Magus Supremacy-Chapter 347: A Reward from the Emperor!
Chapter 347: A Reward from the Emperor!
Chapter 347
One month later!
It had been a full month since the Lunaria intra-tournament—a month since so many unforgettable events took place. A tournament where the second-year students proved that they were anything but inferior to their upperclassmen.
That same tournament had become a stage for monumental revelations. Chief among them: the fact that a student from Lunaria Academy was a multi-elementalist.
The secret Grey had kept hidden for so many months was exposed—right before the eyes of the entire world.
Well, maybe not intentionally, but the moment it was revealed, the news spread like wildfire. Across cities and towns, the message echoed. Those who hadn’t witnessed it firsthand dismissed it as fantasy.
In fact, most refused to believe it. But the eyewitnesses—those who had seen it with their own eyes—couldn’t keep quiet. They fanned the flames of the news. And soon, it reached even the Emperor himself.
So much so, that he contacted Amir personally.
After being summoned, Amir finally confirmed the truth. He made it clear: the rumors were no fabrication—they were fact. The news rocked the continent. Other squads, other academies—everyone heard. And they were shocked to their very cores.
Grey’s reveal had practically shaken the world to its foundations.
And yet, at the very center of it all, stood the one who cared the least—Grey himself.
He brushed the news off like a leaf on his shoulder. He didn’t flinch over the risks to his identity. He didn’t regret his actions for even a second. Because in his heart, saving his friend had been worth every consequence.
"How can you be so apath to this?! Soon enough, you’ll be overrun by paparazzi!" Raze exclaimed as they all sat around one of the cafeteria tables.
"Then I’ll just blast them away with flames or something," Grey muttered nonchalantly, scooping food into his mouth without missing a beat.
"Blast them away? What if there are girls among them?" Arthur asked, gripping his spoon tightly.
"Girls? To me, males and females are the same. So whatever treatment the males get, the females get it too," Grey replied with a casual shrug, then took a long sip from his drink.
"Tsk! You’re hopeless," Raze muttered before turning back to his food.
"I never did get the chance to thank you properly," Vince suddenly spoke, breaking the lull in the conversation.
"Actually, you thanked me five times a day for an entire month," Grey said, narrowing his eyes at him. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
"And that still doesn’t feel like enough. You saved my life... saved me from my own blood—from my own brother. So if I thank you a dozen more times, it still wouldn’t match what you did for me," Vince replied sincerely.
"And it really isn’t needed. Anybody in your shoes, I would’ve done the same," Grey replied coolly.
"Did I just hear you say that you’d save just anyone in his position?" Greg interrupted, coughing as if choking on his food. "You? The Grey I know wouldn’t care even if the whole world was burning down."
"You caught me," Grey smirked, the corners of his lips curling.
The conversation was cut short as the cafeteria doors suddenly burst open. Amir strode in with authority, a dramatic flair in every step.
"Captain!" everyone chorused as they immediately stood and saluted.
"At ease," Amir said with a quick wave. "I don’t have much time. I’m swamped with work, so I’ll keep it short. The Emperor himself sent me here to give you all something."
"Something from the Emperor?" Vanica asked, raising a curious brow.
"Yes. He wanted to come here personally to meet you all—but urgent matters detained him. So he sent me as his representative," Amir explained swiftly.
"And what is it exactly?" Grey asked, one brow arched inquisitively.
"For completing all missions continuously, saving the academy twice, and maintaining a spotless record," Amir began, his voice proud and firm, "the Emperor has granted all of you permission to return home and spend a full month with your families."
A wide smile stretched across his face as he delivered the news.
Grey stood frozen in place, eyes blinking rapidly, his brain struggling to register what he had just heard. The words echoed in his head, but they didn’t quite land—not until a few seconds later.
"Wait! We can go home? For a month? Really?" Grey asked again, this time his voice cracking slightly from the sheer wave of emotions surging through him. A genuine smile—one rarely seen—began creeping across his face.
"Yup," Amir confirmed, turning on his heel. "You’re all free to leave tomorrow."
’So I can finally return home... to Mum and Jesse. After so many months away... I’ll finally get to see them again.’ Grey’s thoughts buzzed with joy, and for the first time in a long while, it felt like his heart was beating a little lighter.
"Yoo! I can finally head back to see my dad." Raze stretched with a groan, his voice brimming with excitement. "It’s been over a year since I last stepped foot in my hometown."
"I miss my sisters," Vanica said, practically bouncing in her seat, unable to contain her own joy.
"Sisters?" Arthur perked up, leaning in with curiosity. "You’ve never mentioned them before. Older or younger?"
"I’ve got three," Vanica replied proudly. "Two older and one younger."
"Perfect. I’ll take the two older sisters, please," Arthur grinned mischievously, wagging his brows.
"You pervert!" Vanica shrieked, grabbing a spoon like a dagger and hurling it toward Arthur, who yelped and shot out of his seat in terror.
"Come back here, you pervert!" she roared, dashing after him around the canteen, her face flushed with embarrassment and fury.
"Kids these days," Raze muttered with a dramatic shake of his head, watching the chaos unfold.
Then his gaze drifted to Scarlet, who was sitting quietly, deep in thought, until she noticed him staring.
"What do you want?" Scarlet asked, a stern frown forming on her face.
"You don’t happen to have a sister who isn’t all cold and frowny, do you?" Raze teased, smirking.
But that smirk died instantly.
The air around Scarlet dropped by several degrees, and Raze immediately began sweating buckets as invisible pressure bore down on him.
"I was just kidding! Please spare me!"
"Come here!" Scarlet shouted, flames igniting around her hands as she began launching fireballs at him.
"I don’t even have any affinities right now!" Raze cried out in panic, ducking under tables and weaving through chairs as he tried to escape her fiery wrath.
"Hey! No fighting in the canteen!" a mage suddenly materialized out of nowhere, his eyes stern and disapproving. Instantly, the entire room froze, everyone bowing in unison.
"We’re sorry!"
"Better." With a quick nod, the mage vanished just as suddenly as he appeared.
But the moment he disappeared, chaos resumed like a flipped switch—spells, bickering, and laughter erupted again in full force.
Grey, still sitting in his spot, watched it all unfold and chuckled quietly to himself.
’A whole month with Mum, huh?’ he thought warmly. ’I’m really going to miss these guys. Can’t believe I’m saying this, but... the year and a half I’ve spent with them has been some of the most memorable and fun moments of my life. I’ll miss them. Truly.’
