Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 775 - 771, you can devote yourself to me
"You still dare to say! Dare you say this has nothing to do with your precious wife!" Oliver Shaw was furious, but Felix Shaw remained nonchalant, "Dad, don’t forget, it was you who forced her on me. You even advised me that as long as I appease her, you wouldn’t interfere no matter how many women I sought out." Felix used Oliver’s own words to silence him, leaving him speechless.
With a cold snort, "Call Mia Foster over, I want to see what she really wants!"
"Alright," Felix lazily took out his phone and dialed Mia Foster in front of Oliver Shaw, "Wife, dad wants you to come over, he wants to talk to you."
Felix intentionally called Mia Foster ’wife’ because the angrier his father got, the more comfortable he felt.
On the other end of the phone, Mia Foster, however, was happy at Felix’s calling her "wife" and her lips curled into a smile.
Half an hour later, Mia Foster arrived at Hutton Industries, sitting elegantly on the sofa in the CEO’s office, her dignified and graceful demeanor only infuriated Oliver Shaw more.
Originally, he admired not only Mia Foster’s family background but also her personal capabilities, yet he hadn’t expected that today she would use those capabilities against him. Leaning back in his chair, Oliver Shaw said coldly, "Tell me, what exactly do you want?"
Sitting on the sofa, Mia Foster elegantly crossed her legs and feigned surprise, "Uncle Shaw, isn’t my intention clear enough? Just agree to give my mother 5% of the shares."
"That’s it?" Oliver Shaw narrowed his eyes slightly, his expression clearly unhappy. Mia Foster tilted her head and raised an eyebrow, "Of course, if you want to give more, I think mom wouldn’t mind."
"No need to notarize the shares for Felix?"
Mia Foster sighed deliberately, "Plucking feathers from a miserly rooster hurts, too many would cause heartache."
Having said that, despite Oliver Shaw’s stern look, she added, "Our Foster Family is well-off, and there’s no illegitimate child popping up to dispute the inheritance with me, so even without your shares, Felix and I will live comfortably."
Oliver Shaw breathed heavily, a sign of his intense irritation, his eyes tightened and he clenched his teeth, then agreed, "Fine, have your lawyer draft a new agreement and send it over, but you must ensure that my daughter will not be discriminated against at school tomorrow!"
"Uncle Shaw, rest assured, children are very forgetful." Mia Foster smiled triumphantly, then stood up and walked out of the office with Felix Shaw.
"Felix, are you satisfied with my performance?" Mia Foster playfully tilted her head and asked. Felix Shaw, feeling helpless, pinched Mia Foster’s face, "You, when did you become so sharp-tongued?"
Such a headache of a problem, she solved effortlessly.
"I’ve always been, just afraid you’d dislike it, so I had to pretend to be sophisticated in front of you," Mia Foster linked her arm with Felix Shaw’s, her playful demeanor charming Felix, who looked softly at her side profile and said, "Mia, thank you."
It was a sincere thank you, but Mia Foster stopped in her tracks, turned to face him, half-jokingly and half-seriously, "Just saying thank you isn’t genuine enough, how about something practical?"
"Like what practical?" Felix instinctively replied, and Mia Foster grinned slyly, "For example... you could pledge yourself to me."
"Cough cough..." Felix Shaw covered his mouth as he coughed lightly, turning his face away, "Uh, just remembered, I still need to visit the construction site later."
Seeing Felix Shaw’s clearly evasive demeanor, Mia Foster sighed inwardly.
