Mated To The Demon Prince-Chapter 123: Please Don’t
The pain she suffered from was so unbearable that she wished she remained unconscious until the end of times. Eva’s vision slowly returned, a bit blurry and unfocused. Her body lying on a cold floor as the surrounding air smelled dead and stale.
Where am I?
It was a strange place. The room was partially dark, with only a small flicker of flame in the distance. The room was bare. She considered the possibility of actually dying from the stab wound in her heart and transmigrating to an interesting place called Hell.
’’Ah...’’ It was difficult to raise her hand to touch the gaping hole between her breasts. Her whole body was partly paralyzed in response to the amount of pain that seized her down and the poison she received from the god-slaying dagger. But it hurts breathing when you have a bloody hole in your chest. She noticed the dagger had been removed, and Eva considered the possibility of her surviving a weapon that was forged by the moon goddess to slay a tyrant fallen God.
It was supposed to be impossible.
But somehow she survived and was in unmeasurable pain. Lying uselessly on the cold floors of the cell she had been locked in, dealing with the pain that felt like fire crawling under every inch of her skin and fighting to survive and keep her eyes open.
Eva noticed how only one of her vision, the left part, was clearer and the right seemed damaged. It could be those parts of her body the poison was able to overcome. Confusion began to settle heavily on her. She wondered why she was kept in this place. The confusion was swept away by how awful she was in achieving a simple task entrusted to her to get rid of the demon of this world. How everyone here was going to suffer and lose their lives the most because of her failure.
How the chances of returning home and having things back to normal in her life was only going to be too good to be true from now on.
’’I’d rather just die...’’ She broke into a sob that caused slight trembles in her wounded body. The pain of failure and losing her one chance to make everything fine was thrown under the bus because she couldn’t bring herself to stab the one entity she had ever only truly loved, admired and desired. When she thought of doing it, the look in his eyes hit that weak part of her—the foolish part, and she just couldn’t bring herself to do it.
But look at her now.
Who’s here lying in a cell, suffering a wound to the heart from the god-slaying dagger?
He didn’t even blink an eye or hesitate to stab her with it. Which made her question so many things about him? It scared her to know just what type of feeling he held for her. It was so scary and painful that...she would rather just wait here and die.
Yes, the poison from the God-slaying dagger would do its job to finish her completely if she just remained calm, sucked it all in and waited for death.
An unsettling feeling washed over her senses at another possibility of her never dying. She recalled what he did to her moments from dying. What did he have forced inside her chest before stabbing her at the same place?
Could it be...?
Oh, fuck!
’’Ahhh!’’ Eva gasped as she forced herself to lay on her side. The warm feel of blood spilling out of her mouth and trailing the sides of her jaw was the least of her problems.
What exactly did he do?
She cried inside. Having a haunting feeling of what he must have done. Could it be the reason she hasn’t died yet? He stabbed her right after, forcing something right inside her heart that would prevent her from dying and escaping him.
’’Oh god...’’ Eva cried out in frustration. Her palms soaking in the pool of her blood beside her. It doesn’t matter how much she bled or sobbed out in her misery. She wouldn’t die. He made sure of it.
As long as that thing remained buried in her chest, this suffering would continue until he is ready to free her from it.

’’It’s funny how you thought using her could get me killed.’’
The heavens rumbled above their heads as Darkness confronted light. Ira stared at him with a reddened gaze as that pleased smirk remained plastered across his handsome features. He came still dressed gorgeously in his wedding dress to rob it in her face.
’’While you stay up here letting yourself be used, I am down there with the freedom to destroy every single thing they made through you.’’
Ira bit down hard on her lips as tears trickled down her face in pain at how far he has degenerated to being nothing but evil, and he has no idea of how self-destructing it was. He seemed to enjoy it, as he called it ’freedom’.
Her gazed widened in fear when he pulled out the bloodied god-slaying dagger. The roar of lightning and thunder above her head caused her to move back when he observed her with that crazed look, approaching her with predatory steps.
’’Not only did you cause me to fall and take my place as God and let yourself be their puppets... I told you once that you could do your worst and I won’t bat a single eye anymore. But convincing her it was appropriate to go against me is where I draw the line.’’
Ira mimicked his slow movements by pushing backwards and away from him. Was he going to kill her now after all these years of conflict? Because she was trying to do the right thing? Would she allow him to have his way with her and her creation so easily?
No.
Ira stood her ground, clasped both of her hands together to draw as much god-like energy from her as possible...drawing the red energy that sparked the more she stretched it out from her palms like rubber. Darkness watched her pitiful attempt to go to war with him in amusement. Ira’s eyes glowed in a battle-like ethereal form as she entered her god state. The crescent moon tattoo on her forehead activated as she was lifted a bit above the sea-glass floor. The summon of her energy brought a violent response from the heavens above them, and the surrounding tension darkened.
She moved the energy in precise movements before targeting it to him with a powerful crack. Darkness didn’t move a muscle from where he stood as her strike only hit the void surrounding him. Ira stared at him confused as not a single strand of his hair was untouched.
’’You see the difference between Gods and demons is that while Gods believe they are all powerful and there is nothing else to do to improve on, and it’s impossible to grow stronger than you are now because they have reached the ultimate state of perfection...demons are crazy enough to seek ways to make the world burn with just raising a single finger at it for the fun of it.’’
Dark insidious chains bound by magic materialized before him before wrapping itself to the master and with one slick move from him, he had Ira slapped so hard with the venomous ends of the chain until she fell so hard on the sea-glass floor enough for it to leave a huge crack.
The heavens rumbled loud enough in disapproval.
Ira threw up a heavy amount of blood, half of her face suffering a severe burn from being hit violently in the air by him. Her whole being trembled like she was in an epileptic state and the horror intensified when she heard the loud dragging sound of the chains on the floor as her assaulter neared him.
’’I have always wanted to do that to you,’’ Darkness bent over on his knees beside the trembling goddess staring at him in fear in her vulnerable state on the floor. ’’Ever since the day you blinded my eyes that it became so red it blended so perfectly with my blue ones and I lost my senses of the future and my connection to my god-like state.’’
He grabbed a fistful of her hair and forced her to look up at him. Scoffing at the crocodile tears of pain that overtook her scarred face and her cries for mercy.
’’You never once thought how painful it was to blind another god and have them lose all connection to their god state. And now it is wickedness if I should destroy your pretty face in return and stab you hard with this pretty knife you so generously gave my girl to attack me with.’’
’’Please...no... I’m sorry...but don’t...’’ Ira tried her best to get him to spare her from his wicked hold.
’’I remember begging harder than this when I was at your mercy. When you and the damned heavens conspired to take me down in the most brutal and shameful way possible because I saw no reason, giving life only for the sole purpose of enslaving them because of it. Giving life shouldn’t be a reason to have a bunch of brainless admirers fall at your feet each second out of fear and in disguise of free will. They can’t even freely choose who they want to spend the rest of their lives with because you gave them mates, and they are punished severely should they not pretend to be okay with it. Both you and the heavens are maniacs hiding under the umbrella of being good, just, and pure. At least I was honest with my intentions to your lovely brainless creations,’’ Darkness paused to give out a short laugh of amusement. ’’Can’t wait to see their faces when they realize that their righteous moon goddess was the reason they had a demon taking their children, burning their houses down and putting a dagger to their throat. If I weren’t so evil and mean, they wouldn’t see how hard you try to be the good God they should be bound to forever. Maybe the heavens enjoy watching us do this to each other and ourselves for their own little circus show. Who knows? But I’m glad I wasn’t the vessel they used for their own sick amusement,’’ he had her lay her back on the cold, sea glass floor with another haunting smirk.
’’Hmm. I came to return this to where it came from.’’
Ira shook with a gasp when he took his time to drill the sharp and poisonous blades of the god-slaying dagger deep between her chest. Blood pooling out of it like a busted piper and pushing out of her lips as she laid still to process the pain she was overwhelmed with.
’’I don’t want this ever coming between me and her again. Thanks for ruining the wedding, by the way. It gave me a solid reason to want to put an end to your existence for good.’’
He rose to his full height and left without sparing her from a last glance.
’Great Divines... I am dying...please...help.’
The view before her only grew darker with each passing second. It scared her so much. The thought of a powerful God like her dying. It shook her to the core, and she feared closing her eyes to nothing waiting for her to turn to.
’’Great Divines above! I call upon you!’’ Painful tears streamed down the corner of her face and nothing scared her the most being ignored by the same people she did all things unimaginable for to impress and be validated by them. The entities she lived for and did every single thing she was inspired by by them to do.
Her sobs echoed around her with the eerie silence.
’’...please...help...’’
It was already too late to start seeing exactly what Light saw. The heavens don’t really care. No one really did. Creation was just something they needed to lift their boredom, and she was the stupid clown and vessel that made it happen in hopes of one day being accepted by them.
The pain of that was the last thing she endured before she slept.
