Married To The Dragon Prince Against My Will-Chapter 220: HE IS BACK
Lumina sat on the bed, fingers curled tightly into the sheets, her eyes unfocused as she turned her head toward every voice she heard. She cleared her throat as she tried to gain Adam attention.
After all he is the only one she recalls so she is going to get more information from him or so we thought.
Alexis watched her for a long moment, trying to read her expression, trying to understand how she knew Adam’s name but not Ashen’s. Nothing made sense. Not her voice, not her trembling hands, not the way she flinched anytime Adam stood too close.
Alexis finally exhaled and turned to Adam.
"Take care of her for now," he muttered. "I will speak with Lord Drex, we have no time to start wasting she needs her memories back quickly."
He didn’t wait for Adam’s response; he stepped out immediately, after he doesn’t have a good relationship with his brother.
The moment the door closed, Adam turned to Lumina and the smirk that rose on his lips was slow and full of victory.
"Well," he said, walking toward her, "it seems fate is finally on my side."
Lumina shifted away, gripping the edge of the blanket like a frightened child. "Adam... why do you sound like that? What’s happening?"
Adam softened his expression instantly. He crouched beside her bed, acting gentle, tender... careful.
"Don’t be scared," he whispered. "You’ve been through a lot. Your memory is... confused. But I’m here. I’ll take care of you." He reached out to touch her cheek
Lumina flinched back so sharply he froze, he squinted his gaze like he was trying to understand something.
"You... you.. why act that way?" he asked like he was begging to get suspicious of her, he leaned closer to her.
"I... I don’t like that," she whispered. "Please stop touching me."
Adam swallowed his irritation. "Of course. You’re frightened. I understand."
He stood up and clapped his hands. Two servants entered with trays.
Fresh rice. Stew. Warm tea. Fruit.
Adam took the tray himself, waving the servants away.
"Here," he said gently. "Eat something."
Lumina only shook her head. "I don’t want it..."
"Lumina," he said, forcing his voice to sound patient, "you need to eat."
"No," she insisted, shaking her head harder. "It smells strange. I don’t want it."
Adam’s jaw tightened.
"Eat."
Lumina’s lips trembled — and then she burst into tears.
"No! I don’t want it!" she cried loudly. "Take it away!"
Her hand pushed the tray, almost knocking it to the floor. Adam grabbed it before it fell, but fury sparked in his eyes.
He placed the tray aside and tried again.
"Lumina, stop behaving like a child. You need strength."
She only hugged her knees.
"I don’t want to see your face right now..." she whispered.
Adam froze.
Slowly exhaled.
Then he smiled again, patient... controlled... pretending.
"I understand," he said quietly.
He picked up a cloth and dipped it into warm water, then sat beside her.
"At least let me clean you."
Lumina jerked away instantly.
"No! Don’t touch me!"
"Lumina," he hissed softly, "you’re filthy, trembling, and barely steady. Let me help you."
"I said no!" she cried louder, tears flooding her cheeks. "Stop trying to touch me!"
Adam’s patience cracked. His fingers twitched as if he wanted to grab her but he forced himself to breathe.
.
He had time he thought to himself he can’t make her get mad, for now he needed to get that so call bead of soul from her.
He could manipulate her slowly.
He leaned closer anyway.
"Lumina," he whispered, "I’m your husband. You should trust—"
Her hand flew up and slapped his chest away blindly.
"Don’t kiss me!" she cried before he even tried.
Adam stared at her, stunned and boiling.
But before he could try again—
The doors slammed open.
A heavy, powerful aura shook the room. Heat surged through the air like lightning.
Lumina gasped and turned her head sharply.
Footsteps approached. Slow. Strong. Deadly.
Adam’s face paled.
Alexis rushed behind the figure, out of breath, shouting, "Mother said he shouldn’t be here yet—"
But it was too late.
Ashen Ryder stepped into the room.
His eyes burned like molten fire.
His aura filled the entire space.
His presence made everyone drop to their knees without command.
Behind him, Stella rushed forward, tears already streaming down her face.
"My lady!" she cried the moment she saw Lumina. "My lady, you’re alive!"
Lumina’s head lifted slowly at the sound of Stella’s voice. Her lips parted. Her fingers trembled.
"Stella...?" Lumina whispered softly.
Stella broke completely. She ran to the bed and dropped to her knees, grabbing Lumina’s hands with shaking grip.
"My lady, forgive me... I wasn’t there... I couldn’t protect you..."
Lumina touched her face weakly. "Why... why are you crying?"
Stella sobbed harder.
Ashen didn’t move.
He didn’t speak.
He only stared at Lumina — the woman calling another man her husband... the woman trembling in fear... the woman confused and bruised and lost.
Adam swallowed, shifting backward slowly.
Ashen’s voice came out low... dangerous... enough to freeze the blood in every vein.
"What," he said, eyes fixed on Adam, "did you do to my wife?"
Adam didn’t answer.
Because for the first time in a long time —
he was terrified.
Lumina slowly turned her head toward the direction of Ashen’s voice.
"Ashen...?" she whispered, but her voice wavered with uncertainty, as if she was unsure whether the name belonged to him.
Ashen’s expression cracked — just slightly.
He stepped closer, his boots echoing through the silent room.
But Lumina’s body flinched sharply at the sound, fear instinctively rising.
"I don’t... know you..." she whispered.
Stella froze, her breath snatched away.
Ashen stopped mid-step.
Every part of him went still — as if the world itself had just stabbed him in the heart.
Adam exhaled shakily.
"Yes," he said quietly, voice dripping with victory, "she doesn’t."
Ashen turned slowly toward him.
And the hatred in that single look...
could burn a realm to ash.
