The Purgatory Fire Demon’s fractured arm snapped back into place and healed itself. It couldn’t help but turn to look at the Dusk Knight, who was currently fighting two opponents at once.

"Launch another round of missile strikes," Jiang Che ordered.

"Then dispatch the elite squad to destroy the main summoning ritual array." Jiang Che nodded and gave the order.

Zhou Chen, who had been silent until now, suddenly stood up. "I’m volunteering."

Jiang Che looked over at him calmly. "I know you’re desperate to save Erin, but she certainly wouldn’t want you to go and throw your life away."

"I know."

Zhou Chen’s expression was solemn, his gaze as firm as iron. "But if I do nothing, I’ll regret it for the rest of my life."

’Of course I’m afraid of dying. I value my life. But whenever I think about never seeing those innocent eyes or that sweet smile again, whenever I picture that naive girl dying in agony and despair... I know I can’t just stand by and do nothing.’

"I didn’t think he would go," Jiang Che said calmly.

"But he went anyway. You’re actually quite happy about it, aren’t you? It proves you weren’t wrong about him."

The King of Mirrors coughed twice and said in a weak voice, "Many people are like that. Often, they don’t even realize something has taken root in their hearts. They don’t notice it day to day, but the moment they’re about to lose it, they can unleash unimaginable power. Even a coward can become brave, willing to risk their own life without a second thought..."

Zhou Chen arrived at the Supply Department. He was about to enter a real war and needed to requisition some Forbidden Objects to arm himself. Otherwise, he might be killed before he even reached Jinzhu University.

He swiped the access card on a terminal, which emitted an electronic chime as information on countless Forbidden Objects filled the screen.

"The temporary use period is three hours. If the user dies, the Forbidden Objects will be automatically recovered by the Star Association."

"Please be aware of the side effects of each Forbidden Object. You may now begin your selection."

Zhou Chen quickly scrolled through the pages. Jiang Che’s clearance level made a huge difference; the number of available Forbidden Objects had increased dramatically. There were over a hundred C-Level items alone, and the number of D-Level items was as high as three hundred.

He quickly selected five Forbidden Objects based on his needs.
