Miracle Farmer with Special Abilities-Chapter 597 - 0: The Slaughter Begins_1
This is a very remote place in China, belonging to the Honglong River area. It’s a great distance from Yanjing; even by Sword Control, the journey would take an hour. A large village is located here—Jiang Family Village. In truth, less than a tenth of the residents share the surname Jiang, but that was the name the village had always had.
With a population of over a thousand, nearing two thousand, Jiang Family Village was especially tranquil in the dead of night. Lights remained on in only a few households. Dogs were barking restlessly, sensing something was amiss.
Suddenly, a massive dark shadow flew in from the sky. It was a peculiar aircraft, resembling a cylindrical fortress, and it made absolutely no sound. Had anyone seen it, they would have suspected it was an alien vessel, as no nation on Earth could produce such a craft.
Soon, the aircraft landed on the large square in Jiang Family Village used for drying grain.
Fifty-one people swarmed out. Each was masked and clad in black, exuding a thick, murderous aura. Their eyes shone with a brutal light.
"A009, set up the jammer," the masked leader ordered coldly.
"Yes." A masked man in black answered respectfully and retrieved a strange device from the fortress. It was exquisite, resembling a thermos flask. He planted the device in the earth just outside the grain-drying square, burying more than half of it before flicking a switch. The device immediately began to glow with a red light.
"Hahaha..." The lead masked man began to laugh wildly, his voice echoing like thunder, completely unconcerned about being overheard. Once activated, the device blocked all television, internet, and mobile phone signals. In other words, from this moment on, Jiang Family Village was completely cut off from the outside world. No matter what happened here, no one outside would ever know, because the villagers had no way to contact them.
"Who is that? Why do they sound so terrifying?"
Practically all the villagers were startled awake, their faces pale with fright. Some children even began to cry in terror. The murderous aura was so thick that it enveloped the entire village, frightening even the dogs into silence.
"Go now. Chop off the heads of everyone in this village and build a great mound of them right here," the lead assassin said with a vicious grin.
All the masked men froze. Although they were assassins who had killed countless people, they had never massacred an entire village on such a scale.
"Why kill so many people?" one of the masked men in black asked hesitantly.
"Heh heh heh... Because we need to force someone who is very difficult to assassinate to commit suicide. If he doesn’t kill himself, we’ll slaughter a thousand people a day until every last Chinese person is dead," the leader sneered.
"He’s not an idiot, is he? Why would he possibly commit suicide?"
All the black-clad masked men were stunned, looking at their leader as if he were a fool. I bet his head got slammed in a door.
"Of course I know he won’t commit suicide," the leader sneered. "But he will be driven mad with rage. He’ll come out of his turtle shell to act as bait, hoping to lure us into an assassination attempt so he can capture us and try to destroy our organization. But how could he possibly know how powerful and terrifying we are? The moment he shows himself, we will have a way to kill him."
Everyone fell silent, clearly still unconvinced by his method.
"What are you waiting for?" the leader barked.
The fifty black-clad, masked assassins respectfully acknowledged the order and charged toward the village with sinister grins. Icy waves of murderous intent erupted from them, chilling the very air.
Just as the village was about to be annihilated, a green light flashed.
A Flying Saucer appeared out of thin air, hovering above the village. Its doors flew open, and hundreds of experts swarmed out.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
They descended like divine soldiers from the heavens, hurtling toward the fifty masked men in black.
All the assassins were dumbfounded. The leader’s eyes widened to their absolute limit, his face a mask of disbelief. Their operation had been perfectly concealed; there was no way they should have been discovered. They had even jammed all signals in the village. So how could so many experts suddenly appear? And what was that Flying Saucer? Could it be... Extraterrestrials have arrived?
He didn’t know that while he could block ordinary signals, he couldn’t block Tutu’s miraculous abilities. She had simply hacked into the villagers’ phones to monitor the anomaly.
"Fall back! Wheel Formation!" the assassin leader, a man of extensive combat experience, roared.
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
The fifty black-clad, masked men retreated with unbelievable speed, forming a bizarre formation in the blink of an eye. They formed groups of five, each man clasping the left hand of the one next to him to create a circular wheel, their right hands brandishing gleaming Cleaving Knives.
In this way, they formed ten such Wheel Formations, with their leader protected in the center. The formation seemed incredibly powerful. Their combined aura surged, increasing at least fivefold until it was terrifying to behold. It seemed as if they could defeat any enemy.
What formidable assassins. What a formidable formation.
All the cultivators were inwardly stunned, their faces showing apprehension. None of them dared to rush forward and attack recklessly. Attacking a Great Array rashly would lead to disastrous consequences.
Nevertheless, they didn’t hesitate. Pairing up, they moved to completely surround the assassins. Today, no matter what, they could not let a single one escape. On a normal day, it was difficult to find even one assassin from the Black Bell. To have so many of them here today was a rare opportunity. If they could wipe them all out, they would earn considerable merit. After all, they would not only be killing these demonic assassins but also saving so many innocent villagers.
"Who are you?" the assassin leader asked, his sharp gaze sweeping over the numerous Chinese Cultivators. A wary expression crossed his face as he realized how terrifyingly strong they were. Among them were even two Nascent Soul Early Stage Cultivators.
"Assassins of the Black Bell," Zhang Bin said with a sneer as he stepped out from the crowd. "You are deranged enough to slaughter so many ordinary people. We are, of course, here to exterminate you."
Since Zhang Xue was paired with Zhang Bin, she naturally stepped forward with him, her own expression cautious. Standing side by side, the handsome, dashing man and the beautiful, alluring woman looked like a perfect pair, a golden couple seemingly made for each other.
Zhou Tianyu and Zhang Hangkui were great experts who didn’t need partners, so they each formed a group of one. Worried for Zhang Bin and Zhang Xue’s safety, they positioned themselves just behind them.
"How did you know our target was Jiang Family Village?" the leader demanded, his face a mask of shock and confusion.
"That is, of course, thanks to Master Siyang Ze," Zhang Bin said with a wicked grin. "He is quite familiar with your Black Bell, so naturally, he could deduce your movements."
Damn it! That bastard is framing me! Siyang Ze, who was also in the group, trembled with rage.
