Mommy Alert! The CEO Daddy Won't Stop Courting-Chapter 519 The Death of Virgil Davies (1)
Only then did he remember that he was seriously injured and under someone else’s control right now.
Compared to staying alive and the great future waiting for him, mocking Adrian wasn’t important at all.
With joy in his heart, he followed Ralph Carter out.
As soon as they left the room, Ralph Carter, with a frosty expression, questioned, "Tell me, where’s the other half of the antidote?"
Virgil Davies laughed, then spoke with a sinister tone, "In the dense forest behind the other villa."
"Don’t play tricks, or I’ll take your life immediately!" Ralph coldly threatened and then looked at Virgil Davies, "Let’s go, get the antidote!"
Virgil Davies looked at Ralph and confirmed at last, "If I hand over the other half of the antidote, are you really going to spare my life?"
Ralph nodded, promising without hesitation, "Don’t worry, as long as you give me the other half of the antidote, I’ll definitely let you go."
He would let him go.
But across the ends of the earth, he would surely catch him and kill him!
With Ralph’s promise, Virgil Davies felt noticeably relieved.
He took Ralph away from the villa and into the dense forest behind it.
When they reached a place overgrown with weeds, he suddenly stopped and looked at Ralph, "I’m still not entirely at ease with you. I’ll tell you where the antidote is buried, and you go get it yourself!"
Ralph sneered.
Someone like him, who breaks promises and is utterly untrustworthy, naturally wouldn’t trust anyone!
He eyed Virgil Davies and coldly asked, "Where is the antidote?"
Virgil Davies pointed to a tree behind the weed pile and looked at Ralph, "See that tree? I put the antidote in another box, hidden in the hollow of that tree."
After he finished speaking, he continued, "We aren’t far from that tree. If I’m lying to you, you can kill me immediately; but if I’m not, I can leave safely."
Ralph didn’t say anything and headed towards the tree.
Soon, from the hollow of the tree Virgil Davies mentioned, he found a wooden box.
The box had a combination lock.
Ralph turned around, just about to inquire, when he saw the fleeting figure of Virgil Davies escaping.
He raised his gun, aiming in Virgil Davies’ direction, "The password?"
Virgil Davies, without looking back, and while escaping, shouted out several numbers.
Ralph sneered.
Such a coward, yet he still dreams of Whitehill’s treasure, dreaming of dominating the world?
This time, he could keep his promise not to kill him.
But did he really think he could escape?
Ralph still didn’t understand Virgil Davies enough.
Virgil Davies feared death, but he was also insidious and cunning enough.
Leading Ralph here wasn’t just to give him the other half of the antidote, nor merely to escape smoothly; he also wanted Ralph’s life.
As he was running away, he didn’t forget to sabotage.
When Virgil Davies reached a tree, he pressed on a bulge of that tree with his hand.
With his action, numerous arrows, poisonous insects... various pre-set traps were unleashed, shooting towards Ralph, who was holding the wooden box...
Virgil Davies stopped at a safe enough distance.
Looking in Ralph’s direction, he smiled sinisterly, "For having tormented me for so long, this is your parting gift!"
The traps laid here long in advance by Virgil Davies were precisely for emergencies like this.
It was his scheming that allowed him to escape from death, to claim everything that belonged to Adrian, to kill this wretch who dared to torment him!
Ha, he had said, anyone who crossed him, who hurt him, he wouldn’t let them off!
He would want them dead, he would want them all in hell!
...
The traps set by Virgil Davies didn’t take Ralph’s life as he had hoped, but they did injure him significantly.
A badly injured Ralph emerged from the traps, not immediately chasing Virgil Davies but first returning to the villa.
He walked into the villa holding the box, opening it while he walked.
By the time he entered the house, the box was opened.
But the box was empty, with no antidote as he thought.
He’d been tricked by Virgil Davies!
Filled with fury, Ralph harshly threw the box to the ground.
Then, he turned to Mark, "Take care of the princess, I’m going to pursue that maniac!"
After he said that, he turned to leave.
"Ralph." Melody Parker called him, her teary eyes looking at him, spoke decisively with a cold gaze, "I don’t want the other half of the antidote, I want you to kill that scum!"
Ralph was in a dilemma, "Princess, this..."
Melody Parker was surrounded by a heavy murderous aura, her gaze icy as she firmly spoke, "I’ll say it again, I don’t want any antidote, I just want you to kill him! I order you to kill him!"
After speaking, she coldly added, "Don’t try to get the other half of the antidote, even if you really get it, I won’t take it."
Even if she didn’t know that the man who died in her arms wasn’t really Adrian.
She would still kill Virgil Davies.
Because Virgil Davies was too cunning, she didn’t want anyone to die at his hands because of her.
Seeing Melody Parker’s resolute stance, Mark spoke with concern, "Melody, your poison..."
Melody Parker looked at Mark, "The poison in me is already neutralized, I don’t need that other half of the antidote."
Mark was skeptical, "Really?"
Melody Parker nodded, "Yes!"
After speaking, she continued, "Dad is old, and the two babies are still young, I won’t risk my life recklessly!"
Saying this, she looked at the clone with pain, "My life was exchanged with his, I will cherish it."
No matter who he was, because he indeed died for her.
Ralph stood there, not knowing what to do.
He looked at Mark for confirmation.
Mark nodded, "Do as she says, in any case, Virgil Davies must not live!"
"Alright." Ralph said in a deep voice, turning and leaving.
An hour later, a murderous Ralph caught Virgil Davies at the Mexican border, "Haha, Virgil Davies, where do you think you can flee now?"
Initially seeing Ralph appear, Virgil Davies was already shocked enough.
He had no idea that Ralph wasn’t dead and actually came after him.
Now hearing Ralph’s words, he was even more shocked.
His altered face looked at Ralph, confirming with a question, "How did you know it was me?"
Ralph sneered, looking at Virgil Davies’s broken leg, "Ha, instead of altering your face, you should have altered your uneven, mismatched crippled leg!" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Virgil Davies: "..."
He knew it, that damned leg had ruined his plan!
He looked at Ralph, struggling with the same old trick, "Let me go, I’ll give you the real..."
"The antidote, right?" Ralph interrupted Virgil Davies, coldly spoke, "We don’t need the antidote anymore, I only want your life!"
