lust bound: The prostitute rank up system.-Chapter 140:One eyed
Alaric hesitated. He had thought Jezebel’s grandfather had told them his level already but it seems it wasn’t the case.
"I’m an A class," he answered confidently. He didn’t want them to look down on him and being able to participate in the dungeon without feeling discriminated was his goal.
He didn’t want to be the odd one out in the team. It would be painfully awkward. The others were a team and he was the new guy.
"Ooh, that’s a surprise. That old man didn’t tell me your level," the man, the guild master, said with a smile, and walked over to him and patted his back. It was painful.
"I thought you knew, or I would have added that in my introduction. "
"No worries. I’ve had to deal with a lot of pretty-looking boys like you who can’t fight to save their lives. They’re always so much trouble, at least you’re strong for a pretty boy."
Alaric laughed awkwardly. He has never been called a pretty boy by anyone. This was the first time someone had called him that. A man at that, maybe it was because he took care of himself a bit too much and the man was much rougher with bulging muscles.
Alaric was on the leaner-built side.
"You can call me Silas, I’m the guild master of the Eagles guild," the man said proudly.
Alaric has never heard of the Eagles Guild. It was probably small or not famous enough. Guilds that were able to gain access to A-class dungeons had to have some influence on them.
"I’m Sharon," the girl with a lot of piercings said grumpily. Alaric nodded and smiled at her. She had changed her tune pretty quickly.
"Brian," one of the men holding a red shield said.
"Desmond, " the one standing next to him, just like the guild master, was built like a tank, said the one standing next to him.
"Jacob," the shortest one in the group said. He was fully bald.
"Annet," the last girl in the group said, she had long black hair that went past her ass. Alaric wondered how she even fought with her hair still loose.
"You’re welcome to join the group. Forgive the others’ rudeness, they don’t react well to new additions. "
"It’s okay, that’ss understandable."
The other two that Alaric had left behind walked out from the back of the lorry and came to stand by Sharon. Alaric didn’t acknowledge them since they had already met.
"Okay, since everyone is here we’ll be entering the dungeon in about ten minutes. He pointed at Alaric and the other two who had arrived late.
These ten minutes are for the three of you to register, and everyone also to prepare themselves. "
Alaric handed his card to the girl, who was still seated during the entire ordeal, and never introduced herself. She took the card and stamped it before giving it back to him.
"Good luck in there," she said softly while handing him his card back.
"Thank you," he answered with a professional smile painted on his face.
He walked to the dungeon gate and stood in front of it, studying it. A silvery white color that seemed to glow with every swirl.
"It’s fascinating, isn’t it?" The guild master came and stood beside him. Alaric nodded.
"I always wonder where it came from."
The guild master shook his head.
"Don’t know, I was there when they first occurred. It was pure carnage, people were being pulled in forcefully, and wherever they appeared, regardless of class, they destroyed the surrounding area. "
Alaric looked at him with curiosity. The information about the first appearance had always been vague.
"That must have been a nightmare. "
The guildmaster nodded.
"Right now, the dungeons are milder, and they don’t pull people in by force. Imagine going for a walk then being pulled into a dungeon and falling in the middle of a goblin village."
"Thats oddly specific."
The guild master chuckled.
"Of course it is. That’s what happened to me. Atleast i had not been alone," he said with a sigh of relief escaping him.
Alaric just remained quiet. Soothing pressure can really do wonders.
The guild master turned to the others who had also been listening.
"Its time to enter, you know the rule. Don’t wander around; even a rock can be dangerous, and absolutely do not lie if you are affected by the dungeon. You all know the consequence for lying. "
The others nodded.
The guild master stepped forward and his body disappeared into the dungeon. Alaric waited until everyone was inside before he followed.
He stepped into the resting place and looked around. The place was full of green grass and it was warm.
"What dungeon do you think this is?" Someone in the crowd asked.
"I’m not really sure, unfortunately, this place just makes it worse since it’s just grass and nothing else," the guild master said thoughtfully.
"System what dungeon is this?" Alaric asked inwardly.
DUNGEON NAME: The one-eyed forest.
CLASSIFICATION: A rank
TYPE: Forest dungeon
ENTRY: voluntary.
STATUS:Frostbound Crimson whip- usable
SURVIVAL: 90%
This was the first time Alaric had ever seen such a high survival rate. But he was glad since it meant he wouldn’t die.
"One-eyed forest?" He muttered softly to himself. He couldn’t come up with a possible reasoning as to what would be inside the dungeon to give it its name.
He looked at the others, who didn’t seem that worried, and shrugged. It was better to just explore and understand the dungeon as he went.
"Times up," the dungeon master said.
The cover started to shimmer before it disappeared. What was revealed in front of them was a fully grown green forest.
Large trees almost three times his size stood in front of him. The forest was filled only with giant trees.
"Those trees are massive, " Sharon, the girl with piercings, said while touching one of them.
"Okay let’s go," the guild master said and led them into the forest.
"I thought it would be extremely dark in here," Alaric said while looking around. Despite the trees being massive, there was enough space to allow natural light inside.
"Yeah, it’s weird."
"The trees might be alive you know.."
"Don’t fucking scare me.."
Mumbles filled the group as they walked deeper into the giant forest. The guild master seemed to be aiming for the mountain a few distances away. It also stood out massively against the forest.
Alaric was touching each tree as they moved when the ground vibrated followed by a loud roar that shook the trees.
"What was that?" someone asked.
Everyone took out their weapons and looked towards the eastern side of the forest. The ground vibrating came again in intervals over and over again, and it seemed to be coming closer fast.
"Someone tell me those aren’t footsteps?"
The question was answered when a large foot appeared just a few meters away from them. The moment it stepped on the ground, the trees around it were crushed, and it sank into the ground.
The ground shook even more violently. Alaric had to hold the tree next to him for balance.
"Watch out," the guild master’s voice filled the air.
An equally large hand swept up from the air swiping the trees that were around them. Everyone scrambled to escape the hand as they rolled or jumped back.
Alaric’s tree was also uprooted the roots narrowly missing him. Everyone subconsciously moved together and regrouped as they all looked up at the giant looking down at them. It’s one large red eye on its forehead, blinking at them while they maintain eye contact. That was the only thing Alaric assumed since its eye was really too big.
"So we got a cyclops dungeon, this is going to be a bitch to fight."
"What do we have here? Insects have managed to enter my sanctuary," a booming deep voice came from the cyclop.
Alaric’s eyes widened in shock. He has heard about A rank monsters being highly intelligent but seeing and believing were two different things.
Except for the goblin he had killed, he had never seen another talking dungeon monster. The cyclop’s voice was so loud it felt as if it could tear his eardrums.
"So...ahm should we run or what?"
Alaric agreed with whoever whispered. The place was too congested. He had not really anticipated fighting a giant. The hand around his whip tightened as he prepared himself for the inevitable fight.
"Since you do not answer them, talk to my kittie," the cyclops said before sounds of many legs shuffling filled the forest floor. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Whatever those kitties were, they were coming.
"Everyone the kitties are only pet wolves. Cyclops are famous for domesticating them," the guild master said with a confident smile. He looked carefree despite his members’ worries.
Alaric understood why the group still had its morale up despite the grumbling.
Wolves ten times the normal size shot out of the woods heading directly for them. Their mouths were drooling and Alaric could even see the anticipation in their eyes.
