Cultivators at the second mortal coil can't fly on their own, but they can use flying ships or boats with the mana that they store in their bodies. Their minds will also become active so they can use energy stones to operate the flying implements too.

No matter how powerful he is, all he has in his body is his blood and life energy. He can't use those to power machines. It is why he can't make full use of a rank 2 weapon yet.

Currently, Roar is not a good means of transportation because the poor dog gets tired faster than Arthur and gets tired even faster when Arthur is riding him.

He was looking forward to reaching the second mortal coil, so he was eager to find his house and contact his supervisor so that they could schedule a meeting. He has to use the techniques of the sect to transcend the first mortal coil, or all of his effort to enter the sect will go to waste.

It was very easy for him to find his house. His house was number 1 out of the hundred houses on his floor, so he found it even before he stepped off the pathway.

He saw the plaque with the number 1 written on it from where he was on the pathway. So he took the branching path to his right and went directly to his house.

Every house was a two-story building and was walled. There was a gate in front of the house that required his identity card to open.

He placed the identity card in the groove in the gate. This made the gate open for him. Then he went in with Roar. The two of them settled in nicely.

The house was already furnished. But he didn't care about that or the number of rooms it had. He only cared about the cultivation room.

The cultivation room is a small room at the back of the house built into the mountain behind it. There is no window in the room. All three walls of the room are the rocks of the mountain.

It was as if the cultivation room was first chiseled into the mountain while the rest of the house was built around it. The door that led to the cultivation room was at the very back of the house.

The door was a giant metal slab. It resembled the doors of vaults. The door took up the entire wall of the cultivation room.

The cultivation room was not large, but it was adequate. It was longer and narrower than it was wide. Even so, it was wide enough to accommodate two queen-sized beds placed side by side.

He felt refreshed as soon as he got into the room. He could tell that his stamina recovery had become faster and the effect of his breathing technique had become better immediately.

He attributed these changes to the faint glowing lines on the ground of the cultivation room. Elder Bloodhound had called them the energy-gathering array.

Elder Bloodhound had also said that they couldn't appreciate the full effect of the energy-gathering array until they reached the second mortal coil and began refining their internal energy.

So until he reaches the second mortal coil, he won't be able to make full use of the main difference in the different grades of accommodations. That's another reason why he had to transcend as soon as possible.

He closed the door and sat on the small cushion at the center of the room. Then he took out his identity card to contact his supervisor.

The identity card was similar to glass in texture and appearance, but it is flexible. He can wrap it around his arm or fold it into a smaller size.

He double-tapped on the surface of the identity card to activate it. Lines and words appeared in it after it was activated. He used the knowledge and experience from his previous life to navigate to the contact and call the only contact in his contact list.

The call went through immediately. It meant that his supervisor was nearby, as this call function can only connect to those who are close to each other.

After a few seconds of ringing, his supervisor accepted the request for a connection. Then the voice of a lady came out of the identity card.

The lady said, "Is this Arthur?"

He replied, "Yes, it is me, elder."

She said, "I'm guessing that you've arrived at the sect and have settled in. If that is so, then we should meet as soon as possible. Rest today and meet me tomorrow morning at 7am."

"Go to the lecture hall and ask the receptionist for your class. Don't be late."

Then she cut off the call.

Arthur didn't mind it. She was brisk and to the point. He liked that efficiency.

He glanced at the identity card in amazement and said, "I have to learn how to build something like this."

After everything that he has seen since he left home to participate in the regional sect examination, he has put down the innate pride and superiority he felt about the level of technology of this world.

He didn't expect to see something like a personal computer in this world. But it isn't the identity card that impresses him the most. It is the ability to teleport people across vast distances that he yearns for the most.

According to Elder Bloodhound, the identity card, the protective barrier around the sect, the privacy barrier around his house, the energy-gathering array, and the teleportation platforms were all built with formations.

Apparently, anyone can learn formations. But only a few people can master it.

For instance, there is only one person who can build teleportation platforms in this region of the world. That person is one of the Nascent Soul Patriarchs of the Blood Skull Sect.

Elder Bloodhound had said that only those at the fifth mortal coil, also called the nascent soul, can create teleportation platforms. But of all the nine cultivators at the fifth mortal coil in this part of the world, only one of them can do it.
