MMORPG: War God, You are Invincible Again-Chapter 1378 - 353: Confronting the Enemy
"Hehe!" Qin Huaidao let out a mocking sneer. It was evident to everyone that he tacitly accepted Lu Hong’s earlier questioning.
Lu Hong was perplexed by this and asked, "I don’t believe we’ve had much interaction, have we?"
"The Emperor’s Master has so much on his plate. Naturally, he wouldn’t have any dealings with someone like me lurking in the shadows."
Seeing Qin Huaidao’s sarcastic demeanor, Lu Hong didn’t hold back. Divine Power surged as he pressed towards Qin Huaidao.
In an instant, Qin Huaidao was forced to kneel under the immense force, crashing to the ground with such impact that the bluestone floor cracked open.
"Since there’s nothing between us, why are you dissatisfied with me?" Lu Hong questioned.
"Hmph! As the Da Qin Emperor’s Master, you abandoned Da Qin and Your Majesty during its crisis. Do you think someone like you still deserves my respect?" Qin Huaidao gritted his teeth, struggling against the immense pressure, as he voiced his discontent.
These words left Lu Hong somewhat awkward, and he soon withdrew the Divine Power’s oppression on Qin Huaidao, responding with frustration, "Which eye of yours saw me shrinking from battle? Where did you hear that I went into hiding?"
"Hmph, naturally I deduced it. When the two guards invaded Ming Ze, and you realized Ming Ze’s allegiance to the Ancient Titans, you fled, leaving His Majesty helpless to face hundreds of Martial Gods alone. Can you deny it? Now that things have settled down, you’ve reappeared. Could I really have been wrong?"
Lu Hong found it both amusing and frustrating as he replied, "I’m not as disgraceful as you depict. I don’t want to waste words with you. Where is Qin Hong now? Quickly tell me."
"Hmph!"
All Lu Hong received in response was a cold snort.
With no option, Lu Hong said helplessly, "Your Majesty should still be heavily injured, and I can help him recover faster. Also, you probably guessed why he’s hiding to recover from his injuries. If someone really discovered his hidden whereabouts, do you think he could withstand several waves of assassination in his current state?"
Hearing this, Qin Huaidao deflated like a punctured balloon, losing his spirit.
This filled Lu Hong with a sense of unease, and he urged, "Quick, stop wasting time!"
"He... He went to the Yongning Domain."
"That can’t be..." Lu Hong was rendered speechless by Qin Huaidao’s response. The Yongning Domain, closest to the 13th Domain, was a unique realm of eternal night. Unlike other Great Domains, it remained completely dark even when others basked in the sun’s rays. Furthermore, Yongning Domain’s borders were clearly defined.
The division between day and night was remarkably clear, and as it remained in perpetual darkness, it was called Yongning.
Within the Dark Continent Twelve Domains, Yongning Domain ranked fourth, considered quite strong.
However, its potential to become one of the top three domains was hindered by the wild beasts within, now known as Xiong shou.
Due to the constant night, the Titans’ vision was severely impaired, but the beasts could evolve their senses, making it easier for Xiong shou to survive in Yongning Domain. Consequently, Yongning Domain never attacks externally, as the Xiong shou’s reproduction rate is faster than its own inhabitants, and they delight in devouring humans as food.
Therefore, Yongning Domain, due to this external threat, maintains a unity unmatched by any other Great Domains.
Moreover, intelligence from within Yongning Domain is the hardest to retrieve.
Before Spiritual Energy’s resurgence, when Xiong shou were merely wild beasts, it was relatively safer. However, as Spiritual Energy revived, the wild beasts evolved into Xiong shou, rapidly increasing their power. Presently, it’s almost impossible for information to escape Yongning Domain. Most spies sent to Yongning either perish en route or die on their return.
Lu Hong couldn’t understand why Qin Hong would head to Yongning Domain, closest to the 13th Domain, where the Ancient Titans loathed him intensely, wishing him dead. Why not hide farther away? Why stick so close to the enemy?
Playing a game of ’hidden by darkness?’
Or perhaps Yongning Domain’s eternal night characteristic hindered the Ancient Titans’ surveillance, making it easier to hide?
Or maybe it was because Yongning Domain, being even more remote than the 13th Domain, had more abundant Spiritual Energy?
Many speculations flashed through Lu Hong’s mind, but none had definitive answers. Perhaps a combination of favorable factors led Qin Hong to choose Yongning Domain for his recovery.
Regardless, Lu Hong had no choice but to venture to Yongning Domain.
"Do you have any specific location information?" Lu Hong asked Qin Huaidao once more.
In response, Qin Huaidao shook his head and said, "No, even our people couldn’t keep up with Your Majesty’s steps, and he didn’t permit us to follow."
"Alright, thanks," Lu Hong immediately stopped asking questions. Taking a step forward, he flew over the Imperial City, heading towards Yongning Domain.
Meanwhile, Qin Hong was surrounded by three Ancient Titans.
"Qin Hong, you have no escape," an Ancient Titan said with a teasing glance towards Qin Hong, as if he was their prey.
Qin Hong didn’t respond, calmly observing the three Ancient Titans surrounding him in a triangular formation.
However, the situation wasn’t as they claimed.
At least, none of the three Ancient Titans advanced to attack Qin Hong, keeping their positions and maintaining their formation.
"What? Aren’t you going to kill me? Why don’t you act?" Qin Hong laughed, "Or have you been frightened by me?"
Throughout the journey, Qin Hong had faced numerous assaults from Ancient Titans, but he fought fiercely, exterminating them all.
However, dispatching these Ancient Titans came at a great cost to Qin Hong.
Most notably, it left him with no time to recover from his injuries or replenish his Divine Power.
At this moment, Qin Hong’s fine Emperor Dragon Robe was tattered. Through the torn clothing, one could see the ripped flesh, with some areas even exposing his golden bones.
Yet, despite this, these three Ancient Titans didn’t dare to approach Qin Hong closely.
Given his journey, the Ancient Titans had come to deeply understand Qin Hong’s formidable strength.
He’s incredibly formidable.
The Laws he mastered were exceedingly rare and powerful. Moreover, in close combat, Qin Hong displayed exceptional skill. There had been many instances where several Ancient Titans attempted to surround and kill Qin Hong, only to be defeated instead.
Thus, these three Ancient Titans, though strong, were unwilling to risk their lives recklessly.
"Haha, Qin Hong, no matter what you say, you’re doomed. No one can save you. I can tell you clearly, we plan to drain you to death. No matter what aces you have up your sleeve, your injuries left untreated will only worsen. Eventually, you won’t need us to act; you’ll simply succumb," one Ancient Titan sneered, crossing his arms while watching Qin Hong.
Meanwhile, Qin Hong directly closed his eyes, sitting cross-legged, beginning to regulate his breath and heal.
"I..."
Instantly, the Ancient Titan felt a stinging sense of humiliation.
Inwardly, he roared with fury.
How dare he, how could he dare?!
"Qin Hong, do you really think we don’t exist? How dare you heal before us?!" The Ancient Titan roared in anger, charging furiously towards Qin Hong.
And Qin Hong, this was the moment he had anticipated.
As the enemy closed in, Qin Hong sprung up like a spring, a Heavy Sword formed from Divine Power instantly in his hand, launching a War Challenge.
The blade, infused with Divine Power, could cleave through anything in the world.
In an instant, the sword blade drew a graceful arc, slicing the Ancient Titan in half, blood spurting forth, raining down in a bloody downpour.
The scene unfolded so abruptly, the other two Ancient Titans couldn’t react in time, witnessing their companion fall in a pool of blood.
