Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 264: Heartless Bitch
"Ugh, Boss, when will I be able to fight? I can’t wait to stab that bitch to death!" Leah complained. At first, she was given five assassins with her to kill Ruela at her house.
But when they broke in, Ruela was nowhere to be seen, and that was when Marik realized that Sisi had read through his attack.
She had already guessed that he was the one who freed Leah, and Leah would definitely try to find Ruela at her home, so she told Ruela to stay with her in the Queen’s courtyard.
He also saw the giant flower in the middle of the battlefield from above and knew that must be part of Sisi’s plan.
Everything was dancing in her hand, and she knew how to utilize the situation. As expected of his beloved woman, Sisi was indeed very smart.
Fortunately, Marik was well prepared, and his team had consumed the antidote for the pollen.
Though, he couldn’t help those human soldiers—not that it mattered in the end, because they were no match against Kael.
On top of that, Marik knew that no matter how smart Sisi was, she was still a softhearted woman who cared for Jojo. So the first thing that he planned was to separate Sisi, Jojo, and Ruela.
"Stay right here, and I’ll deliver Ruela to your side," Marik said. "You can do whatever you want with her."
Marik took a deep breath and moved at incredible speed towards Sisi. He might not be as strong or fast as Kael, and it was impossible to fight against the Dusk Star.
However, Marik was still one of—if not—the strongest beastmen in Roc Forest. Unlike Kael, who had been cursed since birth, Marik had the talent, physique, and rigorous training just to be strong.
Thus, when he charged through, he simply knocked aside all the beastmen soldiers who tried to stop him. Some who actually could resist were dealt with by snapping their necks or piercing their hearts.
He moved so fast that everyone on Sisi’s side was overwhelmed, including Sisi herself, who tried to stop Marik by binding his feet using the vines underground, but Marik could break free easily or dodge skillfully.
Garou was the one who finally put up a proper fight. He kicked Marik in the stomach, and it was powerful enough to finally repel Marik away from Sisi.
Garou was huffing as he had to grit his teeth, trying his best to intimidate his enemy. Because honestly, he had already exerted all of his strength on that kick just now and expected Marik to at least roll to the ground after suffering internal injury.
But Marik was only repelled for a few seconds, exposing the disparity of their strength.
Garou might be talented, but he was not as well trained and experienced as Marik.
Sisi noticed this, but she didn’t say anything in the end, knowing that Garou didn’t want to look weak in front of his enemy.
"Your enemy is me, you damned tiger!" Garou growled before shifting into his panther form.
Marik spat out blood to the side before scoffing. "A green boy trying to challenge me. What nonsense!"
Marik shifted into his tiger form as well, and he was bigger than Garou in both forms. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
However, Garou didn’t hesitate to attack, and Sisi decided to help by sending one vine after another, trying to catch Marik off guard.
Sisi was fully focused on attacking Marik, to the point that she was having a headache because she was overexerting her mental power at this point.
Little did she know, while she was distracted, Ruela slowly took a few steps back to hide from the clash. She had no power like Sisi, nor was she strong enough like Garou. So all she could do was hide.
However, right when she took a step back, she felt the sharp tip of a knife on her back.
Ruela froze on the spot and slowly looked over her shoulder.
"Where are you going, Young Miss?" Leah grinned while holding the knife. "Do you think you can run away after betraying me?"
Ruela gasped. Her body trembled as she remembered how Leah slashed her neck mercilessly just because she refused to murder Jojo and Sisi.
"You... you are not getting away with this," Ruela said. "You should’ve run away and never returned after you escaped the underground prison."
"Well, too bad. I am actually a very persistent woman. Since I vowed to kill you and Sisi, then I will do it, no matter what," Leah said before she choked Ruela using her arm. "And don’t you dare scream, or you will die immediately."
Ruela gritted her teeth but didn’t fight back as Leah dragged her away from Sisi.
After making sure that they were far enough, Leah finally put the tip of the knife on Ruela’s neck.
Ruela became even more tense and closed her eyes, bracing for her death.
But Leah didn’t attack immediately. She grinned and asked, "I remember how you were bleeding to death back then. You were saved by the doctor, but why do you still have the will to live with that voice of yours?"
"Do you know that you sound like an old woman who just swallowed sandpaper? Ugh, no man will ever want to be with a woman like you!" Leah mocked. "Isn’t it funny? Many male wolves were in love with you back then because you had the voice of an angel. But you ruined it, all because you wanted to protect that stupid bitch and her equally stupid son! You could’ve stayed pretty if only you listened to me back then!"
Ruela’s heart sank as it was one of her sore spots. Yes, she was very proud of her voice, because everyone praised it. Whenever she sang, everyone would sit still and listen, and it was her biggest asset in finding a husband.
However, with a voice like this, could she even dream of having a husband now?
However, when she imagined Sisi and Jojo on the bed, lying helplessly, she had the urge to protect them.
Even if they could turn back time, she would still do the same!
"I have no regret. Even if it might cost my life, I will still protect them, because I am not a heartless bitch like you!" Ruela declared loudly.
