Lingering Passion: Mr. Sutton Wants to be Your Male Lead!-Chapter 196: Restless
Who is he?
Of course, he refers to Silas Sutton, who is sitting in the car with a cigarette in his mouth at this moment.
When Justin Harrison finished speaking, Michelle Coleman tightly pressed her lips and shook her head, tears swirling in her eyes but just barely held back from falling, "No."
Hearing Michelle say no, Justin’s expression visibly turned uglier.
Michelle lowered her eyes, "Dr. Harrison, I need to go back to the ward."
Saying this, Michelle pulled her wrist out of Justin’s hand and turned to walk towards the inpatient department.
Seeing this, Justin hurriedly followed her.
When the two passed by Stella Grant, they stopped simultaneously.
Michelle once again took on the victim’s posture, trembling her lips as she spoke to Stella, "Miss Grant, I’m really sorry."
Stella glanced at her, with no intention of playing along, and without responding, she directly stepped away.
Unexpectedly, just as she stepped out, Justin grabbed her arm.
"Stella Grant, Michelle is apologizing to you, didn’t you hear?"
"Can’t you be a little less excessive?"
"She’s already apologized to you, what more do you want?"
Justin’s tone was extremely harsh, and his gaze at Stella was full of displeasure, as if it wasn’t The Coleman Family causing trouble in Lynn Adler’s ward earlier, but Stella causing trouble in The Coleman Family’s ward.
As soon as Justin finished speaking, Stella was about to retort when she heard the car door slam shut not far away. Then Silas Sutton’s cold voice rang out in the air, "Dr. Harrison, is your hand in the wrong place?"
Facing Silas Sutton’s dark eyes, Justin hastily let go of Stella’s hand.
Silas strode up to Stella, stood beside her, hands in his pockets, and sneered at Michelle standing next to Justin, "Did I bully you?"
With reddened eyes, Michelle shook her head, "No."
Silas asked again, "Did my girlfriend bully you?"
Michelle continued to shake her head, "No either."
Silas retracted his gaze from her and looked at Justin, "So, who is Dr. Harrison standing up for?"
Silas’s aura was overwhelming, and every time Justin encountered him, he felt oppressed.
The two men locked eyes for a few seconds, with obvious tension in their gazes.
After a moment, Justin gritted his teeth and said, "President Sutton, don’t push it."
Silas sneered, "Dr. Harrison, if you want to become enlightened, don’t urge others to put down their weapons too."
Justin retorted angrily, "President Sutton is accustomed to being high and mighty, naturally doesn’t know how hard life is for those at the bottom."
Silas replied, "Whether I know or not doesn’t matter, as long as Dr. Harrison knows. After all, someone in your position needs a benevolent heart."
Justin was stifled.
The two stood off, and as the atmosphere threatened to freeze, Michelle started to cry again, "I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, I didn’t know my place, I shouldn’t have presumptively apologized to Miss Grant."
Even at this moment, Michelle still played her cards right.
She only mentioned Stella, without saying a word about Silas.
After saying her piece, Michelle didn’t wait for anyone else to speak, but instead wiped her tears and ran off.
Seeing her leave, Justin’s face turned completely ashen.
Silas mocked, nodding toward him, "Dr. Harrison, aren’t you going to chase after her?"
With a glare, Justin hastened to pursue her.
Watching their backs, Silas’s thin lips curled up, "Foolish without realizing it."
Stella said, "In the eyes of most people, Michelle does indeed seem more like the victim."
Being both delicate and fragile, crying at the drop of a hat.
Silas casually remarked, "No worries, I’m in the minority." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Stella turned her head to look at him upon hearing this, and said, "Silas Sutton."
He lowered his eyes, "Hmm?"
She chuckled softly, "You truly fulfill all a woman’s expectations of a partner."
Silas’s lips half-curled, "So, have you thought about extending my tenure as your boyfriend?"
After Silas finished speaking, Stella didn’t respond to him, instead turning to walk toward the car, asking as she went, "What do you want to eat tonight? I’ll cook it myself for you."
Noting that Stella was avoiding the topic, Silas raised a hand to scratch his brow, "Anything is fine."
Stella opened the passenger side door and sat in, "What do you like to eat?"
Walking to the driver’s seat, Silas sat down, not immediately responding. He tapped his fingers lightly on the steering wheel, suddenly hooked an arm around Stella’s waist, pulling her onto his lap.
Stella struggled a few times but couldn’t break free, ending up on his lap.
He looked at her unwaveringly, his long eyes filled with a smile, "What do you think I like to eat?"
Stella’s ears turned red, her hands pressing against his shoulders without answering.
Silas leaned forward, pressing her almost against the steering wheel, and then lowered his head to plant a kiss on the corner of her mouth. One hand hooked around her waist while the other pinched her earlobe, laughing softly, "Stella, your ears have turned red."
Stella inhaled, just about to push him away when the hand on her waist began to misbehave...
