Roaaaarrrrrr!!!

Letting out its final cry as a bombardment of attacks landed on its cry, the red wyvern briefly gazed at the sky above it with immense hate.

Wondering if its current state was the punishment the heavens had bestowed upon it due to its lofty dreams, it eventually let out an inward sigh, briefly going over the various feats it had achieved over the years in its mind.

'At the very least… my life was an eventful one.'

With those words being the final thought the red wyvern had, it eventually surrendered its body to the damage it had accumulated, finally accepting its current fate.

…Thud.

Within a matter of seconds, the strands of vitality that remained in its body disappeared without a trace, leaving only a husk of its former self as its entire body fell to the ground.

Then, as if the heavens did not want any other being to lay eyes upon its existence any further, a strong gust of wind blew over the red wyvern's body, swiftly eroding it to the point that any trace of its body was gone not even a minute later.

"We… did it?" Watching the red wyvern's body disappear in front of their very eyes, the ones that were nearest to its body were the first ones to react, feeling immense disbelief at how the current situation unfolded.

Yet, as more and more time passed with the red wyvern finally gone, everyone finally began to accept that the five guilds had defeated the red wyvern once and for all.

"Let's gooooo!!!"

"We fucking did it!!!"

To no surprise, everyone in the five guilds were jubilant because of this, with most of them spreading cheer and laughter as everyone thought back to the contributions they made during the fight.

Naturally, it went without saying that Malutar and the other guild leaders were also glad now that the red wyvern was dead. After all, that meant that the three attempts they used to clear the world raid was not for naught.

However, the excitement and relief they felt from clearing the raid did not overpower the awe and slight fear they had for one certain person.

Thud.

"…Phew." Seeing that the system had given them confirmation that the world raid was finally over, Valyr let out a wide sigh of relief as he landed on the ground.

Deactivating all of the skill effects that were still active, the young man soon had a smile on his face as he watched his guild members celebrate the fact that they had become both a witness and a part to the history of Greater Beyond's player base.

'I wonder what drops we'll get out of this world raid?'

As the question popped up in his mind, Valyr noticed that the four other guild leaders were making their way towards him with wide smiles on their faces.

Not wanting to dampen the happiness they were feeling, the young man continued to smile as he asked them, "What's gotten you all four so happy?"

"What else could it possibly be?" Malutar let out boisterous laughter. "We did it! We cleared the world raid!"

"Of course, that wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for you, Ataraxia," continued the man, to which the other three nodded in agreement.

"If not for you, who knows how many attempts it would have taken us to clear the world raid. Perhaps even 10 of the keys wouldn't have been enough to do it."

"I was just doing what I needed to do," replied Valyr as he let out a slight chuckle. "After all, no one here wants to leave the world raid empty-handed, right?"

Malutar laughed once more as he nodded. "Now you're just asking me to have your guild come every time something like this happens again!"

"Go for it!" Valyr did not back down from the suggestion. "The Azure Coalition is more than willing to accept!"

After the two talked for a bit more, ILikeLamps soon took the initiative to talk with the young man, discussing about how his actions during the latter portion of the world raid made him realize that he still had a ways to go to truly be considered strong.

Not long after, OneTrueJim told Valyr more or less the same thing. However, unlike ILikeLamps, the man discussed it from the perspective of the recently finished Nine Prodigies of Astella tournament, realizing during the final battle that Valyr's reputation wasn't unfounded.

Eventually, Malutar and the other two left Valyr to his own devices, coming to an agreement with him that they'd meet up again once it came time for them to distribute the rewards they received.

Yet, that meant that one of the guild leaders still remained with him.

"Ataraxia." SoaringSkies1 looked at Valyr with a solemn expression.

"SoaringSkies," said Valyr in return, faintly nodding at the man.

"…Haah." Staring at the young man for a while, SoaringSkies1 eventually let out a sigh as he shook his head. "First of all, I would like to apologize for my behavior, Ataraxia."

"What for?" Valyr looked back at him in slight confusion. "It's not like you put me in harm's way or anything."

"Is me suggesting your guild take the hardest path not putting you in harm's way?" asked SoaringSkies1 in return, beginning to feel like his apology wouldn't go the way he thought it would.

"Well…" Valyr briefly scratched his cheek. "If I told you I was planning to take the hardest path even before you made the suggestion, would you believe me?"

"…" Hearing those words come out of his mouth, SoaringSkies1 was briefly left at a loss for words.

Shaking his head to regain his composure, the man still tried to apologize to him. "Even though that may be the case, I still feel like it's better that I apologize. I feel bad that I've been rude to you throughout the entire world raid."

"Let bygones be bygones, then." Seeing that SoaringSkies1 truly began to feel remorse for what he did, even though it didn't really matter to him that much, Valyr decided to accept the man's apology for the latter's sake.

"We've already come to an understanding with your apology, and that's enough."

Saying those words, the young man took the opportunity after that to head to where his guild members were, leaving SoaringSkies1 remaining at the spot the other guild leaders were previously at.

"Let bygones be bygones…" murmured the man to himself, only to then glance at the gradually shrinking silhouette of Valyr's back.

Yet, at that moment, the man felt as if that back was far larger than even his own.

"Why was I even envious of Ataraxia in the first place?" asked SoaringSkies to himself, only now taking the time to do a bit of self-introspection.

Faintly shaking his head, he inwardly admonished himself as he let out a wry chuckle. "Although it may seem like our goals are similar, our paths still differ."

"There are some things only he can do, while there are some things only I can do."

SoaringSkies1 let out a chuckle after that.

"I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to learn from his actions."

"Especially if I want to embody the name I gave myself."
