Third, regarding this book, my original intention was to write a story about the development of a budding Martial Arts family, with the protagonist leading their growth. Because of that, I planned from the start for the plot to be slow-paced. I was just hoping to get a contract and earn the full-attendance bonus to help with rent. My expectations weren’t high. I never imagined it would achieve this level of success; it was a huge surprise. I imagine that when my amazing editor, Mr. Ju Zi, fished this book out of the pile, he was a little surprised too. This has led to many people saying the plot is too slow and nothing is happening. For that, I am truly and deeply sorry.

Fourth, this book has plenty of issues, and it’s been flamed a lot. Many readers have left comments pointing out problems, and I’ve fixed everything I could. However, some plot points can’t be altered. If I were to change them, I’d have to revise everything that follows, and the story would become a real mess.

As for those of you who claim I’m an AI, well, you give me too much credit. If I really had that kind of technology to make things easy, I’d probably be on some other site raking in easy money. So, I won’t bother explaining myself. I know full well that once someone has made up their mind to be suspicious, no explanation will ever be good enough.

So, I am also incredibly grateful for everyone’s constructive criticism and guidance. But as I said, this book has been full of surprises—especially the sheer volume of hate it’s received.

If you’re a reader who doesn’t enjoy this book, please just find another one that you do like. That’s how I read, too. If I like a book, I’ll keep reading. If I don’t, I’ll find one that I do.
