Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress-Chapter 103: Ch : Aftermath

After reaching the hidden room where the count ruling this palace and breathed his last, Weiss found Peria looting the body of the count while Elise was busy calming down a crying woman.

Seeing Weiss’s returned with a large luggage behind her, both Peria and Elise smiled at her. This could only mean that Weiss’s gain had been considerable.

Fortunately for them, the servants and even the soldiers working in this castle were intelligent and coward at the same time.

So they had not came to disturb the ladies when they were busy killing. For that reason, this mission had turned out be very clean.

If they had tried to fight the ladies, then the number of dead bodies lying in the castle would have been too many. But nothing like that had happened because of the lack of resistance. Even the family members of the count had stayed hidden and away from the action.

Now Weiss just needed to make decision about one thing. What she was going to do about the crying lady. It was clear that she had been abused by the count quite badly and was in a very bad mental state.

So there were two options available for Weiss. Either she needed to kill this lady to give her a sweet release of death or she needed to take her with them. Just leaving her behind was not an option as she had unfortunately seen too much.

After looking at the crying lady for some time with her cold eyes, Weiss made her decision. And that decision was to take the lady away. Even though her eyes were as cold as ice, it looked like her heart still had warmth left.

After making this decision, the ladies left the castle using the same hidden entrance that they had used before to come here. While going out, Peria was helping Weiss in carrying the loot while Elise was carrying the rescued girl.

As there were no one to guard the hidden passage this time, their journey out was even quicker. Then using the darkness of the night as their cover, the ladies returned back to the inn as if nothing had happened.

They came down from their room to take a bath in the large bath of the inn. They also had a late dinner where two of the ladies looked super cheerful while the last one just looked expressionless.

Seeing them like this, no one would be able to guess that less than a few hours ago, these same ladies had killed the lord of the city and three other official Knights under him.

After having a hearty dinner, Weiss and Elise were returning back to their room to get some sleep. The rescued lady was already deeply asleep because of a sleeping drug that Weiss had used on her.

Peria had not returned to this room. While they were eating, a few drunk men had started to hit on her. They had even invited Peria for a drink together.

Peria saw no problem with this invitation and it would be even better for her if these men were planning of fuck her afterwards. So she had gladly accepted their offer to have some cups of drink with them.

With how sexy Peria was and with the looks that the eyes of the men who had invited her had, there was no way Peria would be returning back here to this room for this night. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

She was definitely going to have a wild night to enjoy herself and to get rid of some of the fatigue and frustration that she had gathered during the expedition to the magic castle ruin and the noble slaying operation that had ended just some time ago.

As Weiss and Elise were about to go to bed, their keen senses started to peak up some sounds coming from the distance.

The direction of these sounds were from the castle that they had looted just some time ago. It looked like the servant and guards of the castle had finally came out of their hiding places and had started to make their moves.

As for what they were going to do, Weiss was not certain. Some of them if not most of them would try to run away with as much stolen money as they could from the treasury. As Weiss had not really taken the money, there was a lot that the guards, butlers and maids of this Castle would want.

But there was a high possibility that some of the servants and guards would look for long term stability instead of the short term profit.

The count still should have several sons and daughters left. Some of the servants might want to show off their loyalty to these young and naive potential future lords. That way, if any of them became the next count then the life of the servants who had supported him or her would be set.

Weiss was now feeling a bit curious about what was going to happen next. And it looked like she was not alone who was having this thought. Elise was also feeling the same.

With the killing of Count Dorek, her revenge had came to an end. She did not have the intention to destroy the whole Dorek family line.

But if she did not like the new candidtes to become the next count and she had the opportunity, Elise would not mind killing a few more people.

Her Triston family was completing destroyed and she was most likely the only survivor. So Elise would have no problem with completely destroying the Dorek family too.

The only reason why she had not done so was because doing something like that might create trouble for her mistress, Weiss.

But if she could do this without causing any trouble to Weiss, then she would not think for a second time before doing so.

With this in mind of both of the ladies, they looked at one another and smiled. Then they opened the window and disappeared into the Night again.

The sleep could wait for them. High level knights like them could go without sleeping for several days. So not sleeping for one night was not a big deal.

But they did not want to miss the show that would be happening in the castle. So in order of witness the result of their actions, Weiss and Elise again went toward the castle to observe what was happening there.
