Love You for the Rest of My Life-Chapter 27 No One is Allowed to Touch His Things
"BOSS, are we still attending the social engagement tonight?" Assistant Li Yuan asked, glancing at the silent Di Mingjue in the car.
"Yes." Di Mingjue responded curtly, snapping back to reality. He realized it was time to make things clear with Bo Chengxin; otherwise, everyone would think that he, Di Mingjue, had a girlfriend, yet was sleeping with Gu Qibao.
An image of that girl suddenly flashed in his mind. Gu Qibao had grown up. Her long, silky hair, curved eyebrows, and bright, red lips made her look more beautiful than ever.
Even without any adornment, she was like a pearl. Her innocent appearance suggested she was a stranger to worldly matters, but that was merely an impression. She was a wild one, free-spirited like a mustang. In three words, she needed taming.
Watching her fiery behavior made him want to tame her. Subduing her seemed like an entertaining idea; seeing her lose her temper and then admit defeat gave him a sense of accomplishment.
Every encounter with her was full of fun. The way she surrendered was especially endearing, like a gentle sheepdog with big, grape-like eyes looking all cute and silly.
This made him want to tease her every time, seeing her admitting defeat so easily. Her defeated expression made him want to dominate her completely before holding her protectively in his hands.
So, a top-grade is a top-grade, a pervert is a pervert. The minds of such people are really hard to comprehend...
In fact, he himself didn’t quite understand why he felt obliged to clear things up with Bo Chengxin. All he remembered was hearing a few exchanges in the parking lot and Gu Qibao’s denial. At that moment, he felt quite angry. Was that silly girl so timid that she didn’t have the courage to admit the truth?
He also noticed her interactions with Bo Chengyan. He knew that the glass of wine she had offered earlier was intended for Bo Chengyan, not for him. It was quite obvious that Gu Qibao was smitten with Bo Chengyan.
For some reason, he didn’t like this feeling at all. Gu Qibao had been intimate with him, yet she was thinking of another man. She was so careful and pleasing to Bo Chengyan, completely different from how she behaved with him.
When did something that belonged to Di Mingjue become accessible to others?
Even if he didn’t like Gu Qibao, Gu Qibao couldn’t be allowed to like anyone else.
In his mind, what he had possessed belonged to him. This meant others had no right to use it; only he could.
Even if one day he discarded it, it would still belong to him, and no one could take it away.
Moreover, that possession had to belong to him entirely, body and soul, every hair strand included. If it dared not to, he’d kill her!
Even if he discarded it, others had no right to use it!
Gu Qibao was in a terrible mood. Not only had she become the other woman, she had also lost the man she loved. Only those who have experienced such situations would understand how it feels.
But she felt powerless and didn’t know who to blame. Should she blame Nangong Ran? Or Di Mingjue? Or Bo Chengyan? She was not sure, so she could only blame herself.
Nangong Ran knew that Gu Qibao’s mood was quite low; her own heart filled with guilt. This situation would be uncomfortable for anyone.
So, she dragged Gu Qibao to Jinwei Pavilion, hoping to cheer her up with some good food and offer some consolation.
Sitting in the private room, Gu Qibao told Nangong Ran solemnly that she had experienced a heartbreak.
Listening to her, Nangong Ran felt a pang of sadness, but she couldn’t help saying, "You aren’t even in a relationship yet!"
"Ah..." Gu Qibao sighed deeply and said mournfully, "Experiencing heartbreak without having loved is the saddest thing in the world."
"But don’t you still have Di Mingjue?" Nangong Ran said. She felt that Di Mingjue was quite good, despite his cold exterior. He had moments of kindness, like when she visited him in his office.
