Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 131: Draco?
"A small army is capable of defeating those repulsive creatures." Ashton said and shrugged slightly.
"I can not believe I am here to help defeat the Statkus mages." River groaned.
"Defeating them will grant Anitca and, especially, the queen’s protection." Samuel smiled.
"And I am extremely honored to fight alongside you all once more." Arthur said with a bright smile and a low groan.
"I will bring victory!" Victor declared proudly.
Cyrus hummed, his face expressionless.
They were in the main hall, strategizing how to attack the statkus mages. Cyrus was completely unbothered, and no one was surprised. Cyrus was never afraid of war or spilling blood, but that didn’t mean he was overconfident.
He knew how powerful the statkus mages were, and he knew they’d be up against a formidable elder.
He looked at Ashton, who was already staring at him.
"I do not support Cyrus’ participation in this war!" River made an unexpected announcement.
Cyrus rolled his eyes as Ashton burst out laughing. "I am opposed to both." With a sudden stern, he said, and everyone’s attention was drawn to Cyrus.
"Can you explain why?" Cyrus inquired, his gaze fixed on River.
"You are fully aware." River snarled.
"No, I am not." Cyrus tsked and rolled his eyes again.
"I hate Draco!" River screamed.
"What is Draco’s connection to this?" General Samuel inquired, perplexed. "And who exactly is Draco?"
Ashton burst out laughing again, almost falling off his chair, and River scoffing kicked the chair, sending Ashton to the ground with the chair, but that didn’t stop the demon from laughing his heart out.
General Samuel laughed nervously, feeling stupid. "Please accept my apologies."
"There is no reason." Arthur burst out laughing. "Draco is what prince River refers to as his majesty’s dark state." General Samuel nodded as he revealed.
"Since they were children!" Ashton coughed, stood up, stood his chair, and sat down again.
"What is Draco’s role in this?" Cyrus stared at River.
"He is a lunatic! He is not different than that Alpha heir of Celestia you despise, and yes, he wants to kill his wife, and it will be even worse if you die in the battle." River said this dramatically while crossing his arms across his chest.
"What a rash child." Cyrus glared at Ashton as he scoffed.
"Child?" Cyrus titled his head to the side.
"Extremely rash." River laughed.
"And you!" River was yelled at by Ashton.
"His Majesty will not die," Victor stated emphatically.
"Unless he kills himself," Ashton observed Cyrus with suspicion.
"What the hell are you on about?" Cyrus made a hissing sound.
"We will see," Ashton grumbled.
Cyrus frowned deeply as he approached the main hall’s entrance and saw Stefan standing there.
"Eavesdropping?" With a chuckle, Ashton inquired.
"I intend to fight in this battle to protect my sister." Stefan stated firmly.
"No." Cyrus said with a deep growl, stood up, and walked out of the room, past him.
"He is on the verge of turning to Draco." River muttered.
"You will have to deal with him soon." River was teased and patted on the head by Ashton.
River yanked Ashton’s hand away from his head. "You are always attempting to open my wound." He growled at Ashton, who winked.
"That is what I do." Ashton said proudly, looking at Stefan, who was looking at him suspiciously.
Everyone in the main hall noticed Ashton’s wave to the Lord.
"Do not be concerned, Lord Stefan; you will fight." Ashton whispered in front of everyone and kissed the Lord.
Stefan’s eyes widened and he turned away as he walked out of the main hall.
River smiled amusedly at the happy-looking demon. "Interesting," he said quietly, nodding.
Meanwhile, in River and Katherine’s room, Katherine was sound asleep on the bed, tossing from side to side. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
She was having a nightmare in which she kept seeing Inkadon, one of the statkus mages elders, cackling in her ear, which sounded like a high pitched sound.
"You are going to kill her!" Katherine’s eyes widened with fear as Inkadon screamed.
Her eyes shot open as she trembled and gasped sitting herself on the bed. Blood oozed from her nose holes, causing her to groan in pain and wipe the blood from her nose.
"How come this keeps happening?" Katherine inquired, her voice tense.
At that moment, the door slammed shut, and she directed a full force of water at the person.
Cyrus extended his arm into the water, which instantly turned to ice and squeezed itself into an ice ball.
Katherine leapt from her bed, striking a fighting stance at the nonchalant ice dragon staring at the ice ball on his palm.
"What exactly are you doing here?" Katherine inquired angrily.
"This is my castle, and you should be aware that I am aware of what has occurred to you." Cyrus took a long step towards her and said nothing.
"What do you mean? Where is River? Keep your distance from me." Katherine had no idea why he was suddenly approaching her, and as much as she despised him, she was terrified of him.
Cyrus’ gaze was fixed on the blood dripping from her nose. He turned his head to the side and moved in front of her, while she remained motionless in a fighting stance.
"Why did you give the scroll to Sage, and where did you find it?" Cyrus questioned calmly.
"I discovered it." Katherine sighed and revealed herself.
"Where?"
"It is none of your concern, your Majesty, with the mages," Katherine growled at him, her brown eyes flashing with glowing sky blue.
"Actually, water mage, it is my concern; your dear friend is my wife." Cyrus maintained his calm demeanor as he spoke.
"A wife you want to kill." Katherine snarled.
Cyrus hummed, flicked her brow before she could react and watched her collapse backwards onto the bed, unconscious.
"Pitiful." Cyrus scoffed, his eyes flashed with their blue slit form, and he sat beside Katherine’s bed, his hand on her brow.
Dark green smoke began to evaporate from Katherine’s body, and whispers that sounded like spell chants could be heard.
Cyrus closed his eyes and raised his hand above her head as the dark green smoke sucked into his hand and vanished.
River walked in at that precise moment and frowned deeply. "Did you force her to pass out?" He asked angrily while walking towards the bed.
"She talks a lot." Cyrus hissed and stood up, his fist clenched.
"So?" River inquired, expecting a response from the ice dragon.
"She was kidnapped by one of the elders and brought to the portal, where she was hypnotized to give Sage the scroll of the wrath of the fire mage, but the act of hypnosis unlocked her water spirit." River’s eyes widened in surprise as Cyrus revealed, and Cyrus’ lips twitched.
