Marvel: My Luck Is A Hundred Million Points Better!-Chapter 175 Chaos Lord - Eye Demon.
Chapter 175 - 175 Chaos Lord - Eye Demon.
After leaving the Kingdom of Death, Luo Bai used a portal to return directly to the villa.
Inside the villa—
Wanda, Quicksilver, and Polaris were sitting on the sofa, their expressions complicated, as if they had been deep in discussion.
The moment they saw Luo Bai, all three of them stood up at the same time.
Polaris was the first to speak. "Luo Bai, are you okay?"
There was a trace of nervousness in her tone, and her face was filled with concern.
Seeing her like this, Luo Bai smiled and reassured her, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
As soon as he finished speaking, Quicksilver couldn't help but ask, "What happened to the portal earlier? Who opened it?"
"It was Death—another Creator God," Luo Bai replied.
At the mention of "Creator God," the three of them visibly reacted, their faces filled with surprise.
"Another Creator God? How many are there in this universe?" Wanda asked, frowning slightly.
Luo Bai chuckled. "There are five in total—Galactus, Death, Infinity, Annihilation, and Eternity."
"Why did Death come to you? Does she also want to invade Earth?"
"Not at all. She came to ask me to follow her."
"Follow her?"
Wanda frowned, not quite understanding what he meant.
Luo Bai smiled. "You could say she has no ill intentions toward Earth. In fact, she even helped us."
"Is a Creator God really that easy to talk to?" Polaris couldn't help but ask.
Ever since their encounter with Galactus, the term "Creator God" had taken on a fearsome meaning for them. Polaris had assumed that all of them were supreme beings, detached and impossible to reason with.
Now, hearing that Death not only didn't pose a threat but had actually helped them, she couldn't hide her curiosity.
"She's not exactly easy to talk to," Luo Bai admitted. "But compared to the others, she's the most approachable. After all... this particular Creator God is love-brained."
Although Polaris and the others didn't fully understand the term "love-brained," they did understand the word "love."
The moment they heard that a Creator God was in love, even Polaris was stunned.
"A Creator God... in love?" Polaris repeated, looking genuinely surprised.
It was clear she couldn't wrap her head around the idea.
To be fair, Luo Bai also found it unbelievable.
After all, Death was a conceptual deity—an abstract entity embodying the very essence of mortality.
Yet in the original timeline, not only did she possess human emotions, but she also fell in love with Deadpool??
Luo Bai still found that ridiculously absurd.
Then again... each of the five great Creator Gods had their own "quirks."
Galactus was constantly getting beaten up because he was always hungry.
So, when he thought about it that way, Death being in love wasn't that shocking.
Luo Bai couldn't help but laugh and say, "Even though they're Creator Gods, they aren't exactly what you'd imagine.
Among them, Eternity is probably the closest to what humans would consider a true deity.
What I mean is, compared to the others, he's at least a little more normal."
"Okay..." Polaris muttered.
Judging by her expression, she still couldn't quite grasp why these so-called gods were so... human-like.
But she didn't dwell on it. Instead, she changed the topic.
"I'm just glad you're okay. Oh, by the way, Luo Bai! After you left, I seriously studied the magic you taught me... and now I've made some real progress!"
Polaris' excitement was obvious.
To prove her words, she immediately demonstrated her new abilities.
She muttered an incantation, moving her hands in a series of gestures.
A moment later, streaks of blue cosmic energy swirled around her before being absorbed into her body.
After finishing the process, Polaris grinned excitedly. "Look, Luo Bai! I've learned how to absorb cosmic energy!"
Luo Bai remembered that before he left, both Quicksilver and Polaris had been unable to absorb cosmic energy.
It had been around 3 or 4 days in Earth's time since he went to the Kingdom of Death.
For Polaris to have mastered it in such a short period... that proved she had quite a talent for magic.
Seeing her so proud of herself, Luo Bai smiled. "Not bad. Pretty impressive."
Hearing his praise, Polaris beamed with joy.
"Of course! With you as my teacher, how could I not be amazing?!" she said proudly. free𝑤ebnovel.com
Before Luo Bai could respond, Quicksilver groaned in frustration.
"I seriously don't get it... Why does she learn so fast, while I never seem to get it?"
Before Luo Bai could say anything, Polaris immediately chimed in.
"If you're struggling, just practice more! This is basic magic—how can you still not get it?"
Quicksilver: "???????"
He looked completely unconvinced but could only grumble in frustration.
"Lorna, you and Luo Bai are seriously becoming more and more alike. Even the way you talk is the same! If you like him so much, you don't have to copy him this blatantly."
Polaris froze. Then her face darkened.
"What nonsense are you talking about?! I don't like him!" she retorted immediately.
"Oh, please. I heard everything you said when you were talking to Wanda earlier," Quicksilver said with a smug grin.
The moment he said that, Polaris' expression turned even darker.
A powerful energy suddenly erupted from her body.
Quicksilver, clearly not expecting such a violent reaction, was sent flying before he even had a chance to react.
Luckily, he only crashed onto the sofa, so he wasn't seriously hurt.
However, Polaris showed no signs of stopping.
She immediately prepared to manipulate the magnetic field for another attack.
Quicksilver, now panicking, quickly called out, "I was just joking! You don't have to take it so seriously!!"
He thought his words would calm her down.
He was wrong.
Polaris showed no intention of stopping.
Fortunately, before things escalated further, Luo Bai spoke up.
"Forget it, Polaris."
The moment she heard Luo Bai's voice, Polaris finally stopped.
She lowered her head and said to Luo Bai in frustration, "Sorcerer Supreme, don't listen to his nonsense. I didn't mean that..."
Polaris seemed hesitant to tell Luo Bai that she liked him.
It was unclear whether she lacked confidence in herself or in Luo Bai.
Perhaps she thought Luo Bai would reject her, making their future interactions awkward.
But Luo Bai wasn't a fool—he knew what Polaris was thinking.
Since Quicksilver had already put her on the spot, avoiding a response would probably embarrass her even more.
Thinking of this, Luo Bai spoke frankly, "Actually, I like you too, Lorna.
I've always known about your feelings, but for now, I don't have much time to be with you.
The Celestials will be arriving on Earth soon, and I may have to go on a long journey.
After dealing with them, I'll make time for you."
Polaris: "???"
She didn't say anything, but her widened eyes made it clear how shocked she was.
She hadn't expected Luo Bai to admit that he liked her, and disbelief still lingered on her face.
"Did I hear that right...? You actually like me?" Polaris asked in astonishment.
Luo Bai sighed, feeling helpless at her reaction.
"Why is it so surprising that I like you? We've been together for a long time. It's only natural that we developed feelings for each other," Luo Bai said with a hint of exasperation.
The first person Luo Bai met after arriving in this world was Polaris.
They had been living together for quite some time.
Although nothing had happened between them in that way, he had to admit that Polaris treated him well.
Besides, she was beautiful, and he was a normal man—there was nothing unusual about him liking her.
"No... I mean, I was just surprised... I never expected you to like me. I thought you saw me as not good enough..." Polaris muttered softly.
Hearing that, Luo Bai was briefly stunned before he couldn't help but laugh.
"You still remember that..." he muttered.
"I..." Polaris scratched her head awkwardly, realizing that discussing this in front of so many people might not be a good idea. Quickly, she changed the subject.
"By the way, Luo Bai, you just mentioned going on a long trip... Where exactly are you going?" she asked.
"I'm planning to travel across the multiverse to collect fragments of the Phoenix Force. Once I become the White Phoenix King, dealing with the Celestials won't be as much of a problem," Luo Bai answered plainly.
Wanda looked a little surprised.
"The Celestials are that troublesome? You seem to be taking them more seriously than you did Galactus," she commented.
Luo Bai sighed.
"It can't be helped. The Celestials are far more difficult to deal with than Galactus.
When Galactus is starving, anyone can land a punch on him. But the Celestials? They're on a whole different level. Fighting them is a real headache," Luo Bai explained.
"When are you leaving?" Polaris asked.
"If nothing unexpected happens, I plan to leave today," Luo Bai replied.
The moment he finished speaking, a portal suddenly appeared in front of him.
Before he could react, Wong and Doctor Strange stepped through.
Seeing the two of them, Luo Bai was a little surprised.
"What are you two doing here?" he asked.
"Sorcerer Supreme, Earth is in trouble," Wong said urgently.
"Mordo has fallen under the control of the demon Mephista, and now he's helping her invade Earth!"
At Wong's reminder, Luo Bai finally remembered.
Baron Mordo... He was always destined to be a villain.
