Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 715: Not On My WatChapter
What Arthur saw made his lightning-infused energy boil with anticipation and excitement. He shouted to the Sun King, "You won’t be able to escape. Not today. Not on my watch."
As he spoke, he activated his own Lightning Vessel Sigil technique. This was his source of confidence in thinking that he could stop the Sun King.
He activated the Lightning Vessel Sigil technique in tandem with his Overclock talent. To be exact, he used the powerful lightning in the vessel sigil technique to fuel his Overclock talent. This caused the powerful lightning that he took from the heavens to enhance his entire body.
With his body enhanced, he shot up from the ground in pursuit of the Sun King. Just as the Sun King passed above him, he rose from the ground to smash into the Sun King.
He was like a blue meteor rising from the ground in a bid to break the sky. Thunder roared in his wake, and even more thunder roared as he collided head-on with the Sun King.
He balled his fist and smashed it into the Sun King. The power of the punch created a shockwave that scattered the plasma shell around the body of the Sun King and caused the Sun King to stagger.
His punch caused a crater to form on the plasma shell of the Sun King. This didn’t injure the Sun King, but it removed a layer of defense on him, which Arthur intended to capitalize on.
Arthur targeted the crater on the plasma shell and struck it with his second fist. As for his first fist, it had fractured due to the immense impact of the punch.
The lightning in the vessel sigil technique had increased his speed and strength, but his body wasn’t strong enough to handle the power. This was why his arm fractured after punching the Sun King.
But then the life force in his second vessel sigil technique, the Wood Vessel Sigil technique, rushed into his arm and healed it. His right arm became whole again, so Arthur was able to use it to punch the Sun King a third time.
His left arm had also been fractured after the second punch. So Arthur healed it while his right hand punched the Sun King for his third attack.
This time, the crater in the plasma shell of the Sun King had been hollowed out enough for Arthur’s punch to reach the body of the Sun beneath it. So for the first time, Arthur hurt the Sun King.
The injury was mild, but what mattered was that his punch had struck the Sun King’s body. The Sun King was not willing to back down this time around, especially since Arthur was blocking him and preventing him from escaping.
He has to eliminate Arthur if he is to escape. So he roared in anger as one of his two arms rushed at Arthur to punch him.
He shouted at Arthur, "Impudence. Get out of my way, you tint thing."
But Arthur was too fast in his overclocked state. He dodged the punch and even managed to punch the Sun King again.
The Sun King was fast, but he wasn’t as fast as Arthur. Not only was Arthur’s movement speed fast, but also the speed of his perception and thinking had improved many times. So the Sun King looked slow in his vision.
He was able to run circles around the Sun King while punching him all over. This stalled the Sun King and prevented him from escaping. It gave the small sword ample time to create new holes in the Sun King’s body.
The fight between the two of them looked like a fight between the sun and a violet bolt of lightning. The bolt of lightning was small enough to overlook, while the sun was large and imposing.
Despite the disparity in size, the bolt of lightning was very fast and full of unnatural strength, as evidenced by the shockwaves that were created as the bolt of lightning smashed into the sun again and again.
The clash between them produced flashes of light that lit up the world and thunderclaps that shook the world and deafened those who heard them.
In this fight, Arthur became the eye-catching one. This is even though Void Claw was the one doing most of the damage to the Sun King. His fight with the Sun King overshadowed the small sword and made it go unnoticed by onlookers.
Arthur was injured many times during the fight. But he was always able to heal himself with life force. This kept his strength at its peak.
On the other hand, the Sun King wasn’t so lucky. The Sun King was losing a lot of blood constantly because of the wounds created on his body by the small, sharp sword.
What’s worse is that the amount of blood he was losing by the second was only increasing as time passed. So he was weakening rapidly without an end in sight.
This increased the leverage of Arthur’s power on him as time went by. From needing two punches to get through the plasma shell around the Sun King to harm him, Arthur only needed one punch to break the plasma shell and another punch to injure the Sun King.
With Arthur blocking his way and the small sword constantly injuring him, it quickly became clear to the Sun King that he could die if nothing was done. But he had no way out of the situation apart from his self-detonation tactic. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Usually, in times of danger like this, his go-to move is to self-detonate and destroy everything around him. Even if the threat is not real, but only a perceived danger, he would have used this tactic to solve all of his problems and then escaped.
However, he didn’t want to use that tactic now because the people currently fighting him aren’t the most powerful ones among the invaders. So if he self-detonates now, he won’t have any other cards to play and will be at the mercy of the strongest invaders.
