Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 264 - 260, absolutely do not tell anyone!
Chapter 264: 260, absolutely do not tell anyone!
Her thoughts wandered back to two days ago when Nicholas Croft brought her to his place, somewhat inexplicably.
Doing nothing, and just sitting on the sofa, she watched him drink red wine and smoke cigars.
She wanted to go back, but he wouldn’t allow it; she wanted to call her father, and he wouldn’t allow that either.
Latter, she dozed off in a daze on the sofa, and when she woke up, she was already in bed.
Nicholas Croft lay beside her, bare-chested with his long arms tightly encircling her.
And she was just in her panties and bra, her little face pressed against Nicholas Croft’s chest...
The scenario was too beautiful to bear looking directly at it.
She tiptoed out of the man’s clutches, climbed out of bed, threw on her clothes, and while the man was still asleep, quickly made her escape.
Although she hadn’t seen the process, she could imagine it—Nicholas Croft picking her up while she was sound asleep, walking into the bedroom, and gently placing her on the big bed...
Today, Hannah Hargrave somehow found out, and kept questioning her, asking why she stayed at Nicholas Croft’s house, and why, knowing full well that he was her man, she still purposely got close to him!
At that moment, she let out a cold sneer, "What do you mean ’your man’? He’s just second-hand goods that you used and didn’t want anymore!"
Hannah Hargrave got furious, raised her hand, and slapped at her; but thanks to her quick reflexes, she turned her head, managing to dodge the slap to the face, but her head was not so lucky.
Hannah Hargrave’s slap was merciless, landing on her head, which was still hot and sore.
That’s why, in a fit of anger, she ran out.
Hmph, if it weren’t for the fact that they had saved her once, she couldn’t care less about them, a bunch of lowlifes worse than pigs and dogs, scheming and treacherous!
Wearing fake masks, they were caring and considerate towards her in public, but once the door was closed, she was even less than a housemaid!
"Here, is this drink okay?" While daydreaming, Titus Zane had already brought back some red wine. It was ordinary wine, not too expensive, but still cost over a thousand.
He set the red wine and two glasses on the coffee table, then sat down as well.
Looking at Titus Zane, Beatrice Hargrave giggled, "Thank you, Sister Zane, for taking me in."
"Don’t mention it." Titus Zane glanced at her indifferently, his eyes and brows exuding an unconscious charm. "Now you are a hotshot, a celebrity; being able to share a bed with you is my honor!"
Beatrice Hargrave laughed, shrugging her shoulders, as a glass of wine was already brought before her.
She took it with thanks, holding the glass eagerly and took a sip. novelbuddy-cσ๓
She had been tempted badly that night, Nicholas Croft, that bad man, deliberately smoked cigars and drank wine in front of her!
Pouring herself a glass of wine and swirling it slowly in hand, Titus Zane did not rush to drink, watching Beatrice Hargrave with a look of hazy eyes.
Setting down the glass and standing up, Beatrice Hargrave’s glass was already empty. She leaned forward unabashedly and poured herself another one. Titus Zane was already back, with a lady’s cigarette between his fingers.
Holding the glass, Beatrice Hargrave was about to take another sip of wine when she saw the smoke curling from his full lips and raised her eyes, "May I have one, too?"
Before sitting down again, Titus Zane placed the packet of cigarettes and a lighter in front of Beatrice Hargrave—it was clear what he meant.
Beatrice Hargrave giggled, looking up at Titus Zane, and under his gaze, she took a cigarette from the pack, held it to her lips, and lit it.
She took a deep drag and seemed to relish exhaling the smoke.
"Sigh... it would be perfect if I had a cigar too..."
Titus Zane exhaled the smoke from his mouth and glanced at her lightly, "That’s too strong, not suitable for girls."
Beatrice Hargrave giggled again and then, as if something occurred to her, she straightened up, with a serious look she said, "Sister Zane, you mustn’t tell anyone that I smoke and drink! Especially not in front of the uncles!"
