The Qin Family members secretly admired Qin Fugui. True to his reputation as an old hand in the business world, his analysis was very logical.

Qin Anruo continued her questioning, "So, will the Chairman of the Zhulu Group agree to let me take over as President of the Qin Corporation?"

She asked impatiently, "Why hasn’t the Chairman of the Zhulu Group called us up yet?"

"Don’t be impatient. We just have to wait a little longer. It should be soon," Qin Fugui said with a smile. The wait lasted for more than two hours.

Just then, the Chairman’s secretary walked over and said with a smile, "Everyone, the Chairman will see you now."

The members of the Qin Family sighed in relief. They were finally being summoned.

They followed the secretary to the Chairman’s office on the top floor of the Zhulu Tower.

The moment the door opened, the entire Qin Family jumped in shock.

Inside the office stood three people: Ye Xiu, Qin Qing, and a middle-aged woman.

The Qin Family recognized the middle-aged woman; she was none other than the Chairman of the Zhulu Group, Ding Manlin. This wasn’t surprising, as it wasn’t the first time they had seen her.

What truly shocked them was that Qin Qing was sitting in the Chairman’s seat.

"How presumptuous of you, Qin Qing!" Qin Fugui charged into the office, his face red with anger, and bellowed, "Is that a seat you’re allowed to sit in? Get up this instant and apologize to Chairman Ding!"

Qin Anruo said in a panic, "Qin Qing, you’re far too bold! How dare you sit in the Chairman’s seat of the Zhulu Group? You’re courting death!"

She then turned to Ding Manlin, bowing obsequiously as she apologized. "Chairman Ding, please don’t misunderstand. Grandfather actually expelled Qin Qing from the family yesterday. Her actions have absolutely nothing to do with the Qin Family."

"Exactly, exactly! Qin Qing’s offense has nothing to do with the Qin Family," Qin Fugui hurriedly added.

The other members of the Qin Family also began scolding Qin Qing while apologizing to Ding Manlin, terrified that Qin Qing’s audacious behavior would enrage the Chairman and bring disaster upon the Qin Family.

"Everyone, please calm down," Ding Manlin said with a smile. "As of today, I am no longer the Chairman of the Zhulu Group, but the Vice Chairman. The position of Chairman of the Zhulu Group will be taken over by Qin Qing."

"I am not joking," Ding Manlin said gravely. "Mr. Ye Xiu personally ordered that Qin Qing is to take over as Chairman of the Zhulu Group. From this day forward, every command she gives, even if it’s a mistake, must be executed unconditionally by all employees."

Ding Manlin’s words hit them like a bombshell, leaving the entire Qin Family stunned.

Ye Xiu personally gave the order? Doesn’t that mean...

"The Zhulu Group is yours?" Qin Fugui asked, looking at Ye Xiu with a trembling voice.

"Surprise! Didn’t see that coming, did you?" Ye Xiu asked playfully.

Though no hand was raised, the members of the Qin Family felt as if they had just been viciously slapped across the face. Just the day before, they had been cursing Ye Xiu, claiming his actions were all part of a scam to marry Qin Qing and steal the Qin Family’s fortune. Now, in the blink of an eye, they had been proven completely wrong.

The Zhulu Group was a super-conglomerate with nearly a trillion in assets, and it belonged to Ye Xiu alone. With such immense wealth, why would Ye Xiu possibly covet the Qin Family’s meager assets?

"No..." Qin Fugui wailed frantically. "Please, no... Don’t..."

Qin Fugui, along with the rest of the Qin Family, knew all too well that it would be ridiculously easy for the Zhulu Group to annihilate the Qin Corporation. Forget anything else, if the Zhulu Group simply announced it was pulling its investment from the Qin Corporation, no one in Jin Ye City, or perhaps even the entire country, would dare to do business with them again.

"Do you know why Ding Manlin called you last night and invited the Qin Family to visit the Zhulu Group?" Ye Xiu’s tone grew colder.

Qin Qing was momentarily stunned by his words, but she quickly understood. The Qin Family’s presence here today had clearly been orchestrated by Ye Xiu.

At that moment, the rest of the Qin Family also realized what was happening.

Qin Fugui asked, "Why? Why did you arrange all this?"

The Qin Family was dumbstruck. So, according to Ye Xiu, the Qin Family had not only missed its one chance to become a top-tier powerhouse, but it had also doomed the Qin Corporation?

"Rest assured. I will ensure the Qin Corporation and the Qin Family are utterly ruined in the shortest time possible," Ding Manlin replied respectfully.

Qin Fugui fell to his knees with a thud. He scrambled to Ye Xiu’s feet, pleading, "Please, no! I was the one who disrespected you, it has nothing to do with the rest of the Qin Family! I’m begging you, for Qin Qing’s sake, spare the Qin Family this one time!"

"You’ve already expelled Qin Qing from the Qin Family. What standing do you have to ask for anything on her behalf?"

After saying this, Ye Xiu gave Qin Qing a subtle glance and left the chairman’s office.

Qin Qing understood the meaning in Ye Xiu’s glance as realization dawned on her.

Last night, Ye Xiu said he had a way for me to return to the Qin Family and for them to accept him. At the time, I didn’t believe he could do it. Now I do! He staged this whole scenario today! It was never about destroying the Qin Corporation or making things difficult for the Qin Family. It was just to give them one last chance to invite me back and accept him.
