Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 253: Tests And Competitions.
One would need to impress the elders of the outer sect to earn performance points that way. The alternative is to take tests and perform well in them.
The test will not only reward with performance points but will also reward with better treatment, like an improvement in the accommodation of the disciples. This is how disciples can earn the ten spots above the floor of the S-grade disciples on the mountain.
Those 10 spots are just beneath the accommodation of the elder in charge of the mountain. So the energy concentration in the cultivation room of the ten houses will be second only to that of the elder's.
He discovered a lot of interesting information, such as the competition that is held every five years. This competition is not part of the performance tests. It is more of an opportunity for disciples to change their grades.
That competition is currently being held as it coincides with the regional sect examination. Those who perform well in it will be promoted, and those who perform badly in it will be demoted.
He thought to himself, "Jason should be participating in this competition."
Jason Dyson was the young man that had fought with him when he was challenged by Sky Claw. He knew that Jason had gotten admission into a sect, but he didn't know which sect it was.
He didn't know until he received the dossier from Patriarch Calcetti containing the information of descendants of the family who gained admission into the Blood Skull sect.
Apparently, Jason had gotten admission into the Blood Skull sect with the S-grade invitation because he had a special light body physique. He didn't gain admission because of his strength or performance in the sect examination.
He learned that both the Blood Skull sect and the Sword Way sect had offered him the S-grade invitation. Jason had taken the invitation from the most powerful sect above that of the youngest sect.
That was five years ago. So he expected that Jason should be performing in the competition.
Of course, he doesn't think Jason is in danger of losing his grade. Unless he loses his special qualifications, it will be very difficult for him to lose his S grade. After all, he wasn't invited into the sect because of his strength.
Despite this, it will be to Jason's advantage to perform well in the competition because if he performs well in it, he might earn performance points.
He thought to himself, "With all the benefits that the S grade is being given, it shouldn't be difficult for him to perform well."
Then he turned the page to read more about the sect. As he was reading, his identity card notified him that someone was at the gate.
It lit up and blinked. When he looked at it, he saw the faces of the visitors on the screen.
The image was a live image. The ID card was showing exactly what was currently going on in front of his gate.
The people that had come to visit him were three in number. Two of them were men, while the third person was a lady. They were wearing the uniform of the sect.
All three of them were wearing white uniforms with three skulls on them. This indicated that they were A-grade students.
He had never seen them before, and he doesn't know what they came to see him for. So he tapped the voice icon on the screen and asked, "Who are you, and what have you come for?"
His voice was transmitted to his gate, so they heard his question.
The man in the middle replied, "I'm Root. You can also call m BloodRoot. My companions and I are from the Apex Alliance. We have come to introduce our alliance to you and hopefully recruit you."
He thought about it for a short while. Then he clicked the icon to unlock the gate.
The gate opened for the three of them to enter. Then it closed after they entered.
The three of them walked into the house and found him waiting for them in the sitting room with Roar by his side. The sitting room was the first room they entered immediately after they walked through the front door.
He said to them, "Please sit."
They did, and so did he.
The man who spoke earlier took the lead again and said, "The lady is Blue Vine, and the brute on my right is Silver Gator. They are both officials while I am one of the directors of the Apex Alliance."
After he was done introducing his companions, he said, "You are Arthur Red Mane, right? We got your address and other public information from the personnel hall."
He didn't confirm. Instead he asked, "How did you get my information from them?"
Blood Root replied, "We are an alliance. That's what we do. We have people in various halls and are connected to many more people. Plus, the information we got is public information."
Arthur frowned when he heard that. Blood Root saw this and smiled to ease his worries.
He smiled and said, "It is not exactly public information. But it isn't confidential information either. It is information about your grade, your accommodation, and whether you have registered in the sect or not. So it was both easy to get this information and difficult to get."
"If we didn't have the right person in the right place, we wouldn't be able to get it. If you join us, we might be able to help you do something like this too."
Arthur's frown didn't ease up. He still wasn't comfortable about the lack of privacy, but he didn't complain about it because it was ultimately harmless information and there was nothing he could do about it.
He said, "I have three questions. Why should I join your alliance? What do I have to do when I join your alliance? What do you gain from recruiting me?" freeweɓnøvel.com
Blood Root clapped and said, "Straight to the point. I like it."
