Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 136: Unlocked water spirit
When she noticed Sageβs puzzled expression, Katherine relaxed her shoulders and began hyperventilating. ππππ¦ππππππ·ππ.πΈπ°π
"I do not understand anything and..." She paused, wrapping her arms around her body. "Why do I feel cold?"
Sage stared at her friend for a moment, her eyes widening as she realized what was going on.
"Katherine!" She almost screamed but caught Katherineβs attention.
"Yes?" Katherine asked slowly, attempting to control her breathing.
"What happened to you yesterday?" Sage asks slowly.
"I... I went into the city with Princess Ophelia." Katherine paused, stunned. "Why are your eyes so wide? Is it true that I am in Antica?" Sage slowly nodded as she asked.
"Katherine, you have lost your memories of your encounter with the statkus mages and what happened after that." Sage gradually revealed himself.
"What?" Katherine was perplexed. "Have I forgotten something?"
"Go look in the mirror." Mirabella told the perplexed water mage, who looked in the direction of the mirror.
Katherine almost passed out when she saw her reflection. "My eyes!" she screamed.
"Your water spirit has been completely unlocked... Was it ever locked?" Sage inquired, perplexed.
While fire mages had their fire core, water mages had their water spirit. Sage was surprised Katherine could control her element after all these years without her water spirit. It was shocking and impossible yet Katherine had been doing it.
Sage was impressed because she had been defeating dragons with only half her power.
"I... I have no idea, but I have my motherβs eyes." Katherine smiled as she spoke.
Sage sighed deeply, walked over to her, and rested her hand on Katherineβs shoulder. "Kat?" Sage called out worriedly, and Katherine focused her attention on her.
"Are you all right? I am relieved that the ice dragon didnβt kill you, because he took me away to the prince of Fireria. I was worried, but then I learned that Esteban wants to destroy Credia..." Katherine rumbled and looked stunned. "Credia!" Sageβs arm was grabbed as she exclaimed. "We can still make it and save our home." Sage jerked away as she drew her all the way to the door.
"Kat, stop!" Sage raised her voice.
Katherine trembled, came to a halt, and looked at Sage. "What are you doing?" She screamed helplessly.
"Didnβt you hear me? You have lost your memories! You escaped from Prince River and ran into the statkus mages who hypnotized you to kill me!" Sage exclaimed.
"What? Sta... statkus mages? Who are those?" Katherine inquired, perplexed.
Sage let out a long frustrated sigh, walked over to Katherine, and placed her hand on Katherineβs head. "I cannot do this; my spell wasnβt proper, and I ended up wiping your memories; only Cyrus can restore them." Sage muttered.
"Cyrus? As in the ice dragon? The way you pronounce his name with less hatred." Sage smiled faintly and dropped her arm as Katherine paused her words, gasping in realization. "Are you madly in love with him or something?! How is this possible?" She exclaimed, stunned.
Sageβs eyes welled up with tears as she stared at the stunned Katherine. She couldnβt help herself and burst into tears before fleeing the room, leaving Katherine perplexed.
Mirabella sighed and turned her gaze to the water mage. "There is a lot of drama." Katherine was staring at her.
"Please explain what is going on." Katherine informed her.
"Does that constitute a command?" Mirabella scoffed in shock.
"No." Katherine sighed thoughtfully.
"The statkus mages are beings that resemble living corpses and were responsible for the deaths of all of the elder mages. I am guessing your mother is a mage who was very young during the destruction." Mirabella revealed a little in a boring and uninteresting manner.
Katherineβs jaw dropped, unsure whether she wanted to believe or not.
"Sage!" She called out and ran out to see her leaning against the wall.
Katherine moved slowly towards Sage, who sniffed and wiped her tears. "So much has happened..." Sage eventually told Katherine everything that had happened.
Cyrus married her because of her fire core, his dark state, Crediaβs destruction, the sea of blood, the statkus mages, Lianaβs secret and demise, Julius and Dexterβs demise, and Darrenβs revelation of being a half statkus mage, half water mage..
"...I am actually from Anitca because my father was a Lord of Ellisum, and I have a brother, who is a dragon." Sage finished with a nervous giggle, and Katherine went completely still.
Telling Katherine everything, Sage realized that those being she had hated all her life, were actually her family.
"I have really missed out on a lot, and wow! Lianna? A Statkus mage? Julius is not your biological father? Darren halfling?!" Katherine was terrified because she couldnβt take the news.
Sage sighed deeply.
"Wait! What about the mages... you said there was no sign of them in Credia, which means mother is still alive!" Katherine exclaimed enthusiastically as she searched for hope.
"About that... I believe you are the one keeping them safe, but we can tell now that you have lost your memories." Sage said slowly.
"How frustrating." Katherine groaned, scratched her neck, and then gasped. "Prince River is here?!" She exclaimed.
Sage was perplexed.
"Who is he to you?" She felt compelled to inquire.
"Mas.." Katherine paused, sighing in frustration. "He tells me to address him as master, and he refers to me as his pet... There is nothing happening between us." She added that she was trying to avoid Sageβs gaze.
Sage noticed that something was going on between Katherine and River before she decided to flee from him in order to save her kingdom.
They were so close and in love, and Sage was afraid Katherineβs current condition would change everything.
"Kat.."
"Enough with the sob story! We must proceed to the battleground!" Mirabella exclaimed angrily.
"Battleground?" Katherine inquired, perplexed.
"We have to go. You require rest." Sage expressed her concern.
"No, I am coming with you." Katherine declined.
"It is the statkus mages, Katherine." Sage tried to persuade her not to engage.
"Touching!" Mirabella scoffed and walked down the corridor, past them.
Sage groaned in frustration as Katherine followed.
She returned to her and Cyrusβ room first to check on the nine-tailed fox, but he wasnβt on the bed.
"Snow?" She called and went to the fire place, but there was no sign of him.
She sighed as she gave up and ran out of the room, closing the door behind her.
A familiar being sighed deeply in the room, and a harsh wind blew into the room, extinguishing the fire in the fireplace.
