After I calmed down, the moon goddess and I returned to sitting down on the same rock we got up from.

Because I now have an understanding of how the mate bond works, I didn’t ask the moon goddess about it again. Instead, I asked her if she had any ideas who killed those hybrid creatures in that mysterious cave and also asked her about who wrote those bloody words on the rocky walls two months ago.

I also asked her if she had any idea how the cave came into existence. I asked her some questions about that eerily cold cave because, according to Beta Damien and Delta Madeline, they had never seen that cave before in their lives.

Although I didn’t tell the moon goddess that my cats were actually dragons, I asked her if dragons existed, and also, I asked her if she was the cause of the wild beasts’ existence.

I was so curious.

"As for your first three questions, I know nothing about them, my child. Additionally, dragons don’t exist. They are myths. For your last question, I didn’t cause the existence of the wild beasts. I have no idea what caused their existence. But, I have been having some strange feelings lately. I think something is manipulating the wild beasts. That is the reason why the wild beasts are currently mating with other wild beasts that are different species from them, thus creating hybrid creatures".

"Something is manipulating the wild beasts? Not someone?". I asked the moon goddess with a stunned look on my face. I thought she had made a mistake.

"Yes, Clara, something. The strange energy I felt some days ago doesn’t seem like it belongs to any ordinary person or werewolves".

I gasped as I figured something out.

"What is it, Clara?". The moon goddess asked me.

"I figured out that the thing manipulating the wild beasts to mate with each other must have also been the one manipulating the wild beasts to attack everyone during these past years. What if the thing manipulating the wild beasts wasn’t strong before, moon goddess? What if it has gotten stronger lately, as a result of that, causing chaos in the world? And I think that that thing must have something to do with that eerily cold cave and those dead hybrid creatures, including those bloody words that were written on those rocky walls to frame me". "I think that that thing is not only an enemy of the entire world, but it’s my enemy too".

"I have to return to the moon, my child. I have to look into this matter more closely and find out what is going on. I can’t risk you being in danger". The moon goddess said. She did not even wait for me to reply to her, and she disappeared into thin air.

I hissed and groaned upon realizing something very important. I should have shifted into my wolf form and told the moon goddess to heal my shoulders.

How could I forget something as important as that?

The sound of happy meowing made me look at the dragons. They had finally finished eating their fish. Not a single bone of the fish was left.

Fireball and Irving came to my side and laid down next to my legs.

"Why do I feel like the shadows’ pack riches are going to run out because of these two? They have quite the appetite to eat". Two fingers were on my chin as I nodded while saying this.

’Clara, aren’t you bothered? I thought that everything you learned from our mom would make you feel troubled’.

I relaxed my hands on the rock, slightly behind my back, before I replied to Elektra, saying, "Yeah, I feel troubled, Elektra. It feels like a big and heavy storm is coming, and I fear that it will be connected to me. Despite that, I don’t want to think too much about it".

’I understand you, Clara. I also prefer you didn’t think about it’.

I remained sitting on the rock for as long as I could count. I remained there with fireball and Irving, who were asleep, until it was evening.

The sun had disappeared and was now replaced by a crescent moon.

The sky had gotten dark, with countless stars in the sky staring at the land.

Despite not eating anything since morning, I wasn’t hungry because it seemed like I had lost all my appetite. My mind was pretty much blank, and I was thankful for that, as I was not in the mood to think.

With fireball and Irving still asleep, I stood up from the rock with a fierce look in both my eyes.

Two long swords, a combination of red and black, appeared in my hands as I breathed in and out steadily.

"I should practice more often. Sooner or later, I will join the warriors in fighting hybrid beasts and wild beasts. Until then, I must get stronger".

I let out air from my mouth, before I ran at almost the same pace as the speed of light, causing the ground to make an explosive sound before it split into two.

I skillfully aimed my swords at every obstacle I saw and slashed them.

Every slash made a great impact and was enough to make fireball and Irving wake up.

For the final strike, I flew up in the air and aimed both my swords at the waterfall.

After gathering a lot of energy on both swords, I slashed the waterfall and the water divided into two parts for a few seconds before they came back together.

I landed on the ground with my left knee and my right foot touching the ground, while one of my hands holding the swords touched the ground with the other hand behind me.

I rose from the ground, and after making the swords vanish, I went and carried fireball and Irving and headed to the mansion with them.

I had to carry them in my arms because they looked sleepy even though they were awake.
