Lord of Mysterious Wizard-Chapter 226 - : Invitation from the Sith
Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Invitation from the Sith
At dawn, the warm Sun slowly ascends, and Messer City, having weathered disaster, is gradually awakening.
Every citizen now possesses a set of memories tampered with by the “Cylinder Brain,” leaving them tired but without any aftereffects. Apart from a few informed individuals, no one knows what Messer City went through last night.
The citizens, still caught up in their busyness, start a new day.
Thorns Campus, the brick-and-stone building.
Sitting on the soft carpet, Tang Qi has been in meditation for nearly the entire night.
His mind remains in that immensely dark world where, like the vast space of the universe, meteors continue to streak by—one after another—and even a full night’s passage hasn’t exhausted this exceptional meteor shower.
Even these have already been intelligently selected.
Conforming to Tang Qi’s “Merit,” the items requiring even greater Merit to exchange were absent.
Describing Tang Qi’s sensation throughout the past night as a dizzying whirl would be an understatement; he hasn’t made his first choice yet.
He is like a greedy boy lingering in a treasure mountain that seems never to end; he can only choose a limited number of things, but there are always surprises bursting forth ahead, making even those without decision paralysis unable to quickly come to a decision.
However, Tang Qi has already made up his mind, about to make his first choice since his spiritual power is nearly depleted.
Meditation increases spiritual power.
But “exchanging” consumes it.
Among the incessant meteor shower, beyond the many surprises, there are even more useless things—pieces of information that Tang Qi can’t even comprehend what they are exactly.
One piece of good news is that Tang Qi doesn’t need to spend all his Merit at once.
The Merit represented by those three radiant and warm Suns can continuously accumulate. This is normal; after all, the intelligent program of the Master of the Crucible has simplified the process of hunt, sacrifice, and exchange to this extent.
“Sigh”
Taking a non-existent deep breath, Tang Qi ignored the new meteors flowing in.
Instead, he recalled in his mind and quickly formed a thought.
“Hum”
“Boom”
In an instant, as Tang Qi made his choice, he saw a dazzling meteor dragging a tail flame rumbling from the depths of the universe. When it burst into his mind’s space, turning into a tide of Information Fragments, Tang Qi sensed something and looked to his side.
The first of those three Suns had suddenly dimmed considerably.
Indeed, it didn’t disappear but merely dimmed, which meant that the first thing Tang Qi exchanged didn’t use up much Merit, at least not a third.
Pleased to disconnect from this strange space and return to himself, Tang Qi didn’t immediately wake up. Instead, he sank back into his mind, and a new Skill immediately emerged.
“Skill: Molten Furnace Refining Method, a foundational witchcraft accompanying the Golden Furnace Meditation Method. Its sole purpose is to refine the Melting Furnace Power…”
Yes, this was the first thing—or Skill—that was exchanged.
Although initially, the intelligent program almost laid out the full set of “Molten Furnace Witchcraft,” as if aware of Tang Qi’s current predicament. Regretfully, Tang Qi didn’t have much interest in becoming a complete Melter Wizard.
However, this Basic Witchcraft is what Tang Qi presently lacks the most.
Exchanging it out, it perfectly supplements the rawness and roughness in Tang Qi’s use of Melting Furnace Power.
As for the remaining Merit?
Tang Qi isn’t in a hurry to use it. Now, not only is he free from the threat of a mortal enemy, but even his environment has become peaceful.
After last night’s drastic changes, barring any new unforeseen events, Messer City is about to enter an exceptionally rare peaceful period.
The root source of all turmoil and misfortune… the Hastu Club, has been completely eradicated.
Messer City’s malignant tumor, the First Family, led by Andrew Mellon of the Mellon Family, is also reduced by ninety percent.
Before that, the many Abnormalities in Messer City were swept away by the Hastu Club; coupled with last night’s double devastation from the Bright Church and the Ancient Castle Bureau, aside from some Transcendents who participated in the combat, most of the Abnormalities have either died or fled.
In other words, the entire Divine Eagle Federation might not find a safer place than Messer City for the time being.
Of course, the Spiritual Tide is still ongoing, and given the rate at which Abnormalities are emerging, it’s only a matter of time before Messer City falls once again.
However, before that happens, Tang Qi speculated that he could enjoy a long period of leisure time.
“Perfect, I can use this peaceful time to refine my Melting Furnace Power properly, integrate my Fighting Skill, and those Witchcrafts with immense potential from Ralph’s notebook, and even make a bid for the apprentice title of the Original Secret Medicine School. Maybe I could even try to put a bounty on that rubber fruit at the market, oh, and also my Casting Skill…”
As Tang Qi was planning his Cultivation schedule for the near future, he got up leisurely to prepare breakfast.
It had been some time since he had a proper breakfast.
As Tang Qi thought this and was heading downstairs, that familiar sound rang out once again.
Ding-a-ling-ling!
The phone rang, unsurprisingly.
The only thing in this small building that could startle Tang Qi was the sound of the phone.
He walked straight over and couldn’t help but mutter, “After last night’s battle, there should be a lot of things to be busy with, so why are they contacting someone who didn’t participate in the fight?”
As he finished speaking, Tang Qi pushed away the curious big head of the Little Guy that had come close, and then picked up the handset.
The moment it reached his ear, Stanna’s voice came through.
“Tang Qi, Hall and Sith are about to leave, but before they do, they have specifically requested to meet with you.”
“That’s a good thing.”
After a brief pause, Stanna added,
“They specifically asked to see me? Is that a good thing?”

Tang Qi was slightly startled and immediately began to recall the entirety of last night’s events.
He was confident that he hadn’t exposed himself.
The Second Body Secret Medicine combined with his perfect acting were things Tang Qi was confident could fool even the two strong individuals who had fought hard.
“Good, I’ll be there shortly.”
Tang Qi didn’t need much time to consider and quickly agreed.
…
A short while later, Tang Qi met with Hall and Sith again in the special division of the Messer Police Station, as well as the rest of the Transcendent agents from the Ancient Castle Bureau and the Bright Priests who had made a name for themselves last night.
With a single touch, Tang Qi knew he hadn’t been exposed.
The way Hall and Sith looked at him was still the same as before, as if they were looking at an interesting young man. If he had been exposed the previous night, then a more likely scene at this moment would probably involve Sith drawing his sword to attack.
One night was enough for Sith and those priests to figure out the trick within the Knight Sword.
Of course, even with that trickery, the Knight Sword of Martin Sims was still greatly valued by the Bright Church. As Tang Qi was pondering, he saw that Hall didn’t bother with pleasantries but instead extended a direct invitation.
It was an invitation not just to Tang Qi, but to Stanna as well.
“The Ancient Castle Bureau is recruiting new members, if you agree, we’ll double the conditions Old Coulson had previously set.”
“Additionally, Stanna, you can participate too. You have the potential to become a Transcendent.”
Hall had just finished speaking when, without waiting for their reactions,
Sith also suddenly chimed in, addressing Stanna separately.
“That’s right, you’re a fine young individual, perhaps you could join our Church. I think Sister Teresa would be very willing to teach a Female Knight.”
“Hiss~”
As Sith’s voice fell, suddenly a series of astonished gazes fell upon Stanna.
