"Hide." Seeing the man driving this way, Mr. Qin pulled her into the nearby bushes.

The BMW whooshed past, kicking up dust from the road. Qi Jingren pinched her nose but couldn’t help coughing a few times. Luckily, the car had already gone far by then.

"So you followed him here?"

"Yes." He squinted his eyes and answered, "We’ve had meals together before, but every time he’d get dead drunk and have his assistant carry him back. Compared to today, his behavior was too unusual. He left early without touching any alcohol; knowing that he’s a heavy drinker, it’s odd."

"And then? Maybe he suddenly realized he wants to quit drinking. Just based on that, you decided to follow him?"

"Of course not." He rolled his eyes at her, "While I was in the bathroom, I overheard him mentioning something about cargo on the phone. To my knowledge, Green Group never deals in arms, so I thought he might be selling something else and decided to check it out. Besides, didn’t you call me earlier asking me to alert Ciao’s security to monitor? So I connected the dots and followed him here."

"Maybe he bought a gun just for self-defense?" Qi Jingren said.

"I’ve sparred with him in a taekwondo gym before. He fights well. If it’s just for self-defense, he wouldn’t need a gun." Mr. Qin explained, "So, it’s possible he’s being threatened with a gun by someone else, or plotting something unknown."

At this point, the car suddenly drove out of the mountainous area and onto the road, surrounded by other vehicles. Mr. Qin no longer worried, keeping a distance twenty meters away, just ensuring he wasn’t spotted through the rearview mirror.

"What about you? Why are you following that man in black?" He leaned on the car window with one hand, holding the steering wheel with the other.

Qi Jingren looked ahead and replied, "No particular reason, just simply felt that person seemed like the one who shot Jiuyi."

"I have the same feeling." He agreed, then smiled and turned to look at her, "I didn’t expect your intuition to be quite sharp."

Qi Jingren glanced at him and suddenly remembered something, "Oh, I still need to call Jiuyi."
