Mobuseka:Leon's Adventure-Chapter 97: Clash with the Five Idiots(17)
Chapter 97 - Clash with the Five Idiots(17)
"Begin!" the judge shouted loudly.
Without wasting a second, Julius lunged into the attack! He unleashed three powerful strikes, aiming for his opponent's torso and head. However, Leon didn't even flinch—he effortlessly blocked each blow, smoothly stepping back to increase the distance.
Noticing this, Julius narrowed his eyes and furrowed his brows slightly before speaking:
"To be honest, I didn't expect you to last against the others..." He exhaled and continued, carefully observing Leon. "I thought we wouldn't have to face each other. Looks like I underestimated you. I admit my mistake..." For a brief moment, his gaze softened. "And I respect your efforts."
A brief silence fell over the arena. But soon, the crowd erupted in cheers:
"Julius, good luck, Your Highness!"
"Destroy Bartfort!"
"Go, Prince! Show him who the real hero is!"
The excitement in the audience grew. However, their cheers weren't solely out of admiration—they had placed large bets on Julius. If he lost, their wallets would suffer.
Hearing these shouts, Leon smirked, though only in his mind.
'Still hoping for the prince's victory? Even after I wiped out his entire team?'
His gaze turned cold.
'Well... I couldn't care less. It's not me who's about to lose all that money.'
The thought amused him, and a smirk flickered across his face. However, he quickly regained his serious expression and refocused on Julius.
'In the future, he and the rest of these idiots might grow stronger... But right now? Right now, they're just spoiled brats who can only boast about their status.'
'They have neither the experience nor the skills necessary to fight me.'
As if to prove Leon's thoughts, Julius suddenly dashed forward!
"Ha!" he shouted as he launched his attack!
A fierce exchange of blows began between them. Their fists and blades clashed at an incredible speed, filling the air with the sound of strikes and the ringing of metal...
"YES! YOU CAN DO IT, YOUR HIGHNESS!" a powerful voice rang out from the stands.
"Win this fight!"
"Please, don't lose!"
The crowd roared, fervently chanting the prince's name. But Leon only smirked, watching the spectacle unfold.
"They just don't want to lose their bets," he remarked with clear amusement.
Floating beside him, his AI companion Luxion spoke up:
"They simply don't want a bastard to win," he stated coldly.
"Agreed," Cleare nodded.
But Leon ignored their remarks, fully focused on the battle. Their exchange of blows continued, the tension in the air growing thick.
Suddenly, Julius shouted:
"I CAN'T LOSE! NOT WHEN I'M FIGHTING FOR THE GIRL I LOVE!"
Determination flared in his eyes, and with renewed vigor, he unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks against Leon's armor. However, all his efforts were in vain—Leon effortlessly parried each strike, moving with perfect precision.
"You're standing in the way of true love between me and Marie!" Julius cried out, delivering another strike.
But Leon simply shook his head.
"True love?" he scoffed. "Anyone with a pair of eyes can see that Marie is just using you for her own benefit. There's not a shred of real affection in her actions."
"LIES!" Julius roared, putting all his strength into his next punch.
A dull thud echoed.
Leon didn't even budge. His armor absorbed the attack effortlessly, without a single scratch.
"Lies?" Leon chuckled. "No. I'm telling the truth. If you really want to know who truly loves you, then look over there."
He raised his hand and pointed toward the stands.
Julius instinctively followed his gesture—and saw... Angelica.
She sat there, watching their duel with unmistakable worry in her eyes.
Julius frowned.

"Hmph. Angelica? Her feelings can't be called love."
His voice carried bitterness.
"She never cared about my feelings... She's no different from the other girls in the palace. They all only want my status! As a prince, I'm just a prize to them, just a stepping stone! None of them care about who I truly am!"
Julius' voice rang through the arena, raw with emotion.
Leon sighed internally.
'Well... he's not entirely wrong about that.'
"Only Marie cares about me!" Julius continued. "She was the first to truly understand my feelings! She gave me something I had never known before... And now you're trying to take that away by force!"
As the fight raged on, Julius slowly began to realize that his chances of victory were slipping away with each passing second. If he couldn't win, then at the very least, he wanted to say everything that had been bottled up inside him.
"How does it feel... to take everything by force?" he asked, clenching his fists. "Do you enjoy it?"
At that moment, up in the stands, Angelica suddenly covered her face with her hands. A quiet sob escaped her, and Olivia, sitting beside her, immediately leaned in to comfort her.
But Leon, undistracted, suddenly spoke:
"Of course."
Julius froze.
"What?!"
But Leon wasn't finished. He continued:
"The way you talk, one would think you're the most righteous prince in the world. A prince who despises his status and never uses it for his own benefit."
His eyes gleamed coldly.
"But do you know what I've seen? I've seen you use your position to order Angelica to stay away from you. And at the same time, you shamelessly flirted with another girl, despite already being engaged."
Leon took a step forward, his voice turning sharper.
"You used your title to get close to Marie. To her, you're just a prince, a symbol of power—nothing more. And Angelica? She did everything she could to make you feel comfortable by her side."
Julius gritted his teeth, but Leon wasn't done yet.
"So yes. I do enjoy this. Because right now, you can't rely on your status. And I can rely on what truly makes me superior—my strength."
Silence lingered for only a moment.
"YOU BASTARD!" Julius roared, charging at Leon with renewed fury!
