Chapter 159: Chapter 82: The Beginning of an Idea_2

Then she glanced at the exceptionally handsome man beside her and asked on a whim: "When did you start liking me?"

Fu Weiheng paused in turning the page, turned his head, organized his memories, and said unhurriedly: "...The third time I saw you, you said I was a capitalist and not a good match."

Su Wan was taken aback, recalling for a moment, it seemed she really did say that...

She pressed further: "Did that spark your desire to conquer?"

Desire to conquer?

Fu Weiheng frowned slightly and corrected, "No, it happened when I was in London."

Su Wan was amazed: "Love at first sight?"

He raised an eyebrow, neither confirming nor denying.

Su pondered for a long time and then scoffed: "Fu Weiheng, you were just driven by lust!"

——

The next day at noon, Fu Weiheng and Su Wan arranged to have a meal with Jiang Yun.

For convenience, Jiang Yun chose the location to be at Magic and specially ordered some dishes that Su Wan loved.

When they arrived, the waiter was just about to serve the dishes. The meal was only for the three of them, being family, there was no need for formalities.

Halfway through the meal, Jiang Yun suddenly spoke: "Wanwan, mom has to go back to London tomorrow because Albert hasn’t been feeling well lately..."

Albert, Su Wan’s half-brother on her mother’s side.

Su Wan took a bite of beef tenderloin, looked up at her, and felt nothing special: "Oh."

Jiang Yun pursed her lips and continued, "I’ll make sure to be there for your competition day, but I won’t be able to practice with you these days." She then turned to Fu Weiheng, "Neil, when you go to the United States, please take good care of her."

Fu Weiheng smiled and nodded: "Of course, mom. Don’t worry."

After the arrangements were set, Jiang Yun felt relieved, yet seeing Su Wan being silent made her somewhat uneasy.

Su Wan put some rice in her mouth, then spoke: "Mom, take care on the way." She lowered her eyes, her tone was a bit stiff, but sincere, "...Once my brother gets better, you can bring him to visit Yanchuan."

Jiang Yun was momentarily stunned, then her lips spread into a joyous smile: "Alright, alright!"

——

A week later, Su Wan and Fu Weiheng embarked on their journey to the piano competition in San Francisco, United States.

Accompanying them were Fu Weijin, Ye Fan, Mu Qing, Fu Yi Yuan, and Mr. Fu. During Fu Weiheng’s absence, the business of Endless would be temporarily handled by Ye Yin Huan. Although Mr. Ye was extremely unwilling to be apart from his wife, due to an important project in his company, he couldn’t travel, and so had to deal with it.

The day of departure was perfectly clear with no wind, ideal for flying.

Recently, perhaps from over-practicing the piano, Su Wan was too exhausted to sleep well at night. As soon as she boarded the plane, she leaned on Fu Weiheng and fell asleep, sleeping deeply for the ten-plus hours from takeoff to landing, except when Fu Weiheng forced her awake for lunch.

In early September, San Francisco was cooler compared to Yanchuan, where even by the end of September, the heat felt like a blazing fireball.

The competition was scheduled for September 7th, and they arrived three days earlier to adjust their jet lag and adapt to the environment, hoping to be in the best state for the competition.

At the airport, they saw two Maybachs that had been waiting there. Su Wan incredulously glanced at Fu Weiheng, then finally opened the car door and got in. The ride was about an hour before they stopped at a hotel that appeared exceedingly luxurious.

When getting out, Su Wan looked up at the skyscraper towering into the clouds, and with a glance of her eye, noticed a particularly familiar word — Venus.

Ven... Venus?

As Fu Weiheng returned with her piano, Su Wan turned her head to him in disbelief: "This... is your family’s Venus?"

Exiting the car, Fu Weijin overheard and chuckled softly: "Wanwan, the assets of Endless are nothing to scoff at."

Su Wan: "..."

After over ten hours of flight, Mr. Fu’s frail body was exhausted. Upon entering the hotel, he immediately had Fu Yi Yuan take him to his room to rest.

At this moment, American time was just about three in the afternoon. After sleeping for more than ten hours on the plane, Su Wan wasn’t feeling sleepy anymore. Back in the room, she was about to call her aunt to let her know she’s safe, but then remembered it was past three AM in China, so she instead called Jiang Yun.

Jiang Yun was at Heathrow Airport, preparing to board a flight to San Francisco to join Su Wan, and had just cleared security when she got Su Wan’s call.

"Wanwan, have you arrived?" Jiang Yun asked while striding towards the boarding gate.

Su Wan, standing in front of the hotel window, gazed down at the bustling streets of San Francisco: "Mm, just got to the hotel."

Jiang Yun found a place to sit: "Mom is at the airport, the London flight departs for San Francisco around eleven."

Su Wan: "How long until you arrive?"

Jiang Yun glanced at her watch: "The flight will reach the United States around ten at night."

Su Wan turned and headed towards the bathroom: "I’ll ask Neil to have someone pick you up."

Jiang Yun paused for a moment, then agreed: "Okay."

Su Wan: "Be careful, mom."

Hanging up, Su Wan strode into the bathroom and leaned against the doorframe, watching Fu Weiheng wash his face. She said: "Neil, mom will arrive at the airport at ten tonight. Can you arrange for someone to pick her up?"

He splashed water on his face again, and as he raised his head, the water streamed down his well-defined features and soaked into his shirt collar. Su Wan handed him two sheets of tissue.

Fu Weiheng accepted them, dried his face, tossed the tissue into the trash, and walked towards the bed: "Do you think I wouldn’t have planned for that?"

Su Wan followed him: "Huh?"

He raised a hand to undo his shirt buttons: "I’ve already set it up. When it’s about time, the hotel staff will go to the airport to pick mom up."

Su Wan happily smiled and stood in front of him, obediently helping him unbutton: "Thank you."

Fu Weiheng simply let his hands hang by his sides, allowing her to unbutton him, before bending to peck her lips: "Since we’re good, keep me company while I sleep."

Without waiting for Su Wan to react, Mr. Fu had already pulled her into his embrace on the large bed, enfolding her tightly.

His shirt buttons were still half-done. Su Wan clutched the partially undone collar and reminded him: "Your shirt will wrinkle."

Hearing this, Fu Weiheng sat up, quickly stripped off his clothes, and simultaneously peeled off Su Wan’s dress, wrapping around her as they returned to bed.

Seeing the body suddenly pressing against her, Su Wan shyly said: "Weren’t you planning to sleep?"

Fu Weiheng’s voice was low and teasing: "Wife, doing a bit of exercise before bed helps with sleep."

Su Wan: "..."
