Lust System: Harem Of Beautiful Women-Chapter 541 Planning
Hela continued, her voice growing more impassioned with each word. "Today, my in-law's place had their grand opening. I told you I couldn't make it, and you volunteered to go in my place. I actually thought you had finally matured, that becoming a mother had taught you some sense about social obligations."
"You even told me that you and Luis's wife were going shopping together in the afternoon. You said she was particularly fond of your daughter, that she wanted to have a daughter just as beautiful."
"You two got along so well, you told each other everything. I was genuinely overjoyed at the time, thinking how wonderful it was for relatives to be so close, that you finally had someone to talk to and keep you company."
Hela's voice escalated with emotion, and she nearly slammed the table as she said, "Chloe, how can you face yourself?!"
Hearing this, Chloe's eyes welled up with tears. Luis continued to sip his wine slowly, and said with a light, casual air, "What's the big deal? As long as we keep it hidden, it's fine. No need to make such a fuss."
"You say that so easily," Hela shot back, now redirecting some of her tangled frustration onto Luis. "What if your sister-in-law finds out? What will you do then?"
Chloe thought to herself, 'She already knows.' And her relationship with this very same sister-in-law was far from clear either. To put it bluntly, no one would believe they hadn't slept together.
Of course, she didn't dare say that out loud. If her sister found out about her own daughter-in-law's situation, it would be like pouring gasoline on the fire; an explosion would be almost guaranteed.
"That's easy then, just keep it a secret from her," Luis said with a faint smile, refilling Hela's glass. "Unless, of course, you're planning to be the one to tell her yourself."
"I'm sure you can keep a secret."
"You..." His completely unbothered attitude infuriated Hela. It was a powerless feeling, like punching a pillow, utterly frustrating and leaving her with a deep sense of helplessness.
Putting aside the fact that they were sisters, even between best friends, such a secret could be kept. The problem was, this relationship was just too chaotic, a tangled mess that left her head spinning and her thoughts in disarray.
What the two sisters were thinking at that moment wasn't entirely clear, but one thing was for sure: Luis was starting to get annoyed.
The System hadn't made a peep. It seemed that approaching this task so lightly wasn't going to cut it. As things stood, the System was completely unresponsive to this.
Should he burn his bridges and commit? Luis hesitated, genuinely worried that the two sisters might turn against each other right then and there.
Even though he had put considerable effort into training and conditioning Hela, this situation involved her little sister, whom she had practically raised. Exposing their relationship so directly might just push things beyond his control.
Chloe, who had been quiet and submissive all evening, mustered her courage. After taking a deep, steadying breath, she hugged Luis's arm and spoke with earnest determination:
"Sis, I'm not a little girl anymore. I know exactly what I'm choosing."
"I know I've made a mistake, and I know the consequences if this comes out would be severe. But I won't regret my choice."
"I've told you everything about how good he is to me. I know you have a lot of concerns, but I already have a child, and I'm in the middle of a divorce battle."
"For the sake of my child, I'm not even thinking about remarrying. Just being able to be with him is enough happiness for me."
This heartfelt confession, this attitude of daring to love and daring to take the consequences, left Hela stunned. It was then she truly realized just how deeply her sister was entangled.
Chloe continued, her voice firm. "And if that day comes, I'll bear all the criticism and shame. I don't want to ruin his marriage, but if it ever becomes possible, I will resolutely marry him without hesitation."
"Have you lost your mind?!"
Hela's frustration intensified upon hearing this. Her sister's resolute attitude stirred a strange mix of threat and jealousy within her.
She knew her sister would undoubtedly win her divorce case, after which she would be single again. She could then legitimately, openly be with this lover of hers.
As long as no one found out, it would be fine. And even if they did, the social condemnation wouldn't be that severe.
But for her, it was different. No matter how empty and hollow her marriage to her husband was, she could never divorce him to marry Luis. In that moment, she even felt a pang of envy for her sister, and admired her courage.
Luis, however, remained as calm and composed as ever, his expression serene. He glanced at her and said softly, "Chloe, do you remember that leverage I told you about before, the kind that could be used to threaten someone?"
"I... I remember, of course!" Chloe replied, a little startled by the sudden question.
She remembered every single detail about this man, every moment etched deep into her soul. She remembered exactly how many times he had come inside her, how he liked to clean her up afterwards with his tongue... it was all ingrained in the very core of her being.
"Ding... Side quest (Fuck Your Mother) is now activating!!!"
The System's prompt sounded in his mind, and Luis knew he had made the right choice by throwing caution to the wind.
Since they had come this far, it was time for an honest, open conversation. Tearing down this last veil of pretense had yielded exactly the kind of result he had anticipated.
"What are you going to do?!" Hela's voice trembled with panic.
At this point, hesitating and overthinking things would be pointless. With the support of his Affection Through Familiarity hack, Luis was confident that even if everything was laid bare, it wouldn't lead to a complete falling out.
Seeing her sister's panicked reaction, Chloe grew even more confused. "You told me about it, didn't you?" she whispered.
Hela wanted to stop him, but Luis just smiled and gently held her back. "Chloe, I think fate is a truly remarkable thing. It's not just about you; it's the same with your sister."
"What does my sister have to do with any of this?" Chloe asked, her confusion deepening.
Hela, on the other hand, began to feel a deep sense of unease. She couldn't help but let out a long, heavy sigh. She could see the man's determination.
The truth was, Luis hadn't discussed this with her beforehand. Now, choosing to reveal his relationship with her sister, Hela had long suspected this day might come. She realized he was probably going to shatter the illusion and lay everything bare.
The matriarchal authority she had held as the eldest sister, the one who was like a mother to Chloe... was about to be destroyed.
A wide grin spread across Luis's face. "As it happens, that piece of evidence... it involves your sister."
Hela sighed, and met her sister's questioning, shocked gaze. She nodded, "It's true."
"You know I was competing for the position of Vice Dean. If that evidence had fallen into Kai's hands, not only would I have had no chance of getting promoted, I might even be facing jail time."
"That serious?!"
Chloe's face was a mask of shock. "Sis, you got the position in the end, right? So it's okay now, isn't it?"
"It's okay now."
Hela possessed a strong will. She wasn't the type of weak woman who fell apart at the first sign of stress. She quickly composed herself.
She realized that she and her sister shared the same self-deception. Even though their bodies and minds had been completely conquered by this man, even though they had utterly succumbed and fallen into depravity.
They still managed to fool themselves, to conveniently forget the complicated web of family ties that bound them to him, to conveniently ignore the devastating fallout that would surely follow if their relationship was ever exposed.
Now that Luis had chosen to be the one to break the silence, Hela felt both put on the spot and, strangely, like she'd been given a way out, a face-saving excuse.
She shot Luis a look full of reproach and said softly, "He handed the evidence over to me. If it had ended up in Kai's hands... I would be beyond saving by now."
"Well, of course. You're family, after all. And you're his sister."
Chloe, her face alight with emotion, hugged Luis's arm tightly and murmured adoringly, "Sweetheart, why didn't you ever tell me about this?"
"Easy, sweetheart. Let your sister finish."
He gave her a light, fleeting kiss on the lips, then looked at his tender, love-struck little lover before turning his gaze back to Hela, his eyes gleaming with wicked intent.
