Love Symphony: Let Your Heart Beat for Me-Chapter 142 - 076: The Human Heart is Unpredictable
Saturday, the next day, because of Qin Mu’s arrival, Su Wan had to reschedule Ye Fan’s tutoring session to a later time. Before going to bed, she mentioned it to Fu Weijin, who, upon hearing that Su Wan’s cousin was coming to visit, became very hospitable and insisted, without allowing any refusal, on hosting the little cousin for dinner that night.
Unable to resist such hospitality, Su Wan agreed.
Fu Weiheng had to work overtime today, and when he got up, Su Wan was still asleep, so he moved quietly while getting dressed.
After washing up and coming out of the bathroom, he saw Su Wan lying flat on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling with her big round eyes — daydreaming.
He paused, finding her appearance extremely adorable, bent down, and couldn’t help but pinch her cheek, then leaned in to kiss her.
But Su Wan quickly covered her mouth with her hand, her voice still muffled with sleepiness: "Mmm... I haven’t brushed my teeth yet..."
Fu Weiheng lifted her hand from her lips and kissed her, only letting go after a while.
He brushed the hair from her temple and smiled, "Have I kissed you too little?"
Early in the morning, Su Wan was inexplicably teased to the point of blushing: "..."
Feeling triumphant, Mr. Fu was in a particularly good mood as he changed into a dark-colored shirt, ready to leave.
Just as he reached the entrance, he suddenly remembered something, turned back to the bathroom where Su Wan was brushing her teeth, and earnestly reminded her, "Drive carefully, safety first."
Su Wan nodded with her toothbrush in her mouth.
"Don’t drive too fast."
Still nodding.
"Stay in your lane."
Continued nodding.
Seeing her nodding continuously, Fu Weiheng felt increasingly uneasy, took out his phone to make a call, "I’ll have Old Yu pick you up."
"..." Su Wan quickly spit out the foam, raised her hand to stop him, "No need, I can really handle it... Having another person might make Mumu uncomfortable."
Fu Weiheng pondered for a moment, listened to her, and decided not to insist. After all, Su Wan always had a good sense of things, so he nodded and agreed, "Call me immediately if anything happens."
Su Wan: "Alright."
,
By the time she reached the train station, it was almost noon. Su Wan found a less crowded parking spot, parked the car, and hurried to the exit to pick up her cousin.
It was midday, the sun blazing down, making the temperature even hotter. Su Wan waited outside this crowded train station for just five minutes, yet she was already sweaty.
Fortunately, Qin Mu didn’t take long to come out, wearing a short-sleeved top and shorts, with a backpack and a baseball cap, looking very much like a student. As soon as she saw Su Wan from afar, she ignored the busy crowd and ran towards her with her suitcase in tow.
The heat outside was truly unbearable, so without even exchanging simple greetings, Su Wan directly led her to the parking lot.
When they reached the Cayenne, Qin Mu suddenly exclaimed, "Whoa, sis! You’re driving? And a Cayenne at that?"
Su Wan opened the trunk and stuffed her suitcase in: "...Yeah, Fu Weiheng had to work today, so I borrowed his car..."
Once seated in the passenger seat, Qin Mu glanced at the high-end interior of the car and looked at Su Wan in the driver’s seat, suddenly feeling a bit unsure: "Sis, are you... sure you can handle this?"
Su Wan remained calm: "Yes."
Qin Mu: "..." Why do I have a sudden sense of dread...
The car smoothly drove onto the road, with Su Wan focusing on the surroundings, expertly turning the steering wheel.
Originally, Qin Mu was afraid of distracting Su Wan and didn’t dare to speak, but after a while, she couldn’t hold back and started talking to herself: "Sis, I’ll just talk while you listen, otherwise it’s too stifling..."
Su Wan smiled: "Okay."
"My college entrance exam results are out, and I have to fill out my application soon, but I have no idea what to choose." She fiddled with her fingers and looked at Su Wan, "You’re a music student, so you have a specific field to choose from. I’m all over the place and have no idea what to pick..."
"Where are you thinking about applying?" Su Wan casually asked.
Qin Mu responded without hesitation: "Either in Yi City, Yanchuan, or a neighboring city. I don’t want to go too far from home, it’s just Mom and Dad at home, and if I go too far, they’ll be too lonely."
"Hmm, that sounds good." Su Wan was a bit surprised. Normally, Qin Mu seemed carefree, but she did have her own thoughts. Then she asked, "Didn’t cousin say he’s not going back to the United States?"
Qin Mu said, "He’s not, but I heard he’s coming to Yanchuan at the end of August, seems like he’s planning to open a branch there."
Su Wan: "So... you want to study in Yanchuan?"
Qin Mu grinned: "Hehe, sort of, because you’re there too."
