Chapter 46: Mafia style

The criminals involved in the kidnap had all been taken to jail as detainees awaiting trial, including the one injured and admitted to the hospital, after his quick recovery.

John as usual, went to the prison to see if the men were finally ready to open up but something strange had happened. The men all had one or multiple bruises as if they had been beaten up.

John questioned them but they were all as usual, silent, not speaking up on who truly hired them to do the job or who they were working for.

John was now interrogating Henry Cavill who seemed to have received most of the beatings.

"So you don’t want to speak up? You are really ready to go to jail without bringing down with you, who ever you work for or who ever hired you?" John questioned. Henry scoffed and stared at John.

"I ain’t no snitch," he said.

John sighed; "Look, is your life been threatened? I can tell it is from all the bruises you obtained overnight. Who beat you up? Was it the wardens? Tell me.

"Confess who ever hired you or who ever you are working with, I promise you protection and a shorter jail term." John pressured him.

"I’m not interested," Henry replied.

"I know you still work for Gabriel Yul," John revealed.

Henry continued to stare at him with a smug expression.

"Used to work. I don’t work for that man anymore," Henry said.

"Then who are you working for?! Is he or she the one who gave you the order? Or did you do it for a personal grudge against Ms. Reyes or Mr. Randell?" John thundered, feeling pissed by this man.

"I don’t have a personal grudge against any of them, I was hired to get the job done with my crew and just give up Mr. Detective because I ain’t telling you nothing," Henry responded calmly.

"Okay. When you used to work for Mr. Yul, was he involved in anything illegal? Did you do illegal activities for him?" John inquired.

"Nope, I was just an ordinary bodyguard that’s why I quit, I wanted something more exciting." Henry replied.

John nodded, "See you in court then. You will surely go to jail with your companions," John walked out of the interrogating room.

Silvia was infuriated when John told her that the criminals still held their ground on not speaking up.

’So this is how that scum Gabriel Yul is going to get away with what he did?!’ Silvia thought.

She knows he is responsible, she’s not going to let him get away. She will teach him a lesson even if the justice won’t, she will take laws into her hands and have justice to herself, her way.

...And that was how they ended up here.

"S-Silvia?" Gabriel said in shock.

"Surprised?" she grinned at him like a she-devil.

"What the hell Silvia? You had your men kidnap me, for what huh? You better let me go or you’ll regret-"

Silvia kicked the words out of his mouth, the piercing tip of her heels leaving a long line on his face as it bled, he turned to face her, his lips also bleeding from the kick. Her men continued to hold him down.

"You will regret this Silvia. You better let me go before people realize I’m missing," he continued.

"I know you are responsible for what happened to Davian. Don’t even dare pretend in front of me or I’m going to increase what I have in stored for you," her eyes glared down at him.

"Okay, I admit it. I did it! I regret not killing him," he finally admitted it to her.

"You are going to confess to the police, admit to your crimes to them," she said.

"What?" he responded and began to laugh.

"You know the kind of scandal that would do to my family’s name?" he asked.

"You should have thought of that before you decided to kidnap Davian!" she yelled angrily.

"I would prefer you just kill me than for me to go to jail." He stated seriously. He would rather she killed him than for him to end up in jail.

Silence reigned for some while. Then Silvia held him by his hair.

"You are very cunny and clever. You know I can’t do that, one because I would be the main suspect in your death and two, I’m not a killer unlike you.

"You have successfully escaped the law but not my wrath. I’m going to make you regret ever crossing paths with me." she broke the silence.

Her eyes landed on her men who were four in number and that one look was enough for them to carry out her order.

They began to beat him up mercilessly and she wasn’t going to tell them to stop until he received ten times the kind of beatings he gave to Davian. She wanted him to know how it feels to suffer from internal bleedings.

Her men continued to beat him up and she didn’t tell them to stop even though the beatings he had already received were more than what he did to Davian.

He finally passed out, drenched in his own blood.

...

Gabriel’s eyes shut open at once, when he felt himself being choked. His hand went to his neck. A rope was tied around his neck and he was being lifted up with the aid of a pulley lift.

His eyes landed on Silvia and her men, she stared up at him with an emotionless expression.

"Silvia? S-Silvia? Please...let me down," he struggled as the rope squeezed the life out of him.

"Silvia..." he trails off, his face already turning red as he swayed in the air.

’I thought she said she wasn’t going to kill me,’ he thought.

"Silvia, please. I beg you, have mercy," he began to spew out blood due to the beatings he had received earlier.

"Show you mercy? Did you show Davian any mercy?!" she fumed.

"I’m sorry. I’ll apologize to him," he begged.

"Your apology isn’t enough. Surrender to the police," she said.

"I...I can’t do that Silvia. It will ruin...it will..." he trails off again, he was beginning to see stars.

"Ruin? Ruin what? Oh well, you are going to die I guess," Silvia announced. His eyes widened.

"I...thought...y-you said you weren’t going to...k-kill me...please...please," he pleaded, he had already begun to drift off to the afterlife.

Silvia couldn’t believe this was the same Gabriel Yul, begging her.

"I did say so but...there’s a thing called bloodlust," Silvia smiled, before she turned to face her men.

"Let him down." she ordered.

Then Gabriel was let down but he only landed in a cylindrical metal drum filled with water. He brought his head out and gasps for air, Silvia walked over to him and pushed him back inside.

He struggled to get out as he was already so weak and running out of breath, he was already drowning when Silvia brought him out and pointed a gun at his throat, which she had collected from one of her men.

"Now you listen, no one should find out that I did all these to you. Two, if you ever come near the people that matter to me or think of messing with their loved ones, I’ll make sure you regret ever doing so.

"And keep this name in mind, Davian Randell. If you ever think of hurting him again. I won’t hesitate to kill you even if it means I being sent to prison." she emphasized and let go of his head abruptly and nothing close to gently.

Davian had no idea that she was going to do this and she isn’t going to tell him, but maybe if he wasn’t still hospitalized, he would have loved to have his own share of making this man know how it feels like to be tortured.

After telling him about her kidnap that day he was really relieved that her family no longer had anything to do with the syndicates. He wouldn’t believe she was capable was torturing a person this mercilessly and ruthlessly, mafia style.

But it wasn’t enough to let this man pay for what he did, he even attempted to kill Davian again at the hospital- That man he hired would surely be charged for attempted murder, he too had refused to confess, she wonders what this man had on them.

She’s wasn’t yet satisfied but any further and this scum was going to die at her hands which she doesn’t want.

"I promise. I won’t go near you or anyone else associated with you, I-I promise." Gabriel said.

"Good. You better," she replied and hit the back of his head with her gun making him to pass out again.

She started to walk away after giving the gun to one of her men.

"Get rid of him. Make sure he gets home ’safely’," she put every ounce of sarcasm in that last word.

...
