Chapter 304: Solution?

Aware that Violet had even gone as far as to stand in front of her. A quick glance at Cain had been enough to feel the bloodthirsty aura he exuded, which was the same as when she had stepped into his mansion as a witch and he had looked at her as nothing but one that he hated and needed to kill.

Trying to cover the clear and very visible mistake Uva had made, Violet went ahead to ask her questions, which was truly all she cared about.

"Are you saying that it was the curse that caused it?"

"Also... are you a hundred percent sure? I mean, it’s impossible and never heard of before. A Red and Werewolf blood in one body?" she asked question after question with an incredulous look on her face that showed just how hard it was for her to believe what she had just heard.

"Is that why he can’t eat?" An even more horrific look appeared on her face as she turned to look at Cain, almost like nothing else mattered as she stuttered to ask him but still went ahead to do so.

"Do-do you crave blood?" she asked, unable to get the thought out of her head, considering how Cain not only found it difficult to eat but also threw up whatever he ate.

But the question had only come out of her mouth when Cain pulled her closer to him, dropping his lips down to hers the very next second, and this time there was nothing soft about his kiss.

His mouth moved to explore every part of Violet’s mouth as he moved like he would like nothing more than to devour her.

The kiss was passionate in a way that left Violet gasping for air until Cain felt like it was enough before drawing back with a sly look on his face.

"Did you feel any fangs while I was in there?" he asked, and Violet couldn’t even glare at him properly as she was still focused on catching her breath, even as she pulled away from him.

"I get it!" she grumbled under her breath as she glared at him, reaching up to touch her bruised and red lips, even as Cain continued to look at her with an expression that showed that he would like nothing more than to continue.

"To be honest, it should be impossible, and both of them cannot coexist in his body. One has to be removed!" Uva chipped in, not because she wanted to, but the last thing she wanted was to look useless.

Cain might have distracted Violet from the bloodthirsty aura he exuded a few minutes ago, but one glance at him was enough to show that the moment Violet so much as decided to leave, Cain would have no qualms about killing her and replacing her, something that wouldn’t be too hard since Lord Vazer had other witches working under him.

"There are two different kinds of blood, and the longer it stays in Lord Cain’s body, the sicker he will be!" she continued, speaking indirectly to Violet instead, who seemed to be extremely invested in the problem, which she was terrified to realize that she had no solutions for.

Not even surprised to hear the next question Violet opened her mouth to ask, "So what’s the solution? How do we fix it?" Violet asked with a clearly impatient look on her face.

Violet knew that Cain was standing and had even gotten stronger, and the thought that it wouldn’t be a person that would kill him but his own body terrified her in ways that she couldn’t express.

Worse, she was angry at the fact that she was still too powerless to do anything about it, so much so that Cain, with his own problems, always had to be the one to swoop in and save her.

For a few seconds, Uva had nothing to say, even as Violet stared at her with a clearly worried expression on her face.

Her face begged for answers, which Uva knew she had no answers for. Yet, it wasn’t until she felt the intensity of Cain’s gaze fall on her that she opened her mouth to speak.

Allowing words—any words—to tumble out of her mouth as she spoke.

"I-I don’t have a solution right now, but with some help, I can get one!" Uva responded, thinking of the coven witch she had previously met.

But the memory had just popped into her head when she realized that it might not actually be a great idea. The only bad thing was that Cain seemed to realize it at the same time. novelbuddy.cσ๓

"Help? You mean the kind you got that almost killed me by giving you that bottle?" Cain asked, with his arms still folded tightly around his chest, even as he fixed a dark look on her as he stared at her.

"It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out! She was clearly trying to kill me!" Cain continued, even as he stared at her with a look that only Uva understood as he said the next words that he slowly spoke.

"The only reason you’re still alive and breathing is because you somehow saved me!" he said, his voice low and extremely threatening, enough for even Violet to feel a shiver run up her spine as she heard him speak words that sounded like he would like nothing more than to dash forward and tear her to shreds.

Uva vigorously nodded her head, even as she lowered her head at the same time.

Violet still stood between her and Cain, even as she immediately began to speak.

"She’s supposed to teach me too!" she added, and for a split second, she watched as Cain raised his head to argue about it.

Enough for a deep frown to appear on his face and show that he was having second thoughts about the concept of her learning magic, only for him to shut up and let out a long and deep breath instead.

"Find a solution... even a temporary one! If not!" Cain said, even as he turned around to head towards the door of the room, pulling it open.

But instead of walking through it, he gestured towards Uva instead, who instantly got off the chair she sat on and hurried out of it like something cruel and sinister was chasing her.
