Beta Damien’s pov,

I tried my best to remain calm as the Lycan King stayed the closest to Alpha Anastasia.

I knew that he was her mate, but I just could not appreciate him being around her.

With all these stories that were going on online, everyone was aware that he wasn’t the one who killed his entire family and the remaining of the Lycans.

It was a demon’s doing.

I felt sorry for him for being accused almost all his life, but at the same time, I just did not appreciate his presence.

Especially now that he was around Alpha Anastasia and also was her mate.

I sighed, because the pressure coming from the Lycan King’s aura was disturbing. I was okay though and was not affected that much.

The same with the dragons, Fireball and Irving.

But staring at the twins and Anders, their faces did not look good and were shining somewhat purple.

They looked sick, and it was all because of the Lycan King’s aura.

It was not a denial. He was strong, exactly like I had heard about.

The door to the ward opened up, and both doctors from earlier, whom I was familiar with, came in.

Doctor Jonathan and Doctor Rebecca.

Their eyes widened as they stared at the Lycan King in disbelief.

All this while, the Lycan King had been concealing his aura and his presence, so now that they could sense his aura, they were very surprised, with their eyes widened in confusion.

"What is going on here? What is the Lycan King doing here?". Doctor Rebecca came forward as she asked.

My brows frowned out of surprise, because of how she was able to recognize the Lycan King just by his aura. Did that mean that she had crossed paths with him before?

"Wait, what?! He is the Lycan King?!". The twins pointed a finger at the Lycan King as they yelled at the same time.

What a move, as if they had twin telepathy.

"I think it’s best you conceal your aura and your presence, Lycan King Nikolai. Can’t you see that you are hurting the kids?". I said to him, as I could not endure how stressed Anders and the twins looked, because they were the ones the pressure of the aura was affecting the most.

"You don’t tell me what to do". He replied to me with a threatening growl.

"I thought you concealed your presence. If what Beta Damien said is true, please conceal your aura and your presence. But if you can’t do that, then go outside, Mr. Respected Lycan King". Alpha Anastasia said to him, and honestly, I was expecting him to threaten her also.

What I did not expect was that he was going to do the exact opposite.

"Okay. I will conceal them for you, my mate". He said to Alpha Anastasia, before he really did conceal his aura, including his presence immediately after.

I was shocked and confused.

A ruthless and scary looking Lycan King like him obeyed Alpha Anastasia without a single moment’s hesitation.

Was he truly the rumored Lycan King, who was said to have ruthlessly destroyed the rogue werewolves who once dared to invade his Vengeful moon pack?

"Mate? He is also our sister’s mate?". The twins exclaimed again, but one (blue hair) of them muttered, "But I thought Alpha Dylan used to be her mate, before he rejected her. Am I missing something?".

Alpha Anastasia sighed. I guess that the atmosphere was giving her a headache.

I saw her stare at elder Penelope, and it turned out that the blood transfusion was over.

She rose up from the sofa and went to stand by the bedside.

Then, she stretched her hand towards elder Penelope and a bright purple light shone and brightened the room.

She was healing Elder Penelope.

It took a while, but when it was finally done, elder Penelope’s eyes instantly opened, and she gasped heavily as she sat up on the bed.

She looked confused and stared at her hands. That was when I went to stand closer after the Lycan King went and stood beside Alpha Anastasia.

Was he going to keep on sticking to her side like a stitch?

I was caught off guard when Alpha Anastasia hugged elder Penelope.

It was surprising to me.

"Aunt Penelope, I am very glad that you are alright". Alpha Anastasia said, while sitting on the bed, as she kept on hugging elder Penelope.

"Anastasia, were you the one who saved me?".

"Of course, Aunt. I could not bear to lose you. But why were you very careless? Were you so eager to die while fighting so that you could prove your point when you said to me that we might not see each other again?". Alpha Anastasia replied with a whimper, and for the first time ever in a while, I felt her vulnerability.

Since she willingly showed her vulnerability, that meant she truly loved elder Penelope.

Though the secrets I had learned about her were still shocking. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

But that did not deny the fact that Clara Hensley was Alpha Anastasia. They are truly the same person.

What shocked me was when I saw tears escaping from elder Penelope’s eyes.

That was something I had never seen after Alpha Ashton and Luna Allegra died.

"I am sorry, Anastasia. I am very sorry, child. I was prepared to die, but after that moment came, the only person I could think of was you. I was afraid that you were going to hate me forever for leaving you without saying a proper goodbye". Elder Penelope admitted.

Alpha Anastasia stopped hugging her, but she added seriously, "No matter what happens, promise me that you are never going to act recklessly again".

"I promise". Elder Penelope said with a nod, before her gaze then focused on everyone inside the ward. But before she could say anything, something unexpected happened.

Someone appeared out of the blue, and if I was correct, she was the moon goddess!

I froze in shock and wondered what she was doing here. That was until I realized what Alpha Anastasia had told me before.

That the moon goddess was also her mother!

I believed her words, but seeing it now by myself, I almost could not believe it.
