Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 1025 - 1021: The Hargrave Family’s Daughter Comes of Age (Part 2)
Beatrice said after her father, looking across at Nicholas for his opinion, "Handsome Uncle, do you think I should call you brother or uncle?"
The innocent face before him overlapped with the heavily made-up face in his memory; the first time he met Sophie Foster, she called him "Handsome Uncle." Nicholas faintly curved the corner of his lips and said, "Better call me uncle. At my age, being your uncle is perfectly reasonable."
As soon as Nicholas finished speaking, Beatrice immediately sneered and muttered disdainfully, "Looks so old, yet the mindset is so trendy. Still calling yourself uncle? It’s hilarious."
"Beatrice, don’t be rude!" Henry disapproved, frowning and reprimanding her, as Beatrice stuck out her tongue and made a face.
Josephine, waiting at the door, also walked over with a smile, "Why are you still chatting away at the door? Come in already."
Looking at the "mother" in front of her, Beatrice reluctantly called out "Mom," to which Josephine faintly replied "Mm." Although her lips maintained a gentle smile, upon closer examination, one could sense how perfunctory that response was.
Beatrice took her father’s arm and walked into the villa. Nicholas still stood at the door, watching her back. Hannah lightly supported his arm, saying, "Nicholas, let’s go inside."
The Hargrave family villa became much livelier because of the return of their youngest daughter. The scene of the family sitting together on the sofa chatting and laughing was heartwarming.
"Nicholas, have you seen Beatrice’s competition?" Henry glanced at Nicholas. Beatrice, sitting beside him, held an apple, took a bite, and also looked at Nicholas.
"Yes, I’ve seen it," Nicholas said plainly.
"In your opinion, what path should Beatrice take if she enters the entertainment industry?"
"Well..." Nicholas faintly curved his lips. Sitting across from Henry, he became somewhat hesitant to meet Beatrice’s gaze when she looked directly at him.
"Old Hargrave is also in the industry, surely Beatrice’s career path has been well considered."
"Mm," Henry replied, turning to look at the woman sitting beside him, he raised his hand and stroked Beatrice’s head, saying, "My Beatrice has a pure look, doesn’t really need excessive packaging. So Hannah and I have discussed, and she’ll take the pure route."
As Beatrice munched on her apple, she seemed unconcerned about the future her father had planned for her. Though hesitant to hold his gaze, Nicholas couldn’t help but look again; only after Henry’s comment did he realize that the Hargrave family’s youngest daughter didn’t seem to inherit much of her parents’ genes.
Especially when standing next to Hannah, regardless of appearance or demeanor, they didn’t resemble sisters at all. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
His gaze blurred again; in fact, to be precise, Beatrice didn’t resemble Sophie Foster much either. Beatrice’s skin was much better than Sophie’s; even without makeup, it looked smooth and fair, unlike Sophie’s dullness.
Especially the face shape, Beatrice’s is a standard oval while Sophie’s small face showed noticeable baby fat.
Their voices were even less alike; Beatrice’s voice, like her face, sounded clean and pure... As Beatrice nibbled on her apple and noticed Nicholas’s wandering gaze, she curiously asked, "Uncle Nicholas, is there something on my face?"
She asked, then touched her own face.
"Oh, sorry,"
Nicholas snapped back, withdrew his gaze, and apologetically smiled.
"I plan to hold a media press conference to introduce my daughter to the media." Looking at his daughter, Henry couldn’t hide his pride, already envisioning the substantial profits she would bring to the company in the future.
