Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress-Chapter 110: Ch : Weiss and the Developed Souran Castle

The current Souran Castle was completely different from what it was three years ago. The already imposing and large castle had became even bigger and more formidable.

But that was not because new buildings were attached to the castle. Instead, Weiss had focused on repairing the old castle and using stronger material modified by her to make the walls tougher.

This was an expensive project but after the expedition to the magic castle ruin, Weiss lacked everything but money. And not just that, this lavish spending also served a second purpose.

Even though Weiss had not shown of her strength to the outside world that much, just by looking at the villagers and how much business they were doing, it was clear that the Souran Territory was not destitute anymore.

In this situation, there was a possibility that even with the current turmoil in the noble society, some desparate nobles might start to get bad ideas about this place.

And as Weiss was doing a very good job as the governor, this was also something that was attracting attention from some of the nobles.

So when Weiss had started to "foolishly" renovate a old and large castle while spending a lot of money, this had immediately made the other nobles to think less of her. This action was the sign that this young baroness was still naive but had a good head on her shoulder.

But these overconfident and arrogant nobles had no idea that with the renovations, the current defensive prowess of the castle had reached a new height. Even Siege weapons like catapults, ballista, battering ram etc were useless against it.

As Elise thought about this matter, she smiled. With the current condition of the Souran territory, it did not need to fear even the crown royal family, who were definitely the strongest force of this nation.

Elise could not allow the general population of the city of see the corpse of the three headed wolf. There were some local legends regarding this monster beast. So seeing its dead body might create some troublesome rumours.

So the two ladies and one tiger entered the castle through a hidden entrance. This entrance was currently being guarded by a young man who was about 26 years old.

Even though he looked quite harmless, he was actually an official knight. He was one of the slaves who was rescued by Weiss and after starting his pratice with a knight’s secret art, he had shown excellent talent for the knight’s path.

So Weiss had custom made a knight’s secret art for him and had also given him quite a lot of high quality medicines. This man named Talkiv had not disappointed the trust that Weiss had given him and had managed to become a knight in less than three years.

Seeing the two ladies who were also his superior, Talkiv greeted them with stars shining in his eyes. Elise and Eve also greeted him back with a sweet smile and entered the castle.

After entering, Eve and Elise went on their separate ways. Eve had to go and write reports regarding her current scouting mission while Elise needed to first submit the three headed white wolf for dismantling and then she needed to go and report to Weiss directly.

So with a skip in her steps, Elise quickly went to submit the corpse of the white three headed wolf and then went toward Weiss’s location with the anticipation that she would get praised.

Whenever she met any of the maids or butlers, they greeted her with a smile and a respectful bow of their heads. All of them were handsome and beautiful individuals.

But if someone tested them thoroughly, they would find a terrifying truth in them. Each and every one of them were either mid or high level apprentice knights. So those mere maids and butlers were all capable of becoming a squad captain in the army of other nobles.

At this time for the day, Weiss was most probably in the laboratory. So that place was Elise’s target destination. As she was getting close to it, she came across a red faced smiling maid and a few soldiers who were flirting with her.

This is a very common occurance in the castle. Now that everything in the territory was peaceful and the threat of the monsters had disappeared, the mood of all the inhabitants were good and their moral was super high.

Seeing Elise, these soldiers and the maid also respectfully greeted her. Elise nodded at them with a smile and continued going toward her destination.

Upon entering the room, Elise saw Weiss sitting on a chair with her legs cross. In the last three years, she had finally bloomed completely and had turned into a lady whose beauty could bring downfall to whole nations.

She had became taller and her body had also became more voluptuous. Weiss’s beasts and hips had already surpassed Peria in terms shape and size. Her dark black hair had also almost reached her waist.

But even with the amazing development of her physical characteristics, her lack of facial expressions had not changed much. The people of the castle could tell that Weiss had definitely became more expressive but the outsiders would not be able to see any difference.

Currently Weiss was reading a letter. One of the maids was respectfully standing beside the chair and she was most probably the person who had brought this letter to her.

After Elise came in without even knocking on the door, Weiss removed her eyes from the letter and looked at her.

There was no change in her expression but Elise was able to see that Weiss actually smiled toward her. This made Elise very happy.

Then she told Weiss that she had defeated the three headed wolf and how insanely poweful her newly acquired Ancient Force was. Hearing this Weiss nodded her head as this was just as she had expected.

Then Elise curiously asked Weiss about the letter and Weiss handed it to her. Reading it, Elise found out that it was an invitation to a ball hosted by marquis Skepa.

Now that Weiss had turned 18 years of age, it looked like she had also started to get ball and event invitations. And as this invitation was from a marquis, rejecting it could attract problematic kind of attention.

Weiss also needed to get more familiar with the high society before the arrival of the ship from the magus world. So she decided to take this opportunity to make her social debut.

Getting this order, all the people of the castle started to make preparations for Weiss’s participation in this upcoming ball.
