Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 754 - 750, Tracking
At Richview Mansion, Melody Zachary watched as her husband Oliver Shaw’s car slowly drove into the community. Her rented car was stopped at the entrance by the lowered barrier.
She bluffed the security guard, claiming she was there to see a second-hand house, and only after slipping him a bribe did the guard let them through.
The community wasn’t very large, with just over a dozen residential buildings in closed management, so it didn’t take much effort to locate Oliver Shaw’s Bentley parked under the buildings.
Not knowing the exact location of the house, Melody Zachary could only continue to wait in the car until dusk fell, when Oliver Shaw finally emerged from the building, followed by a woman who appeared to be in her thirties with a tall figure.
Had the reminders of the wives’ group not been echoing in her ears, Melody Zachary would have been unable to control herself and would’ve jumped out of the car to slap that woman right away.
So young, and of all men, she had to seduce her husband.
Watching Oliver Shaw embrace that woman before leaving, Melody Zachary’s fists were clenched and trembling slightly.
She sent the driver in front under the pretense of asking about a friend’s address, while Melody Zachary leaned back in the rear seat, sliding down slightly, worried that Oliver Shaw would spot her.
When Vanessa Armstrong was about to return to the building, the driver called her over, pretending to ask where someone lived. Vanessa Armstrong, being new to the neighborhood, didn’t know the neighbors well, apologized, and then pressed the building’s number. Having found out the specific address of the ’home-wrecker’, Melody Zachary also left.
Oliver Shaw drove himself, frowning as he looked at the road ahead. Vanessa said Felix had been to see them, even making threats, which scared Seraphina to tears...
Oliver Shaw was considering whether to bring his daughter and her mother into the open for protection. How many men have affairs, while their wives, in order to keep their status as the Main Palace, pretend not to know...
Oliver Shaw was still considering, but some things did not give him much time to hesitate.
On the weekend, Felix Shaw didn’t have to get up early for once and wanted to sleep in, but he was awoken by the crying and commotion downstairs.
Having been in a bad mood these past few days, being abruptly woken up made him even more irritable. It wasn’t his parents quarreling, and he wanted to go downstairs to see who was causing such a disturbance in their house.
However, before he could reach the bottom of the stairs and see the mother and daughter sitting on the couch, Felix Shaw’s steps came to a halt.
Vanessa Armstrong was sitting on the couch, disheveled and with her hair a mess, her body and face covered in scratches, looking like she had just been in a fight.
Seraphina Shaw was nestled in her father’s arms, her ponytail messy, with a few abrasions on her face and arms, and her dress looking dirty. She was sniffling and crying, eliciting sympathy.
Oliver Shaw’s face was terribly grim, like it was shrouded with dark clouds. He held his daughter by the waist, glaring at his wife sitting across from him on the couch. Although he said nothing, his face clearly expressed his emotions.
Vanessa Armstrong continued to cry to Oliver Shaw, and from her sobbing Felix Shaw gathered that his mother had found Vanessa’s whereabouts, stormed in with the other ladies, trashed her place and then gave Vanessa Armstrong a beating...
His mother might have felt relieved, but no sooner had she returned home than the mother and daughter arrived by car to complain to the father.
Frustrated with his mother’s emotional intelligence, Felix Shaw had been arranging for someone to forcibly send the mother and daughter abroad... But with his mother causing such a scene, one could tell from his father’s face that he was very annoyed with her actions.
Vanessa Armstrong continued to whimper and beg, repeatedly calling out, "Husband, you have to do justice for me..." while Melody Zachary was still oblivious to the fact that she had committed a major taboo that angered men, sitting across from them with her chin raised, demanding an explanation from her husband.
