Married to My Ex-Fiancé's Cousin-Chapter 692 Hidden Love in the Bottom of the Heart_1
Yangyang looked at Ji Yunhuan quietly and said with a smile, "She finally behaved."
"She didn’t behave before?" Qi Cheng couldn’t help but laugh at the word "behave."
Yangyang seemed to be still afraid and said, "She wasn’t behaving at all before. She wouldn’t listen to me or pay attention to Ruirui."
Qi Cheng watched his son crawl around Ji Yunhuan and said, "Can you stop making noise?"
Yangyang responded and fell silent, his eyes fixed on Ji Yunhuan’s face.
Although he didn’t grow up with Ji Yunhuan, he was still quite reliant on her now.
"Aren’t you going to sleep?" Qi Cheng asked worriedly, looking at Yangyang. It was very late. What was the little guy trying to do? Could it be that he just couldn’t let him and Ji Yunhuan have a moment alone?
"I’m very worried about her." Yangyang sat seriously on the side.
"Go to sleep now."
"I won’t."
The father and son argued for a while, and in the end, Qi Cheng gave up, mainly because he was afraid that if Yangyang made a fuss, he would disturb Ji Yunhuan. He was really at his wits’ end with this little guy.
Fortunately, it didn’t take long for Yangyang to crawl into the bed and fall asleep. He didn’t even care about Ruirui, whom he usually watched over constantly.
-
The next morning when Ji Yunhuan woke up, she saw her arms being pressed down by someone on each side. She raised her hand slightly. Yangyang didn’t move. Then she looked to the side at Qi Cheng, not knowing why he was here.
Qi Cheng was instantly awakened by her movement. He looked at Ji Yunhuan and said, "Awake?"
"Why are you here?" Her eyes were cold, completely different from the clingy look she gave him when she was drunk.
Qi Cheng couldn’t believe that he held a place in Ji Yunhuan’s heart when looking at her like this.
Too indifferent, too good at pretending!
Qi Cheng, far from looking like he had watched over her all night, said indifferently, "There were no beds at home, so I came here to crash."
"..." Ji Yunhuan glared at him fiercely, "Get out. I don’t want to see you."
"Mom is so fierce!" Yangyang sat up beside her, startled by Ji Yunhuan’s cold demeanor. He whimpered, realizing that her coldness was more terrifying than when she was drunk.
Ji Yunhuan glanced at him and couldn’t help but want to maintain a good image in front of her son, softening her tone.
Ji Yunhuan raised her hands and saw the bandages on her ten fingers. She felt a bit depressed, "What happened to my hands?"
She had no recollection of what had happened last night.
If she had, she wouldn’t have allowed herself to do something so humiliating.
Torturing herself over a man was fundamentally against her nature.
Qi Cheng said faintly, "You were drunk last night and practiced iron palm technique. You hurt your fingers."
Ji Yunhuan glared at him, "Are you crazy?"
Qi Cheng had already sat up, "I’m going to wash my face."
Apparently, he didn’t want to answer Ji Yunhuan’s questions.
Ji Yunhuan looked at Yangyang, not with the same cold demeanor she showed Qi Cheng, "What happened to my hands?"
Yangyang moved closer, examined Ji Yunhuan’s fingers, blew on them, and then told her, "You played the violin for a very long time last night. I told you to stop, but you didn’t. Your hands got hurt from playing."
Yangyang hadn’t noticed Ji Yunhuan’s hands were injured either. He looked at her with concern, "Does it hurt?"
Ji Yunhuan said, "It doesn’t hurt. It’s okay."
Yangyang looked at her with worry, "Really doesn’t hurt?"
"Hmm." Ji Yunhuan stared at her fingers and couldn’t help but frown. Hurting her hands showed she had really played the violin for a long time. Had she gone mad? What had she done while drunk?
Could she not feel the pain?
She covered her fingers and realized they really hurt like hell!
Qi Cheng came out of the bathroom and didn’t seem like he planned to leave. He stood aside, looking at Ji Yunhuan indifferently.
Ji Yunhuan had already gotten out of bed, still wearing her dress from last night. She pulled at her clothes, saying, "Dirty."
Sleeping in the clothes all night was unbearable to even think about.
"It’s already good enough that you managed to come back after getting drunk alone." Qi Cheng mocked coldly.
Ji Yunhuan, "..."
She looked at Qi Cheng indifferently, "Why couldn’t I come back?"
Besides, she didn’t go out alone!
The bodyguards were with her 24/7. How could anything happen to her?
Qi Cheng said, "Drinking alone was fun?"
Ji Yunhuan looked into his cold eyes and turned her gaze away, "I’m not talking to you."
She went into the bathroom to wash up. While brushing her teeth, she looked at her eyes and remembered the reason why she went out to drink last night. It was because of Qi Cheng, unbelievably it was because of Qi Cheng. Oh my god, how could she be so pathetic?
That man didn’t want her anymore, yet she still did such disgraceful things.
And why was Qi Cheng here?
Could it be that she called him while drunk?
Had she done such a disgraceful thing like calling him?
With complicated emotions, Ji Yunhuan finished brushing her teeth. Qi Cheng walked in. He stood aside, taking a towel to help her wring out a washcloth.
Ji Yunhuan looked at him guardedly, "What are you doing?"
"I’m making sure you don’t get your hands wet. What do you think I’m doing?" Qi Cheng placed the wrung-out washcloth on her face, "Wash your face!"
Ji Yunhuan frowned and wiped her face with the cloth. Qi Cheng handed her the cleanser.
Looking at his manner, she said, "Mr. Qi, a busy man like you actually came here to help me wash my face?"
"Just a small favor. Besides, I happen to be in a relatively good mood today." He looked at her indifferently, with no trace of tenderness in his eyes. All his feelings for her were buried deep inside, hidden very well.
Ji Yunhuan said, "Aren’t you afraid Su Molang will be sad if he finds out we’re together?"
"He and Su Zi are going to C City for a few days, to Bai Liyan’s house, so..."
"So you came to find me?" Ji Yunhuan’s eyes dimmed.
No wonder he showed up here. Turns out he had made sure Su Molang wasn’t around.
Qi Cheng looked her in the eye, "Are you angry?"
Ji Yunhuan denied, "I’m not that petty. You’re not worth it!"
She was never good at expressing her feelings and didn’t want others to know her thoughts. Sometimes, when lying to others for so long, she even fooled herself.
For the next few days, Qi Cheng didn’t leave. He was very worried about Ji Yunhuan, fearing she would do something foolish while he was gone.
Ji Yunhuan found his constant presence annoying.
She knew very well that as soon as Su Molang appeared, Qi Cheng would leave her and even forget about her. Since that was the case, she didn’t want to soften her heart towards this man or have any hope for him.
Qi Cheng didn’t mind her indifference. He spent his days happily playing with the kids.
Ji Yunhuan came downstairs and stood aside, watching Qi Cheng, who had been in her house for three whole days.
She didn’t stay long. She walked up to him.
Qi Cheng looked at her, "You didn’t like sitting with me before, did you?"
Whenever she saw him, she’d quickly keep a few meters away, as if he had germs.
"I’m here to kick you out." Ji Yunhuan said coldly.
