"Fight you? What do you mean?" Leon frowned deeply.

The last time he got into a fight with Arian both of them were nearly left for dead. Granted he was still new in this world, but fighting her randomly was still overkill.

"The first time was a draw, don’t you want to see who’s stronger?" Arian gently stood up while speaking.

Leon had gotten much stronger than before. He was now a middle stage level 3 warlock just like her, the last time they were on equal footing like this was when she was severely wounded in the Dead wood forest.

"No I don’t" Leon responded firmly, but did that stop Arian’s progress? She moved at a slow yet steady pace towards Leon then all of a sudden.

A blue Ray of light shone from the surface of her sword as she cut towards Leon in a spilt second.

"LifeEnergy shield"

Just as Arians sword neared him. Leon activated an energy shield blocking the attack for a brief second.

A second later, the energy shield shattered and fell to the ground like glass. Meanwhile Leon had used this opportunity to create some distance between himself and Arian.

"Hmp!!"

That attack was swift and unexpected, if Leon didn’t activate this spell he might have been severely injured at that moment.

"You want a fight huh? Let’s fight" Leon’s eyes heart began to beat uncontrollably. Leon could pretend as if he didn’t understand why this was happening, but deep down he knew.

That draw back in dead wood forest was a debt. One that he eventually had to settle.

"BloodSerpent work: WindSerpent arrows"

Leon raised his hand In the air and countless arrows formed from thin air and blacked out the sky above the courtyard.

"Go!!"

There was a time where he struggled with forming just one of these. That time was in the past

The Arrows fell from the sky like heavy rain drops seeking to rip apart the Arain.

"Good" but this was what she wanted, the Challange had been accepted, so with her sword she began cutting through the torrent of arrows while slowly advancing towards Leon In the sky.

The sound of swords clashing soon resounded through the area drawing the attention of those around.

"Cover the perimeter and get civilians out of the way!!"

The first group to react were Leon’s faceless Raiders. With the Smoke wolf brothers taking the lead, the slowly started to clear the region of ordinary people.

The bosses fight was not something they could get involved with, especially when it was against someone they deemed to be his partner.

"There!!"

At that moment, Arian swung her sword once more, this time cutting at Leon’s arm. Fortunately, he saw this coming and responded in kind.

Thousands of ambushes from his past life thought him to always be prepared, so even now, underneath his robes several items of the Crimson Raider Amour was on him.

This was a grade three Amour set.

Noticing her sword stopped in its tracks, Arian pulled it out and rode the momentum to strike him once again.

Close quarters combat. One with a sword and the other with his bare hands.

Two shilouttes danced through the sky sending attack after attack. Each aiming for the most vital spots, but falling short each time.

They had known each other for a while now, they knew how the other fought, their tendencies and bottom line.

Battles like these were usually butual and had the ability to push one to their very limit.

"Storm Area: lightening Godess"

Not long after, Arian activated her Area causing lightening to begin crackling all around breaking apart several items in the courtyard.

The evolution of a mage and that of a warlock were different, but each sides were equally powerful.

"Hmp!!" Seeing Arian activate take the fight a step futher, Leon too activated his Site. Right infront of those spectating, several orbs with serpents within flew from Leon’s Area like heat seeking projectiles.

"Cage"

Before Arian knew it the orbs had positioned themselves in such a way that allowed them to enclose her.

This was the first time she had seen Leon use this tactic. They lived together, but Leon still had so many secrets. Old ones and new.

"Can’t stop, won’t stop" Arian gashed her teeth and started releasing bolts after bolts of lightening crackling all over the cage.

It would be a stupid mistake to belive that during these past few months Arian hadn’t improved at all.

In fact she was very close to being a peak level 3 mage. Although she hadn’t made headway she could definitely go toe to toe with one and even win.

The attacks slowly destroyed each serpent head that shot out of Leon’s Site in hopes of destroying the Site. If it were anyone else, they would have immediately backed off in fear of the Backlash from Arian destroying their site.

Not Leon though, he knew what he was doing. As she attacked, new serpent heads emerged moving faster than ever before. It reached the point that just a split second after destroying a serpent head a new one would appear in that exact spot the next second.

"Hmm just like him to be so slimy" Arian cursed. Leon had several layers to every attack, if one failed another would spring up. This was the man she had been following for so long.

"What’s going on here?"

Right outside of the perimeter created by the faceless raiders, several figures appeared with worried expressions on their faces as they looked up.

"High Arbiter"

Recognising who had just appeared, Wolf 1 bowed deeply. The High Arbiter of the bloodserpent clans enforcement unit was Leon’s master.

They had to respect him.

"We....don’t really understand. But he said no one should interfer," After a brief pause, Wolf 1 spoke with some hesitation.

He really didn’t know what this was all about, but a command was a command, he wouldn’t let even the High Arbiter to get involved.

"I see" The frown on the high Arbiters face could only deepen.

He was casually making his way here to drag Leon to the main clan with his own hands after he refused his invitation once again.

He didn’t expect to meet such a scene.
