Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 194: No more secrets?
"I..." Cyrus sighed deeply and lowered his head, averting his gaze. "I know, and I will do anything to keep you safe." he growled low at the end of his words and Sage just melted.
She hugged him, burying her face in his chest, putting herself in a comfortable position for the nine-tailed fox in her arms while gently patting Cyrus’ back in the manner of a mother soothing her child. Her lips were pursed in a soft smile. As soon as he returned the hug, her heart began to beat more quickly because she could feel his worry and fear of loosing her, and she felt the same for him. Even though there were many loose ends in their relationship, it was still moving forward because they were the only ones who could create a solid foundation for themselves.
She called, "Cyrus," and clutched his coat.
"Hmm?"
"Do not think much, I just want you to know that I am always here for you."
"I know,"
"If you know, do not hide anything from me."
"Sage," He called calmly and Sage shivered at the smooth way her name rolled off his tongue.
They released the hug, but Cyrus continued to avoid her gaze. Sage laughed as he noticed him being nervous.
She cocked her head to the side and caught her lips between her teeth as she gazed lovingly at him.
"I apologize..." She felt her cheeks burn as he unexpectedly whispered and planted a kiss on her forehead.
As he continued to avoid her eyes, Sage took a tiny step away from him and continued to amuse herself by staring at him. "Why do you apologize?" She had to inquire. She could tell he was feeling guilty because of the adorable way he was acting.
"Uhh.. For being such a brute," He replied and then turned to face her, his blue slit glistening with regret and his face so contrite. "I am your husband, and I should act like it. I see why you adore my normal state.. it is because he is the ideal husband.. but honestly.. I am sorry.." He stumbled and raised an eyebrow when he noticed Sage looking incredibly amused, almost as though she were about to start laughing. "What is so funny?"
Sage started laughing uncontrollably and lifted her hand to caress his face as she could no longer contain herself. "Because you look so adorable.. your face is all red.. oh my." She replied, softly chuckling.
Cyrus’ lips parted slightly as he watched her laugh. As his gaze widened through the dark strands of his hair, he caught her wrist and kissed her fingers. "Are you saying you like me more?" With seriousness, he inquired. He was desperate to know, and he was certain she could sense his envy for his normal state rising.
Sage stopped laughing and fixed his gaze on him. He was envious of his normal state. Her breath was taken away by his intense gaze.
She gave him a contented smile that made him temporarily lost and flustered. "You are not a brute, Cyrus." She uttered a calming whisper. To Sage, nothing could change the fact that no matter the different personalities of his states, they were still Cyrus to her. Her loving husband Cyrus Dragos. The fact that Cyrus was actually envious of himself made her laugh nonstop.
Cyrus moaned inwardly, "You have got to be kidding me, Sage," and Sage laughed. "But, it is absurd to be envious of him when I am the perfect match for you, my love." While maintaining eye contact with those glistening emerald eyes, Cyrus whispered to her and caressed her lower lip slowly and sensuously.
"Cyrus," She mumbled while rolling her eyes.
"Okay, Alright, I know I am acting foolishly." Sage grinned brightly and Cyrus became noticeably happier as he spoke.
"There will not be any more secrets, right?" Her hope-filled, glimmering eyes widened as she questioned.
"No more secrets." Cyrus sighed and said, "I will try." And Sage smiled brightly.
"A deal has been made; if it is broken, you will be punished, Cyrus Dragos." Cyrus laughed when she abruptly said in a foreboding, intimidating tone.
"Yes, Sage Dragos," he murmured, pressing his lips against hers. He had been wanting to do that.
She quickly parted her lips after he slowly sucked her lower lip, allowing his tongue to enter her mouth. Her tongue felt hot, while his felt cold. Nothing but unending warmth that permeated their bodies was brought about as their tongues intertwined and wrapped each other.
Sage gasped as her back touched the wall, and Cyrus intensified the kiss, leaving her gasping for air. She gave back the same unadulterated passion that had sparked a fire in her soul, and the kiss turned into hunger.
When Cyrus realized that the nine-tailed fox in her arms was blocking their current intimate moment, he let out a low growl. He knew that Sage wouldn’t drop him if he told her to do so because he was asleep and ill. Cyrus’ eyes shot open as he connected with the fox and saw that he wasn’t even asleep!
’Cunning fool!’ In his head, Cyrus screamed at the fox.
Sage couldn’t hear him because he was thinking about her, but when Cyrus yelled at the fox in that way, Snowflake’s eyes lazily fluttered open. He was relishing the warmth of Sage’s arms, but Cyrus wanted to ruin the moment.
He managed to free himself from Sage’s grasp, leaped off her arms, and walked away looking irritated.
Sage broke off Cyrus’ kiss when she noticed the nine-tailed fox’s sudden movement and turned to look in the fox’s direction.
Sage muttered, "I think I held him too tightly. She actually believed that she had awakened him.
Sighing, he made her to look at him while holding her chin. As she noticed Cyrus’ unending desire for her, her emerald eyes twinkled and she smiled.
He leaned in close and pressed his lips on hers. His eyes gleamed gorgeously at her, and he whispered, "Focus on me, my love," against her lips.
