Married to My Ex-Fiancé's Cousin-Chapter 665 Pouring a Bucket of Cold Water_1
If he lost these, he would truly fight to the death!
Zhou Yixiu spread his hands. "Let go, I already know. Can’t that be enough? How could I risk my own life to fight you? I promise I won’t appear in front of her again. Is that okay?"
Hearing this, Qi Cheng finally released Zhou Yixiu. Only then did Zhou Yixiu’s men put down their weapons.
Assistant Gao stood to the side. Seeing Qi Cheng let go, he breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. His older brother had advised Qi Cheng many times to not confront Zhou Yixiu head-on. Zhou Yixiu dared to invite him here; naturally, he wasn’t unprepared. They all knew Zhou Yixiu wasn’t easy to deal with. Assistant Gao was very worried Qi Cheng would act impulsively, and not only suffer a loss but also anger their grandfather.
Although the four families fought secretly quite often, it had never come to this level of openly tearing each other’s faces.
After all, the relationships among the families were balanced. If two of them fought, the other families would benefit, so their grandfather had ordered not to do such things.
Zhou Yixiu was not someone you could easily deal with. Even their grandfather would think twice before acting against him.
In the evening, Ji Yunhuan personally made children’s meals for her two little darlings. Watching them eat so happily made her smile.
"Is it good?"
She asked Ruirui.
Now, besides milk, Ruirui could eat some other foods.
Hearing Ji Yunhuan’s words, he nodded. "It’s good."
"And you, Yangyang? Is it good?" Ji Yunhuan asked.
Yangyang nodded too, but unlike Ruirui, he was not very talkative. He rarely spoke.
While the mother and her two children were eating, Qi Cheng came in.
Seeing him, the servant spoke up. "Third Young Master."
Ji Yunhuan looked up and glanced at him. He hadn’t come after sending Ruirui over until now. It seemed he had just finished his work.
His appearance made the atmosphere in the living room somewhat tense. Ji Yunhuan glanced at him but didn’t say anything.
Assistant Gao walked in and said, "Sir hasn’t eaten yet."
Ji Yunhuan acted as if she hadn’t heard.
Assistant Gao had thought that since Qi Cheng had looked for Ji Yunhuan all day yesterday and had spoken a lot to her today, Ji Yunhuan would be touched. But she seemed to have heard nothing and continued focusing on the children.
The servant, sensing the awkward atmosphere, volunteered. "I’ll make dinner for Third Young Master."
"No need," Qi Cheng interrupted, his gaze falling on Ji Yunhuan. He looked at Ji Yunhuan and said, "If she doesn’t want me to eat, then I won’t eat."
His words made Ji Yunhuan feel baffled. She looked up at him. Why did it seem like she was deliberately starving him?
"Whether you eat or not is your own business. What does it have to do with me? Couldn’t you have eaten outside before coming back?" Ji Yunhuan looked at him with disdain.
She thought Qi Cheng was acting strangely. Was he trying to make peace?
Qi Cheng spoke amicably. "I just wanted to have a meal with the two kids. That’s why I made time to come back. Do you accept this explanation?"
Ji Yunhuan glanced at him indifferently and told the servant, "Go prepare dinner for him."
Qi Cheng looked at Ji Yunhuan. Seeing her still with a cold expression, he felt a bit lost. He had brought Ruirui back to show he wanted to reconcile, but she gave him no face. He felt a bit disappointed.
On his way here, he had felt a bit excited about seeing her. However, reality was like a bucket of cold water poured over his head.
"Ji Yunhuan."
"What?" She didn’t look at him, her tone was cold.
So much had happened recently; she really didn’t know how to face Qi Cheng.
Although she found out at the Qi Family today that Qi Shan wasn’t his new lover, she still felt only awkwardness when she saw him.
What had happened that morning was still fresh in her mind. He almost acted out of jealousy against her.
Thinking about his terrifying possessiveness, she wanted to stay away from this man.
"Ruirui can stay with you from now on." Qi Cheng’s voice was calm but had a hint of warmth.
Ji Yunhuan couldn’t help but glance at him. "Oh? Aren’t you afraid I’ll run away with Ruirui and Bai Liyan?"
"..." Qi Cheng looked at her cold, frosty eyes. Naturally, he was worried, but Ruirui was only happy by her side. He asked, "Do you really have to treat me this way?"
"Then think about how you treated me." Ji Yunhuan remembered everything that had happened recently and wouldn’t forget easily.
Qi Cheng said, "I didn’t want you to see Ruirui before because I was angry. But now, haven’t I brought him to you?"
Ji Yunhuan glanced at Ruirui without saying anything. She didn’t want to argue with Qi Cheng, to avoid him leaving in a huff again, making it impossible for her to be with Ruirui. She watched her little darling eat seriously, a few grains of rice even falling onto the small bib on his chest.
Seeing her not speak, Qi Cheng sat quietly, watching her.
The dining room stayed silent for a while.
Soon, the servant brought the dinner. "Sir."
Qi Cheng saw it and told the servant, "You can leave."
It wasn’t made by Ji Yunhuan, so he had no appetite.
He was always picky about food, disliking simple things, but whatever she made always seemed to be delicious.
Ji Yunhuan saw that he wasn’t eating and ignored him. Knowing his nature, she didn’t bother to serve him.
Not long after, Ruirui and Yangyang finished eating. Yangyang glanced at Qi Cheng’s plate. "Aren’t you going to eat?"
Seeing him eating so happily, with oil on his mouth, Qi Cheng felt a bit jealous of his son.
Yangyang said, "Then I’ll eat it!"
Clearly, he wasn’t full yet!
Ji Yunhuan widened her eyes. "You ate that much?"
"Since Dad isn’t eating, it seems wasteful." He reluctantly said.
"No, you’ve already eaten enough tonight. If you eat more, you won’t be able to sleep later." She controlled his food intake to prevent him from overeating and getting sick, which would be worrisome.
Yangyang sighed in resignation. "Alright!"
He still seemed somewhat unsatisfied.
Ji Yunhuan placed Ruirui in the stroller. Yangyang took Ruirui to the living room to play, and Ji Yunhuan cleaned up the table. There was no servant at home, the only one left today to help with Ruirui since she was afraid she couldn’t manage alone.
She collected the bowls and looked at Qi Cheng, meeting his gaze. She asked, "What exactly do you want?"
