Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 174: Back To The Westview Again!
Chapter 174 - 174: Back To The Westview Again!
In the early morning of the next day, the pale light of dawn slowly crept across the sky, and the reflected sunlight spread like cascading petals, bringing the entire town of Westview into clear view. It looked just like a painting—serene and picturesque.
There was no noise, no chaos. Only a quiet and peaceful calm.
"It feels so good to be back in Westview."
Finn slowly got up from bed, walked out to the balcony, and gently pulled the curtains aside. Instantly, the morning sunlight streamed in, warm and inviting.
"However, the matter of Mephisto still needs to be dealt with. He has already crossed through the multiverse and arrived here."
Finn muttered to himself, his voice low and gravelly.
Mephisto alone wasn't too formidable, but if he allied with others, the threat would be significantly amplified. Dealing with him solo would be difficult.
"Finn, why are you already up? I'll make you breakfast," came Wanda's voice from behind, sleepy and soft, clearly not fully awake yet.
"Let me handle it—you can sleep a bit more," Finn replied with a smile before heading into the kitchen.
Soon, the scent of food filled the entire room, a rich aroma that spread quickly, as if it were laced with some magical allure.
Not only Wanda, but even the Dark Witch, who had been fast asleep, was roused by the smell and made her way to the kitchen.
"What are you doing out here?" Wanda asked, frowning slightly when she noticed the Dark Witch. She couldn't help but question her sudden appearance.
Was breakfast really that enticing today?
"Can't I just come out to get some air?" the Dark Witch shot back with a side glance, clearly not in the mood for small talk. Her eyes went straight to the kitchen.
Inside, Finn was fully focused on making breakfast, moving with practiced care. He looked like someone genuinely devoted to nurturing the people around him.
The scene was sweet. Warm. Domestic.
"Who even knows you?" Wanda muttered dismissively but didn't press further.
Finn soon finished cooking and set the food out on the table. The trays were filled with a variety of dishes, and the enticing smell lingered like a charm spell.
"Stop bickering and come eat. I made a few extra eggs today. They should be really good," Finn said, handing them out evenly.
After all, eggs were rich in protein and valuable to the human body, especially when prepared with such care.
"These eggs look weird," the Dark Witch muttered, frowning with suspicion.
Before Finn could respond, Wanda chimed in, "An egg is an egg. What's so weird about it?"
She reached out and grabbed two eggs, about to eat them—only to be blindsided by the Dark Witch's next comment.
"How do you think these two eggs compare to Finn's?"
The casual innuendo caught Wanda off guard, and her face flushed with frustration. "Why do I feel like you can't go a single meal without making those kinds of comments?!"
And seriously, how could these eggs be compared to... Finn?
Wait...
No, no, why did I get pulled into this too?!
It's all this damn woman's fault!
"Say one more thing and you're not eating!" Wanda snapped, grabbing the eggs off the table in a fury.
The Dark Witch only smiled wickedly and shrugged, completely unbothered. "Eat all you want. I won't fight you for them."
Clearly, she thought herself the victor.
"Hmph," Wanda snorted, ignoring her, and focused on her food.
Finn chuckled at the back-and-forth, then picked up a piece of meat with his chopsticks and took a bite.
"Finn, your cooking is incredible. It's like art," Wanda said, stunned as the flavors exploded in her mouth.
She was genuinely at a loss for words.
It was just that delicious.
Even top chefs at Michelin-starred restaurants probably couldn't replicate the flavor.
"As long as you like it," Finn replied with a faint smile.
He could feel the bond between the three of them growing. Not romantic, but familial. Comfortable.
"As expected of Finn!" Wanda added, patting her belly contentedly after finishing her breakfast.
The feeling of home was something she hadn't felt in a long time.
"What are you thinking about? You zoned out while eating," the Dark Witch asked suddenly, leaning close to Finn's ear and whispering with teasing breath, the scent of her perfume lingering.
"Nothing," Finn answered, shaking his head.
"How about we go for a walk after this?" the Dark Witch suggested, still smiling.
"After all, we should relax a bit while we're back."
She gazed out the window as she spoke, the tone of her voice softening.
Finn paused. "Go out?"
"Yeah, the scenery outside is really nice," she said, then added, "and the weather's not too bad today either."
Finn lifted his gaze and looked outside.
She was right. The weather was perfect.
"Finn, what's wrong?" Wanda asked, noticing the slight change in his expression.
"Oh, nothing," Finn said quickly, brushing it off.
He forced himself to set aside thoughts of Mephisto and focus on the moment. ƒreewebɳovel.com
Looking at the Dark Witch, he asked, "Then let's go out together. Where do you want to go?"
"I vote for the amusement park. We didn't get to play enough last time," Wanda chimed in excitedly.
"I'm in," the Dark Witch nodded in agreement. She clearly had no objection to the idea.
After a quick cleanup and putting everything in order, the three of them set off. The amusement park wasn't far from Westview, and they arrived quickly.
Once they reached the entrance, they bought their tickets and eagerly made their way inside.
Opportunities like this were rare. In a few months, a mysterious force was set to arrive—one they might not have the luxury to ignore. Time would become a valuable resource.
"You two go enjoy yourselves. I'll just watch. I'm not really into rides," Finn said, patting Wanda gently on the head.
She immediately grabbed the Dark Witch's hand and pulled her along like a little sister leading the way.
Finn found a quiet spot nearby and sat down.
Originally, he'd planned to spend the next few days in Westview helping the witches practice the Darkhold—the ancient book of chaos magic—and more importantly, he needed to finally master the art of creation magic.
But now, with the looming threat of Mephisto still fresh in his mind, he realized time was pressing faster than expected.
Yet, for now, he let them play.
He could allow them this brief moment of joy before everything changed.
