Life Game In Other World-Chapter 1689 - 1688: Sword Light
From the very beginning of encountering this seal, He Ao suspected that the knowledge of this seal originated from a terrifying Higher Being.
But he didn’t immediately associate it with the Mysterious Shadow.
It wasn’t until he heard from Levi that Levi had been in the Northeast Region and confirmed that it was after that Levi became entangled with the Mysterious Shadow.
Combined with the fact that the power attribute shown by Vestan tends towards green, He Ao speculated that the abnormal power attribute should also be green.
And He Ao knows that his good friend has strong ’hostility’ towards the Usurper God Tuning Master with the same gray power attribute. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
A Divine Being with the same color attribute seems to have some kind of irreconcilable conflict with the Usurper God.
So the Mysterious Shadow itself also has a tendency to ’seal’ the Abnormal, yet He Ao doesn’t understand why He doesn’t directly consume the Abnormal like his good friend does, which may involve some deeper secret.
But in any case, He Ao basically confirmed that the Mysterious Shadow is likely the controller behind the entire sealing incident.
Having had many dealings with Divine Beings, He Ao knew very well that a Divine Being could easily ’arrange’ some Angels without exposing itself.
So before the battle began, he exchanged for Linen’s [Whispering Lock].
Of course, these means were prepared to guard against the big sister.
The big sister did set a trap for him, but He Ao wasn’t completely oblivious to it.
Ever since discovering those active Witch Believers of Desire, He Ao had become more vigilant.
It’s just that he didn’t expect the Mysterious Shadow to be so cunning, showing up without making any moves, intending to reap the benefits without effort.
If He Ao hadn’t previously made an agreement with Pete and the Life Goddess to use the mark on Linen at a critical moment to help him block the Mysterious Shadow and buy time for him to attract the attention of his good friend with the power of the God of Knowledge entwined in Linen, he would have been doomed by the Mysterious Shadow.
And the reason he wanted to attract his good friend’s attention was simple: to threaten the Mysterious Shadow.
The chains carried by Linen were obviously what the Mysterious Shadow wanted, and He wouldn’t want another powerful and equally terrifying mystically-inclined Divine Being involved in the fight for the chains.
And He Ao’s threat was indeed successful; upon realizing it was impossible to eliminate He Ao in a short time, the Mysterious Shadow eventually agreed to He Ao’s terms and helped He Ao intercept the Witch of Desire.
He Ao glanced again at the purple brilliance blocked by the giant white tree above.
Could the Mysterious Shadow not block these lights? Impossible, this guy deliberately ’overlooked’ them.
This old penny-pincher.
The reason the Mysterious Shadow was willing to cooperate with He Ao now was entirely due to a Witch of Desire wanting to release the Abnormal, and He didn’t want the Abnormal to be released.
If the Mysterious Shadow completely suppressed the Witch of Desire, this guy would certainly also take action against He Ao, trying to see if ’Loren’ could extract He Ao’s secrets, and if the Witch of Desire won, He Ao wouldn’t escape either.
No matter which of the two Divine Beings won, He Ao would die.
So He Ao had to eliminate Estella before the two Divine Beings settled their battle.
Amidst the tremors above the firmament, his figure, like a stream of light, broke through the mist above, rushing towards the sky.
——
Northern Mountains of Minte City
"It’s the Mysterious Shadow!" Levi rasped, looking at the starlight flickering in the distance.
"Estella is attempting to sacrifice everyone in the Northeast Region," the Elderly quickly said, watching the scene behind the barrier, "we can’t wait for a turnaround; we must act immediately."
At this moment, Levi raised his head and looked at the yellow brilliance forming the framework in front of the barrier.
Boom——
A terrifying storm swept through the world’s lower layer.
And that yellow framework of brilliance seemed to suffer a severe impact of some kind and began to tremble.
"The barrier is unstable," Levi’s gaze instantly solidified, and he advanced without hesitation, "it’s now!"
The Elderly also rushed toward the barrier without hesitation.
But their actions were a step too slow, as the bald man who had originally stood behind the two had already shot out like a cannonball, colliding directly with the brilliance of the barrier.
The resplendent brilliance instantly erupted, enveloping the bald man’s body.
"Ah!!!!"
But the man had no hesitation, directly reaching out and forcibly inserting his hand into the brilliance, as if tearing through fabric, intending to completely rip apart this brilliance.
And Levi and the Elderly also took action simultaneously behind him.
The Elderly raised his hand, holding the staff filled with brilliance, and gently swayed it forward. The continuously trembling yellow framework of brilliance naturally parted to both sides, slightly weakening the brilliance enveloping the man’s body.
A fissure was torn open in the flawless barrier.
And Levi raised his hand, drawing densely packed paths of green brilliance that converged around his body, coagulating into intricate formations.
These formations, shimmering with resplendent brilliance, floated forward one by one, swiftly spreading to the forefront of the small fissure.
These formations stuck closely to the edges of the fissure in the barrier, trembling slightly, as if losing their ability to resist, or perhaps they seemed to dissolve on their own.
The entire fissure rapidly expanded.
"Ahhh!!!"
The bald man exerted force again, his overlapping muscles bulging, further tearing open the fissure along the dissolved portion of the barrier.
The brilliance of the three connected into one, forming a slender blade, piercing into the interior of the barrier, disrupting its balance.
"Our power is somewhat lacking," the Elderly raised the staff in his hand, hoarsely shouting, "It’s too slow, we can’t completely penetrate this barrier."
Hearing this, Levi’s face grew somber as he raised his hand again, green brilliance bursting forth.
"Ahhh!" With intense roars, a giant illusion emerged behind the bald man, amplifying his power further.
The Elderly also raised his head, even stronger brilliance bursting from the staff in his hand.
Simultaneously, he turned back, shouting loudly into the darkness behind him, "How long are you going to watch the show?!"
In that instant, the entire darkness fell silent for a moment.
For a moment, Levi hadn’t yet grasped the meaning of the Elderly’s words, but he felt as if the temperature of the entire night sky had suddenly dropped significantly.
Some terrifying and oppressive aura rapidly spread from behind him.
He instinctively turned back, only to see a colossal silhouette, whose head reached the stars and feet touched the earth, rapidly approaching from behind him.
He saw the silhouette raise its hand, a great sword of light forming in that hand.
Then, in the next instant, before Levi could react, a dazzling sword light had already sliced through the firmament, splitting the void, cleaving winds and stars, and striking the luminous barrier.
Levi stared blankly at the sky.
The world seemed, for an instant, to pause.
Crack—
Along with a crisp sound, the barrier connecting heaven and earth shattered in that moment, tearing open a massive breach above the colossal canyon.
The sprawling, resplendent city encased within the barrier seemed to tremble at that moment as well.
Levi snapped out of it, bowing his head, and looked at the Elderly in bewilderment.
But before he could ask, he heard the elderly shout loudly, "Quick, go in!"
Accompanying this shout, the elderly figure quickly rushed forward.
The bald man who was initially in front of the barrier had already slipped into the rift.
Levi immediately lifted his head, looked at the torn rift, and followed to rush into it.
Boom——
The three figures quickly passed through the rift, and at that moment, a roaring sound echoed behind them.
An intense light filled the rift, as if some invisible stability had suddenly broken, causing the entire barrier connecting heaven and earth to flicker violently.
The yellow glow, filling and serving as the skeleton of the barrier, trembled like hurried breathing, causing the entire barrier to vibrate.
Outside the barrier, the figure with the knife quietly gazed at the trembling barrier and, after a brief pause, stepped back and disappeared into the darkness.
——
Primordial Wilderness
In the moment He Ao’s figure passed through the mist, he felt the world turning upside down with a sudden tremor.
It was as if an earthquake from outside to inside shook the entire space.
The illusory mist waterfall connecting the sky and the earth seemed twisted by some giant force, crashing apart in this moment.
The mist, continuously swallowing figures, also paused its spread at this moment.
The dispersal speed of the mist in the sky slowed down.
He Ao was unclear about the specifics, but it was apparent that this sealing array had been disturbed, likely by Levi’s actions.
Though he hadn’t expected whoever Levi called to be so formidable, able to affect such an array capable of sealing a Usurper God.
At this point, with the mist waterfall breaking apart, Estella floating in the air turned her head and just saw He Ao rushing out of the mist.
"What did you do?" She gazed down at He Ao, asking angrily.
"Only you can call for help?" He Ao shrugged.
He raised his hand, and the dark gun barrel shot out from the earthly mist, landing in his palm like a streak of light.
Simultaneously, his body suddenly sprang forward, charging toward the Estella in front of him.
Estella raised her head, glanced at the sky where the mist was slowing its fall, and the surrounding void trembling with the Divine Being’s battle.
She abruptly raised her hand, and from the depths of the sky mist, that massive, tangible and intangible limb stretched out, instantly lighting up the entire mist with a green glow.
Subsequently, the massive pillars established by Estella around them burst forth with green light, connecting the different pillars, then surging upward to gather on the great limb above the sky.
The entire sky was instantly covered by a massive luminous cone.
And around He Ao, distorted phantoms abruptly emerged.
These phantoms, ghost-like, rushed at He Ao as soon as they appeared.
He Ao raised the gun in his hand, red brilliance enveloping the barrel, swirling suddenly, piercing through a phantom rushing at him.
The phantom was instantly torn apart, scattered into the void.
He Ao watched these phantoms, seeing no soul or flesh structure, seemingly pure creations out of nowhere.
Abnormal?
But it didn’t entirely seem to have an abnormal attribute.
He Ao’s motions didn’t stop, continuously destroying several phantoms, further closing the distance to Estella.
Estella coldly watched all this, seemingly unconcerned with He Ao’s approach, instead lifting her head to continue watching the sky.
The mist between heaven and earth trembled slightly, that torn mist waterfall seemingly reconnecting, while the reversal between heaven and earth was slowly recovering.
And in the void, He Ao, moving forward, shattered several phantoms.
But soon, with specks of light, the fragments of the torn phantoms gathered in front of him, quickly forming massive phantoms one after another.
This phantom, dozens of meters wide, roared toward He Ao.
He Ao dodged, shattered the phantom, and then charged forward, closing in on Estella.
But in the next instant, his body instantaneously appeared at the starting point he left the mist, pulling the distance from Estella once again.
Spatial and temporal change? Some kind of space elongation ability?
He raised his head, looked towards Estella, and at this moment, phantoms once again surged toward him.
These phantoms seemed slightly stronger than before, but he swiftly tore through them.
This time, he again narrowed the distance to Estella.
And as with before, an even larger phantom appeared in front of him.
After dealing with this phantom, he again advanced, once more reset to the original position.
At this point, the shattered mist waterfall was about to fully reconnect, the reduction of the sky mist accelerated, and the void’s tremors grew more intense, as if the Divinity’s battle had reached a crucial point.
He Ao raised his head, looking towards Estella’s direction, with new phantoms already forming ahead of him, stronger than before.
It was as if he had entered some repeatable game, where every time he defeated a ’Boss at the End’, he would reset to the game’s start.
Repeating the progress constantly.
Perhaps the game had a designed endpoint, but upon completing it, the abnormal would have already fully escaped the seal.
Was this Estella’s ability?
In his contemplation, He Ao stopped charging forward, retreating quickly instead.
Around him, phantoms continuously appeared, attacking whether he advanced or retreated.
But this time, He Ao ignored these phantoms, retreating rapidly to the middle of the void where some terrifying and surging power trembled.
That was the power where the Mysterious Shadow and the Witch of Desire met.
As he approached, two gazes swept over him instantly.
Then, without hesitation, He Ao turned and sped back as fast as possible.
At that moment, a purple streak of light suddenly shot out from the brilliance, tearing through the void, charging toward his body.
Soon, this glow followed his path, reaching near Estella.
As the glow was about to make contact with his body, he raised his hand, a giant tree rune flickered across his palm, and pure white light flashed him to the side, charging toward the purple glow.
The purple glow collided with the white glow, instantly tearing the entire void apart.
Then, without hesitation, He Ao forcibly tore a path in the ripped void and stepped forward.
Estella was preparing to reconnect the torn waterfall when a blood-covered face suddenly appeared before her.
