Manaless Mage-Chapter 186: Dire situation

While Harry was still panicking within his thoughts, the full body of the mana beast fully emerged from the large purplish yellow crack.

Its body structure was very similar to that of the three other beasts that came out of the rift, with only a few differences like its size and skin.

Its body was over three meters tall, and its physique was a lot more robust that of the other three. Its tough brown skin was a shade darker, and coupled with its large frame, it was a lot more intimidating.

Roarrr!!!

It turned its large head to the skies and then let out another loud roar, with thick veins bulging around its neck.

Without wasting anytime, Harry swiftly activated all his speed-boost skills, without holding anything back.

[Accelerate Activated!]

[+130 Points temporarily allocated to agility]

[Lightning Dash Activated!]

[Wind Steps Activated!]

[-90 Energy points]

Sparks of blue lightning snaked around his body, mainly concentrated around his legs, and the wind around his legs fluttered violently, further boosting his speed.

He even harnessed his energy to the skills, bringing his speed to a whole new level.

His expression morphed into a deep frown, and cold sweat rolled down his cheeks.

Now that the mana beast had fully emerged from the rift, he doubted running away would do any good for him.

Growl!!

The mana beast let out a deep, drawn-out growl, as it finally noticed Harry. It snarled at him, baring its fangs angrily.

Harry’s brows furrowed slightly, with his back drenched with sweat. He didn’t think he could fight the beast head-on, but with the power from all his skills, he should be able to stand his ground at least.

It was already too late to turn around, so all he could do was fight it.

Growl!

The beast growled again, before stomping one of its limbs on the ground.

Crack!

Though it didn’t use all its strength in that stomp, slight cracks still appeared on the ground surface.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a large gust of wind blew, and the mana beast vanished from Harry’s sight.

Harry’s eyes widened in shock at the beast’s speed. He was sure it didn’t actually vanish, and its speed was just so fast that he couldn’t even follow it!

The next thing he felt was a slight spark in his head, warning him of incoming danger.

He swiftly tried to move to the side, in order to escape whatever was coming, however, before he could even react, the massive head of the mana beast suddenly slammed into his torso.

Thwack—!!

A dull sound reverberated in the air as the head of the beast collided with Harry’s chest at full force.

One of the large tusks on the beast’s head violently pierced through his side, tearing through flesh and muscle with a sickening squelch.

Blood spurted from the wound, staining his clothes and pooling on the ground beneath him. A sharp pain surged through his body, causing a momentary paralysis as he grappled with the searing agony.

"Arrgh!!" Harry grunted in pain, and the impact from the hit sent him flying almost instantly.

THWACK—!!

Like a broken marionette, his body flew in the air for a few seconds before crashing with his back into the hard, unforgiving ground.

His body bouncing on the hard floor a few more times, before stopping just in front of a small building at the other end of the road.

[CRITICAL INJURY!!]

A bold, red notification suddenly appeared in front of Harry, informing him of the severity of his injuries.

[Healing and Regeneration Activated!]

Another one followed, as his passive skill activated almost immediately.

"Arrg!" Harry grunted in agony, before gently placing his right hand over the deep cut he got from the beast’s tusk.

He swiftly channeled his energy through the wound, in a bid to boost the regeneration speed of the skill.

The flesh within the wound wormed around slowly, as the cut started regenerating.

However, due to how deep the injury was, the healing process was sure to take a considerable amount of time, and the pain didn’t lessen in the slightest.

Sweat pooled around his forehead, and a his brows creased in frustration as he felt the thick, warm liquid rapidly flowing from the wound.

The wound stung with pain, and even though he only touched it lightly, waves of pain assaulted him from the cut.

Fortunately, he managed to shift his body a little just before the mana beast hit him, causing the second tusk to miss him and even though the other tusk managed to pierce through his body, it didn’t hit any of his vital organs.

If not for this, his injuries would have been a lot more severe, and his chances of surviving the attack would be next to zero.

"Arrg!!" Harry groaned, as he slowly sat up, resting his back on the wall behind him.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only injury he sustained from that attack.

His face was also riddled with bruises, and there was a large wound on his back that kept burning with pain.

Due to how hard his body crashed into the hard ground, more wounds managed to pile up on his body, and each of them stung him with great pain.

The injuries were already healing, but since he was concentrating his energy on the deep cut he got from the beast’s tusk, the rest were regenerating rather slowly in comparison.

In the distance, he could see the massive brown creature that put him in this state, standing proudly while roaring to the skies.

Roarrr!!

The loud roar of the mana beast reverberated in the air, plunging the hearts of those who heard it in terror.

Harry gnashed his teeth in anger, and his fingers trembled slightly at the sides.

’This... it’s just like the last time.’ Harry mumbled inwardly, with his expression morphed into a deep frown.

For some reason, his current predicament brought back memories from the mana beast attack that happened a few months ago.

This beast was also at the fourth stage, and though it wasn’t as powerful as the one that appeared that time, he was still helpless against it... still too weak when compared to the mana beast.
