Mr Alpha, I Am Not Your Typical Lady!-Chapter 134) The downfall of a great warrior.
Chapter 134: Chapter 134) The downfall of a great warrior.
Elder Penelope’s pov,
It was midnight, and I was in my human form and was sitting on the ground and staring at the dark sky that was filled with bright beautiful stars.
My entire body, including my face, was covered in different colors of blood, making my body stink a lot like last Tuesday.
In the place where I sat, up to 40 wild beasts and hybrid creatures in total surrounded me. They had all been defeated and had died by my hands and the warriors. freewebnoveℓ.com
It took me hours to fight the hybrid creatures and the wild beasts, and when I saw that I would not be able to kill them all by myself, I hurried back to the border while the bastards went after me.
Before I even arrived at the border, the warriors who were stationed in the watchtower immediately alerted the warriors, who then prepared for war.
Currently, I am outside the border, because that’s where the battle happened. We didn’t allow those bastards to invade our border.
But, that isn’t the least of my worries now.
Our pack lost 8 warriors, including a part of me.
"Please elder Penelope, come to the house and rest". One of the warriors said to me. And I could tell that many warriors stood by and were staring at me.
"Just leave me be. I am not in the mood". I replied to him, with my eyes never leaving the beautiful sky.
I feel more dead inside my heart than before. I had lost my wolf, Paloma, to death.
Earlier, when I was fighting, I had exhausted my wolf’s energy and had to return to my human form because of that.
The battle grew more intense. That was because a hybrid creature that was stronger than the rest of the hybrid creatures that we had fought and defeated, appeared out of the blue.
I was barely hanging on.
I had become very exhausted because I had been fighting ever since and was not privileged at a moment like that to rest.
But, at least, I was thankful that the hybrid creature was the last abomination to kill for the day, since other wild beasts and hybrid creatures had stopped coming.
I injured two of the hybrid creature’s eyes using a gun.
Humans are the ones known for using guns. As the richest pack, the shadows’ pack copied the humans’ model and made our very first few guns.
The guns haven’t yet been distributed to the warriors, as we do not rely on weapons as such. What we relied mainly on was our wolf form and strength.
Besides, guns aren’t a big match for wild beasts or hybrid creatures.
The only way guns can be a big match for the wild beasts and hybrid creatures is when you are a professional shooter and shoot either the wild beasts’ or hybrid creatures’ necks, eyes, hearts and stomachs, as those were their weak spots.
So, I had injured and blinded two of the hybrid creature’s eyes, making one eye left, as it had three eyes that were attached to its single head. When the hybrid creature began to attack aggressively, I retreated and could hear my own breathing.
I was breathing so fast, as if I was running out of air. My ribs hurt so much and felt like termites were eating them up.
And my legs were wobbling.
I feared that if I continued to fight, I would collapse. But irrespective of that, I had to hold on. I could clearly see that it was only a single hybrid creature left, but it was the most powerful opponent I had ever faced.
The warriors outnumbered the hybrid creature, but I was aware that before they would be able to defeat it, many of them would have to die or be seriously injured.
But with me here, I hoped that none of them were going to lose their lives again. That was why I decided to continue fighting.
The bullets in the gun had been used up, and I didn’t have any more bullets left.
I had wasted many of the bullets, as I was poorly skilled at using the gun.
Tossing the pistol gun in my hand on the ground, I drew out my sword from my back and leaped up towards the hybrid creature.
As I was up in the sky, I held the handle of the sword with both my hands, "Yaahh!!!", before I stabbed the last eye of the hybrid creature.
The hybrid creature cried out loudly, before it became more aggressive than before, despite not being able to see anymore.
Unfortunately, I was too weak to get away from it on time.
The back of the hybrid creature had thorns attached to it, like idiots.
So, the hybrid creature released them all at once, and I was the only one standing closest to the hybrid creature.
’Penelope, watch out!!!!’. Paloma screamed at me, but I couldn’t move because it happened so suddenly.
I could never tell how Paloma was able to do it, but she gained control of our body on her own and instantly shifted into her wolf form and took the sharp long thorns in my place.
The thorns pierced her heart and neck, and she collapsed. If it had only been a few thorns that had pierced her heart and neck, I bet she might have survived. Sadly, the thorns that pierced her were countless.
Not only was Paloma hit at that moment. Two of the warriors who couldn’t dodge on time also died.
’Paloma!’. I shouted at her from the abyss, as I could not take control of our bodies because she was dying.
The warriors gathered around, and some of them ran to bring a doctor over, as I made sure that there was a doctor on the border.
"Li- live on, my- my dear Pene-lope".
’No! Stop talking, Paloma’. I warned her and panicked.
Before the doctor arrived, Paloma and the two warriors gave up and passed away.
Paloma’s wolf body perished before it transformed into my human form.
The instant that happened, the abyss I was in vanished too, and I saw myself in my human form. Not only that, something like a bright yellow light left my body.
"It was an honor to have you as my human". The voice came from the yellow light. It was Paloma’s voice.
I forced myself up and tried to embrace the light, but then, it vanished. Paloma was gone forever, just like my brother and his wife.
"Aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!". I screamed at the top of my lungs and grabbed my sword where it was lying on the ground.
I was expecting to die when I rushed towards the hybrid creature who was busy swinging its body and was trying to attack whoever it felt was close to it.
But who knew that I would successfully kill it?
I never expected I would be able to kill it, because with Paloma gone, I had become no different from an ordinary human, as she was the main reason for my powers and my strength in the first place. Yeah. Even though I had to train to become who I am, it was because of the wolf in me that I was able to achieve all those strengths.
"Everyone should just leave me be. Can’t you see that I am admiring the beautiful stars?". I said to them, and since they couldn’t disobey me, they reluctantly left one by one.
I remained sitting for as long as I could count, before a bright smile appeared on my face.
"It’s as if the stars are in support of me. There are so many stars tonight. This is a perfect day for me to join you, Paloma". I said to myself, before I grabbed my sword that was beside me and stood up.
As I turned in the direction that led to the wild forest that was the closest to the shadows’ pack border, my gaze turned cold. "I swear, I will make you bastards pay for this". I muttered.
Even though I had become a human and had lost the five sense abilities Paloma had, I was not completely an ordinary human. I was still a formidable warrior.
Once a warrior, always a warrior!
....
Alpha Elektra’s pov,
I gasped as I woke up from sleep. Yep. I was still in control of me and Clara’s body.
I sat up on the bed.
As I placed my hand on the left side of my chest, I noticed that my heart was beating very fast. Not only that, I felt restless.
This feeling was familiar to me. I felt the same way when I was stuck in the abyss. That is, I had felt the same way when the fake Anastasia was alive and had not awakened me, and the next few hours, I heard about the deaths of Alpha Ashton and Luna Allegra, my parents.
No matter what, they were still my parents.
’Why am I feeling the same way now? Did something bad happen? I don’t understand’. I wondered and could not wrap my head around this as I soothed my pounding heart by patting it with my palm and breathed deeply while using my mouth as a support.
