Chapter 3781 Out of the Garden ?

We stopped by the gate where the crowd had already gathered.

My appearance attracted some attention, and some people came to thank me. Nobody much glanced at Vanh, much less guess that he had become a Sky Sovereign.

However, he got a strange look for his smile, which didn't seem to disappear despite getting the looks.

"It opened!" said someone suddenly, as the gate opened.

People looked around and became nervous. Till now, they were safe, but now they could be killed by the Sky Sovereign waiting outside.

Still, some held hope. That Sky Sovereign would do as he promised.

"These people are idiots. Those bastards will never let them go," he said, grinning. "You should be careful; don't use any offensive abilities, stick to the defense when dealing with the enemy," I advised.

"I know," he replied irritatingly.

Soon, the first person stepped into the mist and disappeared. After that, another. One by one, people begin to enter through the gate and disappear, till less than ten have remained.

"Let's go," I said and walked toward the door.

Soon, I passed through the gate and appeared in the familiar place. Once again, I saw the Earth Sovereigns surrounding me.

Though, this time, the Sky Sovereign is visible.

He is a man with grey-scaled wings. He is quite tall, about seven feet, and has a longer-than-usual nose. Though it didn't make him look ugly; it aligned with his features as such that it made him look handsome.

"A good number of you came back," he said, with a big smile appearing on his face and raised his hand.

I felt the ring on my finger moving, when he suddenly froze, with a shock appearing in his eyes.

"Sky Sovereign!" he shouted, with a voice full of shock.

He could hide the power from the Earth Sovereign well enough, but hiding from the Sky Sovereign powerful like him would be hard.

"How is this possible?" he asked, while Vanh grinned. "Guess what. I had leveled up!" he replied with a grin on his face becoming bigger.

"It shouldn't have been possible, with poison," he said, with him calming down. "There was an antidote," he replied and raised his aura.

For a second, there was a silence, before the winged man spoke again.

"You had become Sky Sovereign, but it still won't change your fate," He said and attacked.

Thankfully, Vanh listened. He flew up, before summoning the shield, while everyone watched.

Bang Bang Bang!

The loud clash rang out through the air. The winged man had begun to attack, and he didn't hold back at all. It wiped away, the irritating grin from Vanh's face and made the blood come out of his orifices.

He is holding on, but barely; he wouldn't be able to defend against more than a minute. If the winged man kept attacking him.

Fortunately, he didn't have to hold on for a minute, half a minute is more than enough for him. I conveyed that to Vanh.

The poison had started to affect him, and soon, it will show its colors.

I am giving him the same poison we have been affected by, but this one is synthesized from the petals of Kavan flowers and made especially aggressive. It won't take days for work, but seconds.

It is after all made from the essence of petals, not its fragrance, that has affected everyone.

I didn't want to use the essence, given how costly the flower is, but survival had no price. I used the essence of petals and other precious resources without care.

I want to live. If I live; I will be getting my hand on another of such flowers. Not to mention, I didn't use it all; more than half of it is in my storage.

Seconds passed, and the attacks continued, before suddenly, the winged man stopped.

"What did you do to me?" he asked, and the grin returned on Vamh's bloody face.

"The same thing, that happened to us in the garden. You have been poisoned, and yours, is especially aggressive," replied Vanh smugly, while the horror appeared on the winged man's face.

"Do you have an antidote?" asked the winged man. "Yes," replied Vanh, and hope lit up, in the winged man's eyes.

"Give it to me and I promise you, I will let you go," he said. "Like you promised to let us go after we brought out the resources," said Vanh, lighting the anger in the winged man's face.

The truth hurts. It was never his plan to let us go. From the start, he wanted to kill us after he got what he wanted. Most of us understood that, but some still kept the false hope alive in their hearts.

"Bastard, don't force me!" he shouted and attacked again.

The moment he did, he shook and vomited the blood. The attack, was quite powerful, breaking Vanh's shield and making him even bloodier, but there was no fear in his eyes, instead smiled.

"Good attack me again!" he shouted to the winged man, but of attacking, the winged man flapped his wings and ran away.

'Smart,' I thought.

Attacking further would have cost more energy and helped the poison spread deeper. Running away is efficient; he might be able to reach somewhere. As for surviving, it would be difficult, unless, of course, he had something good.

'Idiot!' I cursed, seeing Vanh chasing him.

I turned to the Earth Sovereigns surrounding us. They understood what was happening and moved to run.

Puch Puch Puch!

They had just crossed the few steps when red energy spears came down from the sky and began to pierce through them.

Vanh had returned. The enemy was too fast for him.

Within a second, all of them were dead and their storage rings floated away toward the Vanh.

They were not the only storage rings that floated away toward him, but also the ones we were wearing. Including one I was wearing.

He had frozen me with his energy. That I couldn't even move.

I couldn't believe it. I had saved him with the antidote and helped him level up. Now, not only he had taken the storage ring from me but also froze me with his eye's energy.

I was in shock when he appeared in front of me.

"Bring it out, that hidden storage," he said to me.

"I saved you," I said, and anger appeared in his eyes. "Yes, you did. Now, take out that hidden storage ring. I bet you have a massive number of resources; I want them," he said looking at me greedily.

"What if I don't give it to you?" I asked, and the anger in his eyes intensified.

Slap!

He slapped across my face, sending me flying for a few hundred meters before I crashed against the tree.

"You do what I say, no question. You should get used to that because I am taking you to my family, your knowledge is going to help us a lot, help me a lot," he said.

"I am pretty confident, that you will be able to help me reach the Peak of Sky Sovereign and even prime," he added with dreamy light enveloping his eyes, while I watched in shock.

I didn't say anything and got up, but now all the fear and the shock vanished from my face.

There is only a smile on my bloody face.
