Love You for the Rest of My Life-Chapter 2031 - 2028: Pretty Talented, Isn’t She?
With such wild thoughts, Nangong Ran started to feel a little drowsy. She really was exhausted, and her body ached terribly.
Through the haze, the bed beside her sagged, and then a burning hot body squeezed in, pulling her into an embrace.
The scorching body was pressed against her back, making her instinctively squirm a little, finding a more comfortable position.
The man’s spine stiffened a bit, this silly girl.
She had a really good sleep.
Nangong Ran slept so deeply that she didn’t wake up until the afternoon of the next day.
After a full sleep, she was feeling much more refreshed.
She groggily opened her eyes, and there was no one in the room.
Previously, she knew that Di Mingchen seemed to have gotten up early. She vaguely responded a couple of sentences, saying she still wanted to sleep.
Then Di Mingchen seemed to have said he was going for his morning exercise.
She fumbled for her phone to check the time; it was already three in the afternoon.
On the phone, Gu Qibao, Di Jinxuan, and Di Xiaxia had all called her separately. She didn’t realize because she had put her phone on silent last night.
Nangong Ran sat up and was about to return the calls when suddenly a delicious aroma wafted into her nose. Whoa, that smells amazing!
She looked over and found that someone seemed to be in the kitchen. Could it be Di Mingchen?
The aroma was that of porridge. If she guessed it right, it should be seafood porridge.
Nangong Ran gently put on her clothes, tiptoed out of bed, and quietly ran to the edge of the kitchen to take a look.
The tall figure of a man was indeed standing in the kitchen, looking the part with an apron tied around his waist.
There were two ceramic pots on the stove, seemingly stewing something, with an enticing aroma wafting around.
Di Mingchen was washing something, seemingly scallions, with such proficiency he looked like an expert.
Nangong Ran leaned against the door with a smile.
"Bro." She stepped forward.
Di Mingchen turned around, "Awake?"
"Mmm." Nangong Ran scratched her head that looked like a bird’s nest and sniffed, "What are you making? It smells so good."
"I made you a pot of porridge and some ribs," Di Mingchen smiled, his smile incredibly charming.
Nangong Ran was momentarily dazed.
"Does your body still hurt?" he asked, swiftly picking up a cutting board to prepare the scallions, "The porridge and ribs are ready, just need to sprinkle scallions, you can sit on the couch and wait."
Nangong Ran blinked her eyes, pointing at the cutting board, "You can cook?"
"Mmm." Di Mingchen nodded.
Nangong Ran watched him cut the bunch of scallions in half, then skillfully put them together to chop again.
She found it fascinating, and couldn’t help but say, "Can I cut?"
"You can?" Di Mingchen raised an eyebrow at her.
"Nope." Nangong Ran decisively shook her head, then smiled, "But I can try!"
"Alright, then you give it a try, I’ll teach you." Di Mingchen handed her the knife.
Nangong Ran took the knife and nodded vigorously, "Watch me!"
She originally thought she could also cut the scallions as neatly and beautifully as Di Mingchen, but...
The ideal is bountiful, but reality is harsh!
Looking at the scallions she chopped into something resembling weeds, Nangong Ran couldn’t say anything. Just wanted to say it’s passable, after all, they can still be eaten, scallions are just for flavor!
"You silly." Di Mingchen looked at the tragically chopped scallions and couldn’t help but laugh and curse.
Nangong Ran stuck out her tongue, "For the first time, this is not bad at all! Don’t you think I have talent?"
"Yes." Di Mingchen said decisively, "The talent is quite good, but looking at this makes me lose my appetite."
Nangong Ran: "..."
Indeed, if you’re going to put a bunch of weed-like scallions in the porridge, who could eat it?
But hey, it’s the first time!
