MMORPG: I was BUGGED-Chapter 230: The Bloodcountess
After successfully traversing the treacherous abyss, the corridor led Xin and Midnight Duchess to the sixth and final room of the third level of the Bizarre Tower –– the prison of the mysterious captive.
"I can’t believe this is the final area before the fourth level," Midnight Duchess muttered, her eyes scanning their surroundings.
"No one has ever made it to the fourth level, right?" Xin asked, seeking confirmation.
Midnight Duchess nodded. "And very few have reached this room on the third level. We should be proud of our progress so far."
"It’s all thanks to you and Grey Smoke," Xin said, acknowledging their valuable contribution to most of the challenges in the dungeon.
Midnight Duchess shook her head. "It’s not just us; it’s the entire group and your golems. Neither Grey Smoke nor I can do it alone."
She then fixed a serious gaze on Lord Schrödinger. "What we’re about to face is likely a boss. No one has ever made it past this room. This could be the end of our journey. Are you prepared?"
Xin nodded and took a step forward. "But let’s be clear, I don’t plan to stop here. We will be the first to conquer the last part of this dungeon."
Midnight Duchess watched Lord Schrödinger’s resolute figure and couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. "That’s the spirit."
Xin and Midnight Duchess stepped into the third level’s final chamber. An air of tension settled over the room, laden with heaviness and the palpable sense of impending doom.
The dim torchlight cast unsettling shadows on the walls, revealing ancient writings and a terrifying mural depicting the vampire’s imprisonment.
At the heart of the room lay the magical coffin adorned with intricate mystical sigils.
A sense of anticipation hung in the air as Xin and Midnight Duchess believed that the coveted [Book of Life], their main quest item, was one step away after they checked what was within the enchanted coffin.
To shatter the barrier guarding what’s inside the coffin, they needed to use drops of blood and recite the incantation carved on the wall.
As the coffin began to creak open, a palpable otherworldly aura filled the air, signaling the awakening of the prisoner within.
Midnight Duchess and Xin instinctively took a step back, their eyes fixed on the slowly opening lid.
"Get ready," Midnight Duchess cautioned, her voice low and steady.
Xin didn’t underestimate the impending battle. He swiftly conjured ten Basic Golems, Five Elemental Golems, and two additional Abyssal Golems, depleting his reserves significantly. This left him with only one out of fifty Golems he could create in a day.
But it was all worth it if they were going to face a boss that none could defeat thus far.
They could just proceed to the last level tomorrow so he could replenish his reserve of golems again.
Xin got ready when the once-dormant figure awoke, its eyes glowing with an eerie intensity. The atmosphere crackled with tension as Xin and Midnight Duchess prepared for the impending confrontation.
"Who dares disturb my slumber?" an eerie woman’s voice croaked from within the coffin, and a chilling gust settled in the room.
Gradually, a figure emerged, but it wasn’t a grotesque monster; it was a beautiful Bloodcountess.
The Bloodcountess emerged with an aura of sinister elegance. Her long, ebony hair cascaded down her back, contrasting sharply with her pale, flawless skin.
Her eyes glowed crimson, revealing an otherworldly allure, while her regal attire hinted at a bygone era.
Despite her beauty, a malevolent glint in her gaze hinted at the darkness that lurked within.
ǁ Bloodcountess ǁ
When a vampire indulges in the blood of a thousand mortals, it transforms into a fearsome Bloodcount.
These creatures are visually striking, their skin as pure white as freshly fallen snow, while their eyes, nails, and hair shimmer in brilliant shades of crimson.
Strangely, a Bloodcount seems incapable of speaking above a whisper, a fact one should never challenge, for they rarely repeat themselves.
Bloodcounts possess formidable blood magic, siphoning the life force from their living thralls to fuel unholy spells.
True to their name, they harbor an unhealthy obsession with the blood of the living, even by vampire standards. They collect the vital fluids from their numerous victims, storing them in a vast pool within a well-fortified lair.
To a Bloodcount, few pleasures compare to immersing oneself in the blood of countless innocents while being waited on hand and foot by those enslaved through its magic.

"Ara~ Visitors?" The Bloodcountess chuckled, her voice dripping with amusement. "It’s been a while since I had guests."
The voice of the Bloodcountess was a melodic yet chilling whisper, sending shivers down the spines of those who heard it.
Each word dripped with a mix of seductive allure and predatory menace. Her tone was tinged with amusement, as if she took pleasure in the fear she instilled in her visitors, adding to the unsettling aura that surrounded her presence.
A droplet of sweat slid down Xin’s face, his eyes fixed on the vampire before him, boasting an imposing 450k HP. Its stats and skills were formidable, leaving no room for underestimation.
It was no surprise that previous attempts to defeat her had failed.
If there was no constraints on numbers and item usage, this dungeon would likely be a manageable challenge.
Midnight Duchess wore a serious expression. "Encountering an enemy with this level of HP is a first for me."
"Really?" Xin felt a knot tighten in his stomach. These were not the words he had hoped to hear.
Midnight Duchess briefly glanced at Lord Schrödinger. "Seems like we’re in for one hell of a fight."
With just the two of them? Xin thought, sighing inwardly. It was a grim chance that they would win.
But he wasn’t ready to concede defeat. If push came to shove, he was prepared to summon Elysia into battle.
"What’s that smell?" the Bloodcountess mused aloud, her voice sending a chill down Xin and Midnight Duchess’s spines.
Both Xin and Midnight Duchess were shocked when the Bloodcountess materialized behind him in a blink.
Xin was frozen in place as her nails dug into the side of his neck, her nose sniffing at his skin before she plunged her fangs into his neck.
