Marvel : I'm in Westview Town-Chapter 161 : Trip To New York
Chapter 161 - 161 : Trip To New York
At the moment.
When Finn and the others reappeared, they found themselves back at Kamar-Taj.
Many sorcerers stood in the square, all studying magic with intense focus, under Wong's supervision. There was no sign of slackness anywhere.
After slowly descending, Wong immediately approached the group and asked, "Finn, how is the situation over there?"
"It's like this..."
Finn explained the general situation.
After hearing it, Wong's eyes widened in shock. He never expected the land to be part of the divine realm, and it brought back memories of his encounters with Asgard.
Another alien invasion, though the form was different.
Upon thinking it over, it made sense. After all, the Angelic race wielded tremendous magical power.
Even for someone like him, it was shocking—because, truthfully, no one could resist the lure of great magical power.
The attraction brought by such power was enormous.
"Thor should know something about this, right?" Wong turned his gaze to Thor, who stood behind them, looking for a more definitive answer.
Thor pondered for a moment before speaking slowly. "Actually, I'm not particularly clear on the matter. But I find it strange regarding the Gods... By all reasoning, Gods should possess overwhelming strength. The demon clan's attack should have been met with overwhelming force, not mere defense..."
Thinking of it, Thor looked slightly embarrassed, clearly struggling to explain something so counterintuitive.
As a God himself, he could somewhat understand—but even he was baffled by the events.
"Forget it. These issues aren't what we need to be focusing on right now."
Finn shook his head. His main concern wasn't the divine realm but rather the mysterious enemy he would face in a few months. That was far more important.
Besides, their venture into the divine realm was only a matter of convenience.
If the energy released there truly posed a threat to the main universe, Stephen Strange and the others would never have allowed them to head there so casually.
"In that case, let's conclude this matter for now," Stephen, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke. He then turned his gaze toward Wong.
"Train them in magic as quickly as possible. It's crucial. Finn has already done a lot for Kamar-Taj."
This was indeed understandable. Even without mentioning the subsequent events, Finn had earned a lot of credit during the chaos in the multiverse.
Stephen was well aware of that.
"I understand. Don't worry. While you were away, I led everyone in studying more profound magic. I believe it won't be long before they master it," Wong responded earnestly.
"Good. Then let's all focus on our studies for now."
Finn glanced at the time—without wasting any more—he addressed everyone. "It's getting late. We should head out."
It had already been five days since they had left. After all, the system's limit was seven days. If they exceeded that, the mission would fail.
"Okay. Then it's time for me to return to Asgard," Thor said, voicing his intention. There were surely matters awaiting him back home.
Stephen had no objections. Brief separations were normal.
After a simple farewell, they parted ways.
Thor returned to Asgard.
Meanwhile, Finn and the others didn't go back to Westview—instead, they headed for New York City.
There were still two days left. They didn't want to waste this time. After all, opportunities to explore outside were rare. Plus, Finn still had two witches accompanying him.
"Where do we go next?"
The Dark Witch—Wanda —glanced around. Today, New York seemed quieter than usual. Perhaps it was a matter of timing, or maybe other reasons.
Wanda Maximoff didn't speak. She simply looked at Finn with curious eyes.
"Let's go to the Convention Center and see what fun we can find."
In truth, Finn had long wanted to visit the Convention Center. It wasn't just an exhibition of Chinese, American, and global cultural heritage; it represented a living history.
"Okay! Then let's go!"
Upon hearing this, Wanda immediately nodded—her excitement was clear. As long as Finn wanted to go somewhere, she was eager to accompany him.
Of course, the real reason was simply being close to Finn. That was the true joy for her.
"What are you in such a hurry for?" Wanda couldn't help but tease her.
"It's none of your business. Let's go!"
Without hesitation, Wanda grabbed Finn's hand, clinging to him like a magnet.
Seeing this, Wanda wasn't about to back down. She grabbed Finn's other arm in retaliation, unwilling to yield even an inch.
"Let go of me!"
Though she said that, Wanda didn't push Wanda away. She had, in some ways, accepted the other witch's presence, even if she didn't want to admit it.
"Nope."
Wanda leaned her head against Finn's shoulder, clearly enjoying the moment.
Meanwhile, Finn—sandwiched between the two witches—felt incredibly awkward. Having two powerful witches fighting over him was overwhelming, to say the least.
...
After much pulling and tugging, the three finally arrived at the Convention Center.
From the outside, it was bustling with people. But compared to the chaos they'd seen at the history museum before, it was slightly more manageable. At least there was no major congestion.
The European-style building was adorned with various decorations: giant Chinese dragon scrolls, sculpted hands of Greek gods, and other artifacts from across different cultures.
The entire exterior perimeter was packed with these artistic marvels.
Naturally, the crowd loved it. Many were snapping pictures, filling the air with the click and buzz of cameras.
However, the staff had anticipated this. A dozen security guards quickly stepped in to manage the situation and ensure the event could proceed smoothly.
If crowd control failed, they would bear the responsibility.
After a few minutes, order was restored. A clear pathway was created in the middle of the crowd.
Seeing the path open, Finn walked in, pulling the two witches with him.
He couldn't help but smile wryly to himself but chose not to say anything.
The three of them had already bought tickets in advance.
After ticket check-in, they entered the Convention Center.
The interior was vast—the ceiling resembled a starry sky, filled with twinkling stars. It was breathtaking, almost magical.
Finn didn't react much—he had seen many wonders before.
But the two witches beside him—Wanda and Wanda—gasped in amazement. Their eyes lit up with endless curiosity.
The entire exhibition hall was a dazzling spectacle, merging modern technology with ancient mythologies. Holographic projections of ancient artifacts floated alongside displays of real relics, creating a dreamlike landscape.
Finn led the way, feeling their excitement buzzing beside him, and despite himself, he smiled.
This simple moment of exploration, of peace, was a rare gift after all the chaos they had endured.
