Chapter 264: Chapter 264: How Shameless

Marco hadn’t seen her in a year or two, so he was happy to hear from her.

"Chantie, how have you been?"

"I’m good. I heard you’re in Easthan? I’m here too. Want to grab some coffee?"

"I can never say no to you."

Half an hour later, in a quiet coffee shop, a man dressed a little too fancy showed up to meet Chantelle.

"Chantie, I missed you so much!" Marco said. He was a world-famous designer who rose to fame before turning thirty.

It wasn’t just his talent that stood out but his looks were stunning too.

He had crystal-blue eyes that looked almost unreal. He was tall, lean, and fit. One glance and most women would be drawn to him.

He often dressed in mismatched clothes, trying to make himself look less attractive.

He didn’t like too much attention. But no matter what he wore, he still looked good.

In fact, his odd fashion choices usually ended up going viral online.

Today, he wore clothes with clashing colors that didn’t match at all. But instead of looking odd, he looked like he had just stepped off a runway.

He looked bold and breathtaking.

Everyone in the coffee shop turned to look at him and was completely amazed by his appearance.

"I missed you a lot too. How have you been?" Chantelle quickly pulled Marco to his seat. Neither of them liked being the center of attention.

She normally wouldn’t let Marco sit somewhere so open. But a mother in a wheelchair had asked her to switch seats. She was celebrating her son’s birthday.

Chantelle knew Marco hated being stared at. Right now, the waiter was so distracted by his face that he didn’t even notice the spilled coffee.

Marco looked frustrated. He was used to this kind of thing, but it still annoyed him.

"Marco, I’m really sorry. I booked a private room, but something unexpected came up," Chantelle said, clearly embarrassed.

Marco gave her a nod. He wasn’t upset. "Chantie, I know you’d never do anything to upset me. I’ll never be mad at you."

"Marco, you’re still too perfect. Ever thought of getting a partner?" Chantelle quickly teased him. "A perfect woman that will scare away all your admirers?"

Marco gave a small smile, and the people around them gasped. His smile was too charming.

For a moment, Chantelle couldn’t take her eyes off him.

"Chantie, if you’d love to accept me, I’d love to date you," he said loudly on purpose.

"Don’t talk nonsense. You think I don’t know you by now?" Chantelle rolled her eyes and then started telling him what happened at her boutique.

Marco was shocked and furious when he heard her shop had been trashed.

"I’ve been in Easthan for a few days now. It seemed like a safe place. How could this happen?"

"It’s because of some personal issues," Chantelle replied.

"Chantie, don’t hesitate to ask me for help anytime." Marco looked at her with genuine concern.

Back when they were abroad, he already sensed that Chantelle wasn’t just an ordinary person. Trouble always seemed to find her. So, this didn’t surprise him much.

"I might really need your help this time. Most of the dresses in the boutique are ruined. We can’t save many of them. Can I borrow your team for at least a month? I’ll return them when I’m done."

Marco’s team was known around the world. Their work was always perfect and detailed.

Asking to borrow them for this kind of situation was a big favor.

"It’s no big deal. Of course, I’ll help you. I can even give you a few dresses for emergencies," Marco offered generous help to her.

Chantelle’s eyes lit up after hearing his offer. "Really? M-Marco, you’re the best!"

Camelot and Hale was one of the top global brands. Rich people and celebrities often competed just to get a custom dress from them. But their pieces were limited, and getting one wasn’t easy.

So, if Chantelle used those dresses to compensate her clients, no one would complain.

Their dresses weren’t just beautiful. They were a symbol of status and luxury.

"Looks like I just solved a big problem for you. Do I get to have lunch with you as a reward?"

"Of course! I owe you this meal!" Chantelle said with a smile as she happily left with him.

Chantelle was too focused on fixing her problem to notice the stares around her.

"Isn’t that Mrs. Wilson?"

"She already has Mr. Wilson, and now she’s out with another man? How shameless."

"Weren’t there photos of her with another guy before? That one was handsome too."

It didn’t take long before rumors about Chantelle having an affair spread online. People started searching for stories about Camille and Daniel’s so-called love instead.

Kane brought Stephanie to the amusement park that day. He was fuming when he saw the news online.

"What’s wrong?" Stephanie asked, holding her ice cream. She noticed his face looked bad.

"People are saying bad things about our mommy online." He handed her the phone.

Stephanie looked at the photo and gasped. "That’s Uncle Marco! He’s in Easthan?"

"Uncle Marco is Mommy’s best friend. But they’re saying she’s trying to seduce him. This is crazy! I’m going to scold every single one of them!"

Kane answered the comments one by one.

"Don’t you have friends of the opposite sex? If seeing a friend means cheating, then maybe stick to same-gender friends."

"I get it, you’re just jealous because you’re ugly. Moron."

Stephanie saw him getting carried away. She took the phone and typed something before handing it back.

"If you fight like this, it’s only going to make things worse."

"Then what should I do? Should I just hack all their computers?" Kane asked seriously, already reaching for his laptop.

Stephanie rolled her eyes. "There are millions of people. You can’t hack them all."

"Steph, why did you tell Daddy?" Kane frowned. "He gets jealous so easily. He’s probably dying from jealousy right now."

He pouted as he checked the messages on his Instagram.

"These people are just jealous of Mommy. This is all Daniel’s fault. If he can’t even handle something like this, how can I trust him with Mommy?"

Stephanie didn’t call him "Dad." She still didn’t see him that way, so she just said his name.

"You’re right. But I found out some people are spreading these rumors on purpose. I’m going to track them down." Kane opened his laptop and started typing quickly.
