Married to My Ex-Fiancé's Cousin-Chapter 663: Wanting to Make Up with Her_1
"No need." Qi Cheng wanted to walk out, but Qi Shan said, "Come here, I have something to tell you."
She had the demeanor of a queen.
And Qi Cheng, being quite obedient to her, walked over and sat on the same sofa as Qi Shan.
Qi Mu saw that Ji Yunhuan had been staring at Qi Shan and introduced, "You don’t know her, do you? I forgot to introduce her to you last time. This is Qi Shan, from Qi Cheng’s uncle’s family. She’s staying here for a few days."
Ji Yunhuan was a bit surprised by this. She looked at Qi Shan, and Qi Shan also smiled at her, "What, still see me as a love rival?"
The words ’love rival’ made Ji Yunhuan’s ears burn uncomfortably.
She remembered the day Qi Shan visited their house and her own attitude, feeling both ashamed and awkward.
Qi Shan smiled and said, "You had someone beat him up like that that day. I initially wanted to settle the score with you, but Qi Cheng protected you, so I let it go."
"Sis!" Qi Cheng interrupted Qi Shan.
Qi Shan, perplexed, said, "Why are you embarrassed by what I said? You two clearly still have feelings for each other. Why act like strangers?"
Her bluntness made the atmosphere in the living room quite awkward. Ji Yunhuan bit her lip, not knowing what to say.
Qi Cheng also frowned at Qi Shan’s words.
Clearly, Qi Cheng hadn’t recovered from today’s events.
He glanced at Ji Yunhuan and noticed she wasn’t looking at him.
Seeing how awkward they were, Qi Shan and Qi Mu didn’t bother bringing up the matter again.
While eating, Yangyang asked, "Are we taking Ruirui with us?"
He knew Ji Yunhuan came here specifically to pick him up. But with Qi Cheng here, taking Ruirui away was a complicated issue.
Ji Yunhuan glanced at Qi Cheng, knowing he wouldn’t agree, so she didn’t hold out hope. She replied, "We’re not taking Ruirui."
"Why?" Yangyang looked at Ruirui, reluctant to part with him. He loved this ’younger sister’ very much. Even Ji Yunhuan didn’t expect the bond between Ruirui and Yangyang to be so strong.
Hearing Ji Yunhuan’s words, Ruirui also looked up at her, seemingly wanting to ask why.
Ji Yunhuan said, "No reason."
She was afraid of being greedy and wanting to take both kids, which might anger Qi Cheng and end up with her losing both.
Qi Mu spoke up, "You can stay here with them for two more days." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
"Thank you for your kind offer, but I can’t. I have work and can’t stay here every day." Staying with the Qi Family would make her position very awkward.
Ji Yunhuan glanced at Qi Shan, who was chatting with Qi Cheng. The siblings were really close, and she hadn’t expected Qi Shan to be Qi Cheng’s sister. She had always thought Qi Shan was Qi Cheng’s new flame.
Sensing Ji Yunhuan’s gaze, Qi Shan turned and smiled slightly.
Ji Yunhuan nodded with some embarrassment.
In the afternoon, Ji Yunhuan prepared to leave with Yangyang.
Just thinking about parting with Ruirui again made her very reluctant. She stood at the door, holding Ruirui in her arms, and said, "Be good and listen at home. Mommy will come to see you in a few days."
Ruirui looked at Ji Yunhuan, his big eyes blinking, completely unaware of the situation. Yangyang was already packed and ready. To him, he and Ji Yunhuan were a family now.
He too was reluctant to leave Ruirui. He had been with Ruirui recently and didn’t want to part at all.
He gazed sympathetically at his beloved ’sister.’
Ruirui still didn’t understand that Ji Yunhuan was going to leave him. He nodded at whatever she said until she put him down. Then he realized she was leaving. He grabbed Ji Yunhuan’s hand, "Mommy, don’t go."
Looking at her son’s innocent expression, Ji Yunhuan was really reluctant to leave him. If she could, she wouldn’t want to do this cruel thing every day. She held Ruirui and coaxed, "Good baby, be good. I will come to see you very soon."
Qi Shan and Qi Cheng stood by the window, looking downstairs. Qi Shan commented on his gloomy expression, "What’s wrong? If you are this unhappy, why don’t you reconcile with her?"
Thinking about Ji Yunhuan’s expression that morning, Qi Cheng turned his gaze away from the mother-son separation scene downstairs. "It’s not that I don’t want to."
"Is it that she’s unwilling?" Qi Shan asked. "She has feelings for you. Why wouldn’t she be willing? You just need to put more effort into it."
"..." Qi Cheng fell silent. The events of that morning left him bewildered about how to face Ji Yunhuan.
Seeing him like this, Qi Shan sighed helplessly, "Oh Qi Cheng, what am I going to do with you?"
Qi Cheng stared at a spot in the room. "You don’t need to say anything. Just give me some time!"
He needed to calm down.
Otherwise, even if he got back with Ji Yunhuan now, it would only result in repeating the past.
If they didn’t completely resolve their issues, they couldn’t be happy together.
In the end, Ji Yunhuan managed to persuade Ruirui, taking Yangyang and leaving. But Ruirui, held by the servant, wasn’t happy at all.
He wanted to stay with his mom and brother, but they wouldn’t take him.
Qi Shan told the servant downstairs, "Bring him up."
Soon, the servant carried Ruirui up to the second floor. Qi Shan approached and handed him to Qi Cheng, "Take care of your son."
Qi Cheng looked down at Ruirui and held him. He had barely looked at Ruirui these days, unaware the child was even with the Qi Family. He had thought he was with Ji Yunhuan.
Seeing the little one’s unhappy face, he felt helpless. As a father, his position in his child’s heart couldn’t compare to Ji Yunhuan as a mother.
Qi Shan said from the side, "Even if it’s not for you, for your son’s sake, you need to get his mother back. Qi Cheng, you’re not young anymore. You can’t keep being this willful. Don’t end up like your sister, understand?"
Qi Cheng glanced at Qi Shan. She had only recently divorced her husband of many years and moved back. That’s why she had been staying here, not going home.
She was looking for a quiet place to recover from her pain.
Although she appeared cheerful in front of others, the wounds remained deeply embedded in her heart.
Appreciating her sympathy and advice, Qi Cheng replied, "Thanks, Shan. For saying all this to me."
"I’m just glad you don’t find me annoying." Qi Shan patted his shoulder and left, leaving him and his son alone.
Qi Cheng looked at Ruirui, remembering Ji Yunhuan’s reluctant expression when she left. He knew she didn’t want to part with their son.
Yet, she refused to beg him to let her take Ruirui.
She didn’t want to involve herself with him anymore or come to him for any favors.
Qi Cheng recalled the morning’s events, understanding that Ji Yunhuan hated him.
Her words that morning reminded him of many things.
